She squeaked with surprise when he yanked her back to him. The expression on her face was neutral for a moment before looking completely annoyed with him. "A simple request to return or request for more detail regarding how I am would have sufficed." she said sounding rather coldly to him. Shaking her head a bit, she realized he did something else, which irritated her, especially with what she would be saying next. "What is not wrong? That which is wrong with Zero may affect us all, just the same as with Reeve or Vice .. Anger and Chaos can be tamed or channeled but when it is not .." she looked at him with a pleading, hurt look. "There is not much I can do to help them, even less that they might want me to help with .. it goes without saying that I would not be a match for hardly anyone when it comes to fighting."

I'm not refering to Zero or anything involving him, you mentioned earlier that you were worse today then other days. That is what I mean with what is wrong.* Ali placed her down on the ground afterwards and withdrew both his tentacles and the Anti-magic barrier, starring at her and waiting for an answer. He also began to wonder if she was giving up with her training as well, if she had been training that is.*

"Vice wishes to experiment on Reeve. The other Reeve, who I had called young Reeve is named Zero also. When I last met him, he said he knew Reeve would come to me, in a way that would imply that he would follow me in order to get to Reeve, as he made it clear he was attempting to catch Reeve to take him to Vice the other night. And now this with Mr Zero .. I do not know what to make of this all, it has upset me." she said softly, looking a bit grumpy now. But she did not show him that she was angry, she did not wish to be upset with him. "Is this the answer that you seek?"

Now I'm disappointed.* Ali frowned somewhat after she was done talking, knowing what was wrong. Silly girl.*Why didn't you come to me?, I'd gladly help both of you.

"It was only a day ago, I barely had a chance to speak with Reeve. When I did .." she stopped, struggling with herself on how to describe this, but did not want to upset him or to admit truly how bothered she was. "Reeve was not himself either. From a previous discussion with Vice, it appears that when Vice took his soul, Reeve took something from Vice when his soul was returned. What this is, not even Vice knows .. a part of him it seems. So you see .. even with telling you this, there are forces at play that are not even explained by those who are familiar with the means of which they use, how might we know these things if they do not?"

You're hiding something but fine, Deal with it yourself then.* Ali starred at her for a few more moments before he simply shook his head a bit and began to walk, there was no need to push the matter any further. However he did stop though after a few steps.* I'll assume you'll skip the third task then as well as you are having troubles in your life and the matter can't wait, We'll go there without you then.

"I am sad, alright? I am sick with worry over things I cannot control. I am not like you, I cannot simply brush these thoughts, these feelings away." she said hotly, blushing slightly with embarassment. She shook her head to his second statement. "For whatever good I might be, of course I will go. My troubles matter not."

Nor do I* Ali turned half ways around and watched her, well at least she was not as polite and withdrawn as she used to be before. It brought a slight smile on Ali's face.* We leave tomorrow night, Pack water cause we'll have to walk for two days through the burning desert from the landing site. And dress lightly, if you get a heatstroke then we'll leave you on the spot until we walk back after the mission completion.

Holding out her hand, a canteen appeared in her hand, which she then sloshed around a bit to show it was full of a liquid. The expression on her face, again showed she was a bit annoyed, a bit of a smart a** for the moment. The canteen was gone again a moment later. "See you tomorrow." she said, and with a small pop, she was gone.

A slithering pool of black liquid came up to the shore of the lake. The liquid did not however, take on a solidified form. It was clear to those who had seen it before what or rather...who it was. The liquid slid into the water and within seconds spread across the lake making the lake look like more of an oil pool than actual lake. When Yawgmoth bathed or rather took something for himself he was usually greedy like this and took the entire thing. Surprise awaited anyone who dared to come play by the lakeside today.

Ayla enjoyed the feel of grass against her bare feet, which is why she had decided to leave her boots back at the cabin, along with her bow and quiver. Humming to herself, she carefully made her way down the hill from the cabin, towards the lake. She went there almost every day, finding solace in simply enjoying the view from the shore.
The trees around her rustled in the wind, as they seemed to every time she passed them by. Perhaps it was a warning; nature's way of letting her know that danger approached. Whatever it was, she didn't pay much attention to it and stopped short of the lake itself.
Something was different today. A black veil-like substance covered the usually clear surface. The Psion frowned in thought and willed herself closer.

Nearest where Ayla moved closer to the lake part of the black substance that coated and intermixed with the water it began to bubble. Slowly rising from the water was the liquid form of a man. The figure took a more defined shape and formed a liquid version of Yawgmoth, down to every detail. Of course some details were left free from his face, no red eyes or skin or hair color but it was otherwise a perfect black liquid copy of the tyrant. Through the liquid a voice came, Yawgmoth's obviously but talking through the liquid gave it a very odd sound when it came to one's hear. Like hearing someone talk under water only a lot more clear. "Of all the people who would interrupt our relaxing at the lake, you were the last one we expected little girl."

Ayla grit her teeth. Of course. Of all the people in the entire syndicate, it just had to be him. "Relaxing? You're polluting the water with your presence alone," she retorted sardonically, taking a step away from the water. She didn't want to put herself in a vulnerable position, especially not when she was unarmed, and so, distancing herself from him seemed like a good idea.
The Psion raked a hand through her hair and sighed. Someone up there must really not like me... Either that, or they really enjoyed watching her squirm.

The liquid figure gave a hearty laugh which came out distorted and odd sounding through the liquid mouth it held. "You still haven't lost your bite in words little girl. We find you so amusing. We are simply going for a swim. The blackness, it is us. All of it is us. Polluting is hardly the right word to describe what is happening. If anything we have enhanced the lake waters with our presence. This would be the second time we have done such a thing." Yawgmoth replied. He was still on his high from what Crow and himself had done and her insults didn't pack as much of a punch or rather, they didn't have a chip on his shoulder to knock off this time around.

The Psion grimaced as she stared at the blackened water. "Right." She reached up and grasped the string on her left sleeve, then began twirling it absently around her finger. He wasn't as much fun to insult when he was so... sickeningly happy. Then again, she absolutely loved getting a rise out of people, so that was probably the reason why she found him so boring lately.
Ayla shivered slightly as the cold air bit at the exposed parts of her skin. Returning to the warm, open fire back at the cabin seemed like such a welcoming thought, and she most definitely would have turned on her heels and left if it wasn't for the fact that she didn't trust him. Who knew what he could do to her if she only turned her back on him.
