"What do you want with him? He's got company right now...so maybe I can help you if you need something." Shikamaru looked her over again. She was a cute girl but when it came to Kiba, he was a bit protective.

"Hinata-chan happens to be his visitor." Shikamaru said and scowled. "Is everyone at your old village idiots or something? First you, then Kiba, now the girl and that other boy that's around here somewhere. I don't mind when my food comes to me, though this time it was a friend of his so..." he shook his head and sighed.

Shino watched the Yukiee girl leave without much interest. "Come. Let's get moving. I should get you to Zabuza as soon as possible." And with that, Shino zipped into the trees once again. After a few minutes, a rabbit ran across his path. In one second, Shino had caught it and broke it's neck. He didn't waste anytime finishing his meal, but he was very careful to not seem overly vicious.

"We're not foolish, when you are kids people dare each other come here. People dont let down dares" Yukiee said glaring at Shikimaru. No one insulted her friends. "My i come in to say hi to Kiba and Hinata-chan please?" she asked as nicely as she could.

Hinata frowned. "I don't like that idea. It makes me mad that you're being controlled by...He doesn't seem to care about you, Kiba-kun. He just seems to like you around to have fun with. And I know i sholdn't be saying this but Shikamaru-san seems like a real jeark to you and to everyone else." Her face flushed again and she turned away. "I'm sorry Kiba-kun. I-I shouldn't have said that."

"No, you may not come into my house because I don't particularly trust you, and I don't want other vampires seeing my resting place." Shikamaru said, but then gave a small sigh. "I'll go see if he wants to come out and say hello to you though. Wait here." Shikamaru then turned, unlocked his door, and descended down the stairs into the darkness. He stopped just outside the living room when he heard Kiba and Hinata talking about him.
Kiba lowered his gaze. "He's not always like that, Hinata. He's different around me when no one else is around. He cares about me, I know he does, he's just afraid of losing me. In this place if you grow attached to it, your chance of losing it increases."

Hinata frowned and turned to look at kiba again. "How am I going to take you away from him Kiba. I know how much you care for him and...I know you can't go back no matter how much Akamaru-kun and I want you to. I don't want you to get hurt. That and I'm a lousy ninja. But I'm not a lousy person and Shikamaru-san...he hasn't been around much of anything but forest to give him any kind of skills in being with people. You have. That's why you two are different. And from what you said if he gets mad he might hurt you. I don't want that to happen to you." She hugged her, hding her face from him as a bright crimson color fell across her face and tears welled up in her eyes.

Kiba didn't know how to answer that because it was true. He just sighed and wrapped his arms around her. Shikamaru acts the way he does because he's been alone. I'd probably be the same way under the same circumstances.
Shikamaru stepped into the light and walked a little closer to them. "Kiba, I need to talk with you. Girl, there's someone you probably know waiting outside. Why don't you go talk to her and Kiba will be out in a moment."

Yukiee sighed as she waited for the famous lazy Vampire to telll Kiba and Hinata-chan she was here. She was curious how Shikimaru's resting place looked like but deicded aganst it. He would be very mad at her.

Hinata looked up at Shikamaru, frowning but pulled away from Kiba. She gave his hand a squeeze before walking past Shikamaru. "I'll see you i-in a few minutes, Kiba-kun." She said before making her way up the stairs. She blinked when she saw the girl in front of her. "Yukiee-san?"

When Hinata was gone, Shikamaru grabbed Kiba by the front of his shirt and pulled him closer. "I don't want you getting that close to the human again. She's just food, Kiba, and can't be anything more. I don't care what was between the two of you before you came here, but it's over and you're not getting it back."
Kiba growled and shoved Shikamaru away. "Who the hell are you to decide what happens with my life? Just because you're my sire it doesn't mean that you own me!"
Shikamaru pulled him back, then bit his neck, hard. He didn't drink though, just kept his mouth clamped down to show the other that he was the stronger.
"S-stop!" Kiba whimpered and tried to pull away but Shikamaru was far stronger than him. A moment later Shikamaru released him and he sunk to the floor.
"Have I not given you a good life, Kiba? Why do you wish to leave, to go back to them? The ones that hurt you?!" Shikamaru then turned and went into his bedroom, slamming the door behind him.
Kiba held his wound, feeling the blood trickling between his fingers. He sat there for a few minuets until the wound had healed itself. He wiped the blood off with the bottom of his shirt, then got to his feet. He stared at Shikamarus door for a moment, then went outside. "Oh, hi Yukiee. What brings you into Shikamarus territory?"

Hinata looked over at Kiba and frowned. Something was wrong but what? She reached over and took his hand to give it a squeeze, trying to tell him that she was there for him.

Kiba didn't return the squeeze or even look at her, but he didn't let go of her hand. His eyes were unfocused as he stared off into the woods, thinking about what he was going to do.

Yukiee watched Kiba and Hinata carefully. "Hello Hinata-chan, Kiba" she said nicely as she smiled wanly. "i was wondering why you were here in the forest" she said. She looked at Kiba's neck and noticed that Kiba was bleeding slightly, but she did not mention or notice anything. "Hinata-chan did anyoneelse come in here on a dare?"
