Vipin was quivering on the porch of the cabin. He had come out when he heard a female's scream and now the silence was scaring him just as bad as the scream did. "Oh please let them be alright...." He said crying.
Fiorenza was just inside the cabin watching Vipin. She was here even though he said not to be so she could make sure he stayed safe. She had heard the scream and thought it had been Kuoni. Which threw her into another 'fit'. It was only when Vipin said he would go outside and check that she regained her senses.

Kuoni was crying. She kept looking back to see if Lux might catch up to them, and everytime she looked she saw the oddest look on Enigma's face. He looked angry yet sad at the same time. Her paws were aching from all the walking she had done these past few days, but she kept running as fast as she could. When she broke through into a new clearing, she cried happily at the sight of the cabin and her family sitting on the porch. "Mom!" She yipped, running up and burying her face in Fiorenza's fur. She was gasping from the run and from fear. Who had that been and where was Lux?
When Enigma noticed that Kuoni was watching his face, he planted a stioc mask on. It would do no good for Kuoni to worry about him until he could explain everything to her. When he broke through the trees after Kuoni, he skidded to a halt. What? Kuoni ran straight to Fiorenza. Called her 'mom.' Then he realized; he hadn't found Kuoni. Kuoni had found him. He closed his eyes. How long had Kuoni been here?
His eyes snapped back open when Fiorenza's appearance hit him. What happened to her?! He ran forward and stopped at the foot of the porch, staring at her. "Fiorenza."

Vipin jumped up when Kuoni and Enigma walked into the clearing. "Good you guys are back.... Wait. Where's Lux?" He asked but he already knew. Lux was the one who had been screaming. Vipin's eyes welled up with tears and he ran into the house. He had to find someone to go save her.
Fiorenza sighed when Kuoni came back and came to her. "It's alright Kuoni." She said happy that she remembered her daughter this time. However she froze and stepped away from Kuoni when Enigma spoke. Her fur bristled and a low growl escaped her lips. It was him.... the one..... who.... who was this wolf who knew her name? Fiorenza's mind began slipping away and the gleam of madness came back to her eyes.
Lux laid bleeding and broken in the little clearing by the pond where Mikey left her. She was seriously injured; she had gashed all over her body, a big on on her chest and back leg, her right front leg was broken, the bone snapped in half, and her hind left leg was throbbing probably sprained. It hurt for her to breath and to even think.

Kuoni flinched at Vipin's question. "Someone needs to help her." She whispered as he ran into the cabin.
She looked up fearfully when Fiorenza growled. "Oh, no. Momma, wait. Daddy, step back a bit. Just listen, step back."
She turned back to Fiorenza, speaking as calmly and soothingly as she could right then. "Momma, it's okay. He won't hurt you."
Enigma's heart broke. She didn't remember him? He was about to protest to Kuoni when he saw Fiorenza's eyes change. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes in shame as he backed away a few feet. He should have come back. Obviously, staying away until he found their child had done more harm than he thought it ever would. God, what else could he do wrong?
It was all too much for him. The weeks of searching for Kuoni while not taking care of himself, the sight and sound of Mikey, Lux left behind, his love not remembering him and in fact glaring and growling at him... He just shut down and collapsed where he was in a faint.

Fiorenza growled even louder when Enigma backed away. She took a step forward and ignored Kuoni. She didn't even realize that Kuoni was there. Something in her mind clicked and suddenly she knew that Enigma had abandoned her somehow. She crouched down and then leaped towards him her teeth bared.
Aphrodite heard Vipin come running in and headed for the door. She heard some kind of commotion from outside and tilted her head. That sounds like.... Fiorenza growling. She walked out the door and grabbed Fiorenza before she could leap and attack Enigma. "That's enough Fiorenza!" She said harshly. She then dragged Fiorenza back into the cabin mumbling sorry before going in.
Vipin was racing around the cabin trying to find someone, anyone. He stopped when he reached the kitchen and sighed. Why was no one home right now?! He stepped into the kitchen as Aphrodite dragged Fiorenza in. He froze when he spotted someone in the kitchen making something to eat. "Flash!"

"Daddy!? Momma! No!" Kuoni sighed when Aphrodite came out and grabbed Fiorenza. She watched with pained eyes as Fiorenza was dragged back inside, then looked down to her unconcious father. 'Can't I get anything right?!' She padded slowly down the porch and curled up against Enigma. What was she going to do now?

Now that she was inside and couldn't see Enigma, Fiorenza calmed down. "Aphrodite? What is going on? How did I get back in here? I was just outside." She said confused.
Aphrodite sighed when Fiorenza came back to her senses. "You lost it again." She said patting Fiorenza's head, "You saw someone and lost your mind." This caused Fiorenza to sigh. "Don't worry you don't have to face him again until you feel up to it."
~In the kitchen~
Flash looked up from the sandwiches he was making. "Vipin! What are you doing little man?" He asked being his cheerful self, "You look like something is wrong." He frowned for a second then blew out a breath. "What's wrong?"
Vipin nearly collapse in relief. Flash would be able to find Lux quickly and get her the help she needs. "It's Lux. She went out with Kuoni to find Enigma. Well they were still out when night fell and only Kuoni and Enigma came back." He explain quickly, "Well you remember that scream a little bit ago... well that was Lux. You've got to go and find her and help her. Please Flash."
Flash nodded. "I'll get find her. Don't worry about it Vipin." He said with a quick pat to the pup's head, "I guess I'll eat when I get back." With that he was out the back door and racing through the woods.

Kuoni could hear her mother's calmer words through the open front door. She nuzzled Enigma as he started to come to, muttering unintelligably except for his mate's name. She looked over at the front door. What should she do?
Enigma blinked slowly. What happened? He looked up at Kuoni and he smiled faintly. "You're safe." He mumbled, laying his head back down and falling asleep.

Aphrodite continued to talk to Fiorenza for a couple of minutes before finally talking her into going to Blue's room and getting some rest. Once she heard Fiorenza lay down she walked outside. "So you found him Kuoni." She said sitting on the steps.
~In the woods~
Flash caught Lux's scent as he ran around. He ran as fast as he dared while following it. Her scent grew stronger and stronger as he got closer. He reached the small clearing and skidded to a halt. "Oh my..." He said looking at Lux. He walked over to her and gently picked her up. "It's okay Lux. I've got you and I'll get you help." He said reassuringly. He then ran off towards the Vet office in town.
Lux was nearly unconscious from the blood loss when Flash arrived. She whimpered when he picked her up and began running with her. In a matter of minutes she was in the Vet office where she lost consciousness.

Kuoni lifted her head when Aphrodite came out. "Uh-huh." She said quietly. She stood slowly and trotted over to Aphrodite, wincing from the aches in her body as she laid down on the porch next to the anthro. "Is she okay?" She asked, he eyes on Enigma as he slept.

Aphrodite nodded. "I think so.... I think after she rests she might be up to seeing your dad." She said tilting her head, "So what happened out there? I heard Lux's scream... Did you guys run into trouble?"
*Lux is currently being fixed up and Flash is staying so he can bring her home*

Kuoni closed her eyes, remembering. "We had just found daddy. He and Lux started getting fidgity and nervous. We were about to head back when someone attacked us. He looked so... angry. Lux jumped at him and they started fighting. She told us to run. Daddy made us run." Tears quickly filled her eyes and spilled over. "Why would someone attack us like that? He was so angry." She got quieter, now speaking more to herself than Aphrodite. "Why did she have to stay behind? Why did daddy let her stay back alone?"

Aphrodite wrapped an arm around Kuoni. "She had to stay behind to make sure you got away with your dad. It was the reason she went with you in the first place." She said, "If she had tried to go with you and your dad... Who knows what would have happened to you." She paused thinking about who could have done this and would be so angry... The answer was obvious, it had been Mikey.

Kuoni pressed her head into Aphrodite's side. Suddenly, she pulled back and stumbled a few paces away, staring wide eyed at the anthro. '...to make sure you got away... ...the reason she went with you in the first place...' "Are you telling me you knew someone would try to attack us out there!?!?" She screamed. "And only Lux was sent with me?!?!" She gasped loudly, tears burning her eyes. "Who was that out there!?" She demanded.

Aphrodite sighed and shook her head. "We didn't know you would be attacked but Vipin knew it might happen and tried to find some others to go with you. Only Lux said she would... She was the only other one in the cabin at the time." She explained, "Plus Vipin knew that night would be falling soon and that it wouldn't be safe to be out there alone." She shook her head at her demand. "I don't know who attacked you.... But it would only have been one group, Agrona's group."
