No, the picture for Luc's ending is supposed to be like that. It shows that Luc and Sarah are dead.
And no, you can't upload data from III into IV: IV takes place 168 years BEFORE S3.

As much as I dislike Suikoden 3, Luc's part is one of the good things about it. It's fun being the overpowered characters for once. And a couple parts of the story were cool (like when he gets accepted as a bishop and his explanation about why he's doing what he's doing)
3 Best things about Suikoden 3: -The intro (great animation great song) -Chris (Just wish she was a better magician) -Luc's Story
3 Worst things about Suikoden 3: -General Gameplay (fudged up war system, and felt like a chore playing) -Luc/Yuber/Silverbergs (What have they done to you crying ) -Lack of oldies

Why does everyone hate Luc in Suikoden III? Does adding depth to an otherwise bland and stereotypical "Oh, I hate my job because it's boring now what do you want" character suck so badly?

Because they can. They probably didn't like the fact that he could never bring himself to dismount his emo pony.

Actually I thought he was most emo in 3, but maybe that's just me. sweatdrop Besides, he was only like that in 2. In the original I liked his trickster persona that slightly resembled Puck.
What I DIDN'T like about him in 3 was his foolishness. Even in 2 with his so-called emo pony he at least seemed on top of things. In 3 he thinks that destroying ths true wind rune will somehow free people from their fate... First of all, since when does he care? In three itself he projects the image of someone that places little value on human life or the conditions in it. (making him self contradictory) Secondly, there are 27 true runes. What makes him think destroying 1 will do anything? For all he knows destroying his true rune will simply jumpstart the process. Thirdly, he's been around Leknaat for how long now? You think he would have figured out in all that time (considering Leknaat keeps SAYING it) that fate is changeable already without trying to do something catastrophically stupid. Other than that I really didn't like that he was able to best Leknaat so easily. BS I say. Complete true rune or not Leknaat is much older and wiser, and pwns Luc as far as I'm conscerned xd
PS: When I said oldies, I meant old suikoden characters. sweatdrop As in the one's from older games.

I agree with the Luc thing. I think what he did in 3 was actually not like him at all. In the first 2 games he didn't seem like someone who would do something that... stupid. He seemed more of the "I'll just suffer by myself and not let anyone love me" type rather then the "lulz I hate myself and the world now let's go blow s**t up" type.
And Luc could not pwn Lekkies. Unpossible.

So, if Geddoe's homeland was destroyed by Harmonia, and he ended up fighting against Harmonia in the First and Second Fire Bringer Wars, why is he the captain of a Harmonian Defense force? Wtf?

Wasn't Luc trying to kill himself originally because he wouldn't be able to die with the True Rune? And besides, like you said, Leknaat keeps saying that fate is changable, he was trying to change his and maybe she was letting him.

Geddoe ended up helping Harmonia by stopping Luc, and he may have some sort of wierd agenda by joining the forces... We won't know till there's a sequel that takes place after 3. Quote: Wasn't Luc trying to kill himself originally because he wouldn't be able to die with the True Rune? And besides, like you said, Leknaat keeps saying that fate is changable, he was trying to change his and maybe she was letting him. As I remember it, he only assumed he was gonna die since the True Rune was attached to him while he destroyed it (attached to his soul non-the-less), but suicide wasn't his objective. Either way I think if Leknaat were letting him, she wouldn't have pretended to try to stop him, or at least would have admitted it when he came to her as the ball of light. He was trying to change fate, just in the most a** way possible (IMO).

Hugo's story is by far my favorite. The crossing plots make this game fun for hours on end.

Geddoe's story sucked for one reason. That ******** mountain path. I hate that goddamn place. I avoid it as much as I possibly can.

I don't know, I thought it was a great place to level up people who were really weak.
