As Spinarak slept quietly on his head and Larvitar trotted along side him, Crenu couldn't help bug think back on his last gym battle. The image of Falkner's bird pokemon beating his with what in his mind was relative ease. He may have won the badge and gone home with a victory, but he knew that he only won because Falkner called back his pokemon and called it quites. In a way, Crenu felt as though Falkner had felt pity for the rookie trainer and gave him the win to get him out of his hair. I certainly didn't feel like a real win, and Crenu wasn't going to let his next battle end the same. He was either going to win it or lose it with a definite answer. "I've been weak up until now, but I won't let that be any longer. I'm going to render all of Bugsy's pokemon unable to battle or have the same happen to both of mine in the process, no one is going to throw in the towel this time... I WILL BE THE STRONGEST, ONLY POWER MATTERS NOW!" Clenching his fists Crenu shouted up into the air with anger and rage. Larvitar walked by him and watched with a worried expression on his face. Spinarak awoke with fear and jumped off on his head onto Larvitar. The two pokemon looked on with fear and concern for their master. But despite any changes that were happening withing, they both decided that they would stick with him until the end.

I am really getting sick of that attack, Keegan thought as the electricity coursed over Loki's long body. The Arbok growled, snapping his jaws angrily. The fact that he'd frightened both Wattson and his Manectric delighted him, and he would happily give them something else to be frightened of.

"Blast it with your Sludge Bomb," Keegan told him, pushing his hair out of his face once more. As long as Manectric couldn't move, he might as well attack. Loki hissed, moving to the left while keeping his eyes fixed on the electric Pokemon. He reared back, swaying dangerously before he released a large glob of toxic sludge. Every time he saw the move in action, Keegan was incredibly thankful to Erika for inspiring him to teach Loki the powerful attack.

The second fisherman nodded in approval at the sight of the Vaporeon. "Beautiful," he remarked, quite impressed. The Feraligatr didn't seem to quite agree, his agression showing as he raked his claws through the air and glared at the smaller Vaporeon.

"Isn't she though?" Kasiya replied proudly, hands on her hips. I wonder if that Feraligatr is at a high enough level to know slash? she pondered to herself, and decided to let the large gator-like Pokemon have the first move. At the fisherman's command, Feraligatr charged forward; it was rather spry for such a large Pokemon. Its clawed feet left large marks in the wood as it ran, lashing out at Ariel with a Scratch attack.

Guess not, Kasiya smiled, upon hearing the command. "Sand-Attack!" she told the Vaporeon, who crouched low, and swept her long tail along the wooden planks, sending up a cloud of dust and grit. The charging Pokemon got blasted right in the face by the 'attack', and shut its eyes, growling at the stinging pain it felt. He then started swinging his arms wildly, trying to connect with the sleek water Pokemon. Ariel ducked nimbly away from the sharp claws, maneuvering herself so she was now positioned behind the large Feraligatr.

"Your pony may be faster then my Gyarados but one hit from his Hydropump will be enough to take care of this battle even with the Sunny Day in effect." The challanger said with a smirk on his face. "Gyarados keep that Ponyta on the run with Hydro Pump!" The Gyarados roared and began shooting more blasts at Apollo who barely managed to miss this one. Everytime the powerful jet of water hit the ground it left a big hole in it.

'Damn Apollo may be fast but he can't dodge all of them.' Dante thought. Apollo seemed to be thinking the same thing and decided to do a move his trainer had never seen before, Agility. Before the Gyarados could powerup his beam again the pony glowed slightly before it disappeared in a flash of black and white flames. The next thing both trainers knew was that Apollo was standing on top of the large water dragons head. "Agility? Wow I thought that Ponyta only learned that when they are close to evolving." Dante muttered to himself as he looked up to where the Ponyta was standing prowdly on top of the Gyarados's head. "All right Apollo give it your best Stomp attack!" Dante ordered hoping to knock the Gyrados out just like Bahamut had been. Thinking the same Apollo reared up and slamed both diamond hard hooves down on top of the Gyarados's head before jumping off.

Upon feeling the hard hit to the back of its head the Gyarados roared in pain. However they weren't that lucky the Gyarados wasn't knocked out. It did look a bit dizzy though from the hit.

Perhaps a little change in tactics was in order. It almost seemed like the other fisherman's Feraligatr didn't even notice him. "Brick Break that absolutely gorgeous creature over there." Mike commanded, quite infatuated with the Water Pokemon. Maybe, just maybe some were cool enough. Look at its teeth, and claws, and spikes! He for once, didn't go into a schoolgirlish rant and squeak, but decided to maintain his composure.

Xanthos smashed his claws together, stomping towards the Big Jaw Pokemon rather loudly.

"Snipe, intercept that crab, Fury Swipes!" The fisherman ordered, the Golduck taking off instantly. In no time at all he was on top of the Crawduant, slashing his four times, doing minimal to no damage. The Dark Pokemon shrugged it off, bringing his claw down on the gater.

Jaeshan left the Pokemon Center not long after, the young Torchic still trotting along at his side. Still feeling fresh and excited after his battle with Lt. Surge, Jaeshan was eager to start training again. He wanted Torchic to be able to help him when it came time to take on Erika. He headed east, passed Diglett's Cave. He glanced at it for a moment, remembering what he, Ryka and Kasiya had discovered there not too long ago. That mural, he thought, pausing to poke his head into the entrance of the cavern. Even through the little light, he could see that planks of wood barricaded cut off access to the rest of the cave. He could also see the floor had collapsed, and he wondered what could have been the cause of it. This seems a little suspicious, he thought, scratching his chin.

"What do you think you're doing here?" a voice screeched at him, causing the boy to startle. "Diglett's Cave is closed to trespassers!"

Jaeshan whirled around, and spotted an elderly woman glaring up at him, her hair pulled into a steely-grey bun atop her head. Her wrinkled face was twisted into an expression of anger, and she had dark circles under her brown eyes.

"I-I wasn't doing anything, I was just looking," the boy stammered over Torchic's loud chirping. The young Pokemon was hopping up and down and glaring daggers at the woman who scolded her trainer.

"Rubbish!" she hollered, and stomped her foot. "You young people think you can do whatever you want with no concern for the consequences! Well you've got another thing coming, you uppity little urchin!"

Uppity little urchin? Jaeshan repeated to himself. This woman was out of her mind. "Listen, Ma'am," he started, holding his hands up defensively. "I think you misunderstand me."

"No, you misunderstand me!" she hollered. "I'll have no more of your tomfoolery! Prepare yourself!" She flung a Pokeball at her feet, revealing none other than a apprehensive-looking Sandshrew.

Did she really just say tomfoolery? Jaeshan blinked, stepping back. He sighed, giving the nod to Torchic. "If you absolutely must insist..."

The Feraligatr grunted, turning its sights on the Crawdaunt. "Give it a little taste of good old-fashioned retribution!" the Fisherman said, pointing at Xanthos. "Counter with a Brick Break of your own!" The rather quick Feraligatr opened its large jaws wide and roared as it delivered two powerful punches with its fists, both directed at the same spot.

"Tackle Feraligatr while it's preoccupied!" Kasiya shouted to Ariel, who dashed in and bashed into the larger Pokemon from behind, doing significant damage. She quickly rebounded, watching the three Pokemon getting up-close and personal with each other, not really wanting to get into that mess.

Wattson gasped and nearly gagged. "Smells worse than me mum's haggis..." he groaned. Manectric howled in agony as the sludge pelted his body. Unable to move, the dog could do nothing about the damage he was taking. Suddenly, his feet sprang together for a moment before he regained his balance. Manectric could finally move again, so he hopped back a few feet. Then a sickness came over him. He wavered for a moment, dark marks appearing under his eyes.

"Oh, Mother of the Scotts..." Wattson moaned, stroking his beard, "Can't tell ya how dreadful a Poison condition is. Me mother used to threaten' me with it. 'Twas horrible."

"Mane...Manect..." the Pokemon huffed.

"Well, if it ain't broke, don't break it then try to fix it," Wattson sighed, "Muster up a Quick Attack!" he called.

Well, Nina thought, I can't just go waltzing into a Rocket-controlled building in such bright colors... Time to do a bit of shopping. Nina made her way southward towards the colossally-sized shopping center, and went inside. She casually walked toward the elevator, and pressed the Up button. The girl crossed her arms and looked around, waiting to hear the soft ding that would signal the elevator's arrival. The ding came after about ten seconds, and the doors opened, giving Nina room to walk inside it. She pressed the button marked 5, and watched the doors close. The elevator hummed as it rose, and the doors eventually yieled, and the girl walked out.

Nina sighed a little bit, and looked around at the clothes that were on display-- human merchandise was kept seperate from the Pokemon merchandise. She browsed through the shirts on the rack, passing everything from plaid button-ups to striped long-sleeves. Near the end of the rack, she found a black shirt with white and gray ruffles near the neck. "Hmm, very cool," she said, picking up the shirt and throwing it over her shoulder with a grin. With the shirt was a pair of gray, fluffy gloves; she picked them up as well. Nina walked over toward the pants section, and browsed around there for a short while. Eventually, she decided on a black skirt that seemed to match the shirt and gloves she picked up. She made her way into the dressing room to try her clothes on-- they fit perfectly.

She flipped her hair, and walked past the cashier, toward the elevator.
"Uhm, excuse me, Miss" the cashier said, looking over toward Nina, "but, you need to pay for those, you know." The psychic tilted her head a little bit as she looked at the man speaking to her. "But sir... what are you talking about?" she asked, seeming genuinely confused. "I've already paid for these... You asked me if I wanted my bag or receipt, and I declined. Don't you remember?..." The girl grinned darkly.

"Oh... err..." the cashier shut his eyes tightly, and held his head in one hand. "I-I'm sorry, you're right. Please, go on ahead. I'm sorry for inconveniencing you." Nina's grin shifted into a sweet smile. "It is no trouble at all." She turned and walked into the elevator as it arrived, and pressed 1. She ran her fingers across her stolen merchandise.

With Surf now taught to his Lombre, Kilik slipped the HM back into his backpack's pocket. He stared at the Gym's door and nodded. "Shouldn't be too hard. He's a Ghost-type leader," he told himself, "And if Sudowoodo and Lombre happen to fail...I've always got my three big guns." Lombre yawned and his bill snapped shut, tightly. He was sleepy, that was for sure, but if Kilik needed him, then so be it. The frog, for the first time since his capture, hopped up on to Kilik's shoulder. The boy looked at him strangely then nodded. For once, Lombre seemed like part of his 'family'.

Taking a deep breath, he wrapped his fingers around the handle of the door and stepped inside. Suddenly, he was overcome with a sinking feeling. It was eerie inside. Very eerie. Empty, too. The Gym Leader was, no doubt, inside. Kilik could see him at the other end of wide black path. The boy took steps forward and suddenly felt his head spinning.

He arrived back at the front door. "Wait, what?" he looked around, "What just happened?" He took more steps forward, and the same thing occured. Suddenly, it hit him. There were precise places on the pad that he could walk. Otherwise, he would warp back here. The image of Nina's Gym appeared in his mind and how he used the Pokeball to guide his way. Granted, it wouldn't work this time, but a similar idea came to mind. He moved forward, onto a spot he knew he could stand. Kilik crouched, then placed his hand on the place he was also teleported from. It was...squishy. Bouncy almost, as if it were made of foam. Yet, the place he stood, was hard. Carefully, he walked on his knees, placing his hands on the ground once in a while to make sure he was still on a hard surface.

The double fisted barrage slammed Xanthos right in his weak spot, causing the Dark Pokemon to falter and land on the ground with a crack. Snipe took the opportunity to rake Xanthos with a Scratch attack, causing the crab more pain. "Xanthos is not looking too good right now..." Mike pondered for a moment, deciding targets for his Pokemon's next assault. "Xanthos, hang in there, take out that Feraligatr with Aerial Ace!"

Visibly weakened by the hard hitting Brick Break, Xanthos sliced his pincers through the air, sending a wave of wind cutting energy at the alligator.

The next day Eraku left his home. He went walked a trail he had followed many times. This path lead to the mysterious Manison on the island. He planned to go there first and see if he could catch at least one more Pokemon before he left the island. As he walked into a clearing he noticed he was infront of a large broken down wall and past that loomed the infamous mansion.

"Hey where do you think your going?" a voice came from behind. On top of the wall a young kid stood staring at him.

"I'm going to the mansion whats it to you?" Eraku responded.

"There are alotta Pokemon in there and if you think you stand a chance in there you gotta get past me. One on one battle how about it?" The boy challenged him.

"Hmm could be interesting lets go then Hurricane!"

"Alright then a battle it is." the boy responded "Lets go Creeper!" And out came the boys Tentacool.

"Poison can be detrimental," Keegan answered as he cracked the knuckles on his hands almost compulsively. The man was a bit quirky but Keegan couldn't help but like him - he was just one of those people. He looked up at the now-poisoned Manectric admirably. If that's what Themis is going to evolve into, then bring it on, he thought. It's tenacious, fast and powerful.

"Listen up Loki! It moves like Themis does," he called out. "Pretend that he's Themis!"

Loki turned back to face the Manectric as it came towards him, and he saw it too. This was what his friend would become someday. He lowered his body, and took careful aim at the charging Manectric, opening his mouth and firing a volley of poisoned barbs before being struck by the Quick Attack. Keegan worried for a moment that Loki could become paralyzed if Wattson's Manectric had Static for its ability, but the cobra showed no signs of it for now. "Get 'em, Loki," the redhead muttered to himself.

Bugsy cast his gaze down, not even looking at Scyther as the Confusion attack did him in. "Return." He said glumly, lifting up his Pokeball and recalling the Mantis Pokemon. "Congratulations, I've been defeated." The young boy bowed gracefully, not wanting to show a sour face for the victorious party. "Just one moment and I will get your prizes." With that, he deposited his three Pokeballs in the healing station by his Gym chair. He opened the badge and prize container, retrieving $4000, TM19 and his own Hive Badge. "Here." He spoke softly as he handed Miharu her winnings. "Good luck and may we battle again one day."

Miharu sighed and hung her head, a small smile on her face. I think I overdid it, she thought, biting her lip. "Thank you, Bugsy. Someday I would like to have another battle. You have a lot of talent for one so young." It seemed a bit odd coming from a girl who didn't stand any taller than he did. She accepted her winnings, hoping someday that they could have a magnificent match where there was nothing at stake except a memorable battle.

Tingle hadn't seemed to notice the battle was over, or even remembered that it had just been participating in one. The strange Metang was rotating slowly, once again imitating the time. Anyone who was paying careful attention would note that it was actually the correct time. "Come on, Tingle, let's go," the small girl said, giving Bugsy a small wave and a smile. "Good luck to you as well.

She motioned for Tingle to follow, which he finally did, giving a metallic salute to the young gym leader before he followed his small trainer outside. The duo made their way to the Pokemon Center where Miharu gave the nurse Aska and Lily's Poke Balls. She climbed back up into the windowsill and looked outside, just waiting quietly.
