Hehe I know what a keros is ^.^ You got his attitude perfectly! He's a baby still keep that in mind. Battousai-nii Shinta nodded back at Dyanel. Hopefully she would talk to someone after she got her thoughts in order. Shinta gestured for Cheebs to come closer and chuckled when the little keros ((A small winged lion)) flew over and perched in the area between his head and shoulder and snuggled into the folds of his gi. He looked over at Adhara, who seemed to be staring into space. As he stared, she seemed to snap back into reality and apologized. "Is there something bothering you Adhara-dono?" He asked concernedly. Dyanel smiled as Cheebs snuggled into the folds of Shinta's gi. She pushed the door to the kitchen open and walked through the black marble halls. She didn't feel like teleporting, she felt like walking for once.

"Finnally I have made it to the kitchen, that took an exceptionally long time." Samurai X goes to the fridge or ice box or some thing with cold foods in it and pulls out a pizza. Then he goes over to the oven and starts cooking the pizza. "This will take for ever... Ill just use a good ol' fire spell. Vak ron" The kitchen goes up in flames while the pizzas still cold. It appears he has used the wrong spell. "Nu Kron" Ice fills the room and the fires go out... "Ill just use the oven I guess... While its cooking Ill check out the library." After the pizza was put in the oven Samurai X was off to learn fire spells...

((s'okay ^_^ I was busy over the weekend too. Guess what? 12 days until the wedding!))
*Hikari stiffled another giggle at Adhara for having zoned out so completely. She got up and took her dishes to the sink. As Hikari stood at the sink, she thought that she saw a bright flickering light out of the corner of her eye. As though some entity were floating just outside her field of vision. She looked back at the others but they hadn't noticed for they were all still just chatting. She shrugged and turned back to the sink. With little warning, an incredible pressure began to build up on Hikari, as though she were slowly sinking hundreds of feet under water. But it wasn't just that...it felt as though this pressure were alive somehow, she could feel it, the way she would feel a person that was standing with her but not touching her. Just as quickly it passed, and Hikari was startled but unharmed. Again, she looked around but was astonished to find that everyone was still going about their business normally. With a very shaky voice, Hikari said*
Did, uh, did anyone notice anything a little strange or anything?
*Everyone looked at her with questioning faces. It seemed that she was the only one that felt anything. But why? She knew white magic, but was by no means a sorceress or strong magical being.
Suddenly, the pressure was back, worse than before. She had to grip the counter to keep from falling. In reality, there was no real pressure bearing down on her, the atmosphere in the kitchen was as pleasant as it had been moments ago...it was all coming from inside her. This time, she swore she heard a voice. Well, not a voice as anyone would usually think, but more like the sensation of hearing something. She felt she was being called to, but from what, where, why? She remembered someone telling her once that when people go to or deal with the astral plane, they must be very strong or they could be crushed by the interdimensional forces... But she knew no astral magic... Why? The presence, whatever it was, instead of having the feeling of calling out to her, changed to a feeling of frustration, as though Hikari's reaction was not it's expected result. She also felt that the presence was afraid it had hurt her and faded away quickly. The whole thing had lasted only seconds but the effect was devastating. Having little strength left, Hikari crumpled to the floor.*
((eating in the kitchen is nice, but it was getting a little monotonous =P I decided to make things a little more interesting in here))

"No, nothing's bothering me. If you ask Hikari, I tend to zone out every so often. Occupational hazard, you could say," she told Shinta.
"Nothing to worry about, really," she added as Hikari went to the sink. She was about to go back to eating when Hikari asked if they had noticed anything strange and then moments later crumpled to the floor. She dropped the sandwich and dashed to Hikari's side.
"Hikari! Are you alright? Hikari?" she said, worry creeping into her voice as she gently shook the older girl to try and revive her.
"Any of you have any medical experience?" she asked, looking pleadingly around to the others in the kitchen.

"Any of you have any medical experience?" she asked, looking pleadingly around to the others in the kitchen. As Cole sat in the garden, he felt something wrong in the kitchen and sent one of his shadows to find out what was wrong. An S.Cole appeared in the kitchen standing next to Adhara, looking at Hikari. S.Cole knelt down next to Hikari and examined her for a moment. "What happened to her Adhara? Can you tell me what is going?"The S.Cole asked her in a calm collected voice. To Adhara, seeing an S.Cole for the first time; it appeared to look just like Cole expect for the small dark outline in had going around it and the fact that it did not cast a shadow.

((Thanks Dy. Cheebs is cute. wink BTW, I learned the word keros from you. I was just defining it for the others. 3nodding ))
Shinta ran over and cradled Hikari's head and shoulders in his arms and felt her pulse. "She seems to have fainted. Her pulse and breathing are normal though."
Cheebs flew up and settled beside Hikari on the floor."Please be alright Miss Hikari." He said, nudging her shoulder with one soft paw.
"Someone from another realm has tried to contact her." Natsuko told Shinta.
Shinta looked up at the spirit of his beloved. "Do you know why?"
"No. Only that they did not mean any harm." ((Note: Only Shinta can see and hear her most of the time, unless your powers permit otherwise.))
Shinta nodded and looked back at Hikari. "Adhara-dono, she seems to have suffered some kind of mental shock due to contact with another plane. You have more experience than this lowly one with such matters. What should we do?"

"Me? I guess I know a little about premonitions and things of that sort, but I don't know what this could have been. Hikari never had any sort of talent in the premonition area when we were growing up. That was me..." she answered Shinta as a shadow Cole appeared in the kitchen with them.
"I don't really know what happened to her. She was perfectly fine while we were eating lunch, but when she went to the cabinet, she thought she heard something and then passed out. What could have done this to her?" she said when asked what had happened.

Shinta let out a serious sigh. "Natsuko says she does not believe it was an attack of some kind, rather, it was an attempt at contact that had unintended side effects."

"Contact?" Adhara asked, eyes widening. "But who would try to contact Hikari?"
Adhara thought back through any sort of odd thing that had happened to Hikari, but nothing clicked. She'd never passed out like this before, nor had she ever complained of hearing voices of any sort.

"This one does not know Adhara-dono." Shinta replied, "Only that it involved someone from another realm. Does Hikari-dono know anyone who might try to reach her in this way?"

"I haven't a clue, to be honest. I left our clan years ago, so if she does know anyone that would contact her in this way, she would have met them in the last few years. How long has she been here? Are there any people that have telepathic abilities here?"
((Yeah, seems so. Wonder where he wandered off to. Probably bed. ^^ wink )

"Many here have telepathic abilities, including Cole-dono, Dyanel-dono, and myself. However, all those whom this one knows to have such abilities are currently present in the pagoda. Hikari-dono wandered here long before this one did though, so this one cannot be sure."
Shinta thought deeply for a moment. "Perhaps someone no longer living? Her mother perhaps?"

"Her mother? No, I thought she was still alive. She left the village when we were both still young, I think. No one's seen or heard from her since."
Adhara sighed heavily. This was getting them nowhere, and fast.
"The only person who would have any clue as to who was talking to her is probabyl Hikari herself. Is there any way to wake her? I mean, I don't think anything's really wrong with her...at least from a cursory glance, that is. Who knows what sort of mental trauma that contact may have induced."
