What was that sound... She bit her lip. It was tight, wet, hard to breathe, and to top it all off she was dumb! Greeeeat...

There was no time to scream or marvel...she had to get out of here.
Now, what exactly did she feel on the other side?

The thick, dusty grate tasted...well, pretty gross. And to make matters worse, there were no bars or holes to let him see through to whatever passage lie beneath...
It was on pretty tightly, bolted on each corner with a huge steel rod ending on a phillips-head screw tip...

Kali reached around, groping blindly. At the moment, she had forgotten that something bad might be on the other side. Damn curiosity...

Ezriel looked at the gate, searched his person for anything to fit the phillips head screw. Did Night go through there? ...how did she re-bolt it, assuming she did go through? Whatever...
His face now turning blue from holding his breath, Ezriel scrambled to get his shirt over his nose to grab another breath. If he wasn't out of there soon he'd die from the blasted smell of the corpse.

Hm...nothing, really...
Wait. What's this? A small...switch? It felt like an old-fashioned lightswitch, and was actually fixed to this wall...just on the other side. That was odd. Though...so was the cave.

Biting her lip, Sasha looked longingly at the ferry before sighing and saying goodbye to those plans too and turned to follow the voices. She pushed her way through the tree's, the voices slowly growing louder. Finally, she stumbled onto the owner's voices. A well known bully and his heavily musceled, but astonishingly stupid, lackey stood there, and on the ground with a black eye and a cut lip was a girl that Sasha vaguely recalled as working for the ferry service. "Have I interupted something?" she asked innocently when the two turned to see who had come. She was trying to think of some way to get them to leave, but had so far come up with nothing.

To flip or not to flip...well what the hell else was she supposed to do, stand here and suffocate? If she was going to die she didn't want to die wondering why the hell she didn't flip the switch that could have saved her. However it could unleash a torrent of something upon her head...
"Curiosity killed the Kali." she sang with a small, nervous, and hell borderline hysteric giggle, her fingers clasping it and flipping it. Yay! She did it! Now, what the HELL did it do?

He remembered that his keys had...mysteriously disappeared, along with Night. She probably went through the door...
As for Ezriel finding any kind of...item to act as a screwdriver...he was out of luck.
The air was getting continually worse. In a few hours he would undoubtedly black out...or worse.

Click.
With one simple flick of the wrist, the cave...the moisture, the cold, the blackness, the invisible spiders...the fear...all vanished! The once dreadful place was suddenly transformed into a welcoming, yet blank white chamber...endless and confined, simultaneously. She could not see the walls, but knew they existed. The sudden change of light was not blinding, like one would expect. It was...comforting. In the middle of the room, a small metal stool sat alone...
The switch was gone, too. Everything...was-was she dead? Was this some kind of a joke? Was it a dream!? She wanted answers. Now.
You know...she kinda hoped it wasn't a dream, as scary as the thought may be...
Then she wouldn't have to go out in the ******** cold again.

Ezriel went quickly to the door for any glimmer of hope that she left it unlocked so he could get some air.

Well, she was too late to stop them, but at least she could get the poor girl some help. She had only seen her in passing; still, helping others was the right thing to do.
She didn't really know what the extent of the damage was. She was lying on the ground, sobbing and coughing...a little trickle of blood graced her blackened cheek...and something else was odd. Her clothes...seemed torn. It couldn't mean - no! They didn't-
"What's the matter, sweet cheeks?" pryed Rob, who had obviously known she was listening in on the scuffle. He was such a jerk. A rich b***h, really. His dad owned the town's fossil fuel factory, the school, and one of the largest estates across the globe. Rob could do anything his heart desired-and get away with it.
As for Josh...or "Meaty", as he was so...affectionately nicknamed...he couldn't really help being in on this. He was in way too over his head with Rob Doran than would allow escape or even free-thinking.
Rob was a lean, tan, blonde-spiked kid with bright green eyes. He would be pretty attractive, if he weren't such a flaming a**. He always sported a good outfit; today, he was wearing blue designer sneakers, a tan dress coat, white polo (with popped collar, of course), and dark blue acid wash jeans. What a douche. He raised an eyebrow and questioned her again, with red-jumpsuited Meaty at his side, scratching his bald head and picking his huge nose...
"See anything...unusual here? Gotta go cry to your momma, freakazoid? Or are you gonna keep shut like a good girl?"
The poor thing was still shaking...but unable to even utter a sound or move voluntarily.
Sasha's temper flared again, fingers tingling with excitement....this loser had to be taught a lesson. Since there was no school today, how about she did it herself?

None. Zippo.
Hm. No one was around. His heart stirred a little.
He loved to watch things...see how they ticked...and he knew he could replicate almost anything he saw before him...but usually froze in times of conflict...or even just being around people...
He'd learned some things from his fellow patients. What about...putting those talents to work?

Slowly she took a step forwards. If it was a dream...well then she hoped she was warm in reality. But for the moment, she was going to say it wasn't, that the fact that she had frozen her dumb a** was real, and that that stool was interesting. It WAS the only thing in the room afterall. Well, at least she figured it was since all she saw was white. "This is stupid! Where is everything?!" She called, as she stood beside the stool. Not that anyone would hear her, it was a big empty thing, right? "Ugh!" she kicked the stool. "Stupid!"
