Remmy rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands and then rubbed his temple slightly. "He was, well, old enough to have his own kids when I was born. I was just a nuisance to him and he was just the big brother who's expectations I had to live up to." Goddesses can only be so perfect. he thought.

Remmy tried to think. "Not really, maybe a few. They were mostly girls though." he said, being very honest about that.

Why is that? ::has effectivly turned the conversation back on him. She feels she doesn't really have much to say about her own life- that she's fairly boring::

Remmy shrugged. "I never had time to do the things other boys wanted to do I guess, I was too busy trying to prove to my parents that I was ten times better than my brother. I dunno why the girls liked me as their friend though." he said, shrugging.

Remmy sighed and rubbed his eyes again. "Everything, he was good at everything. He also happened to be the first child which always manages to set a standard for the younger children."

::thinks about this for a few moments:: Everyone has their flaws. He's probally just better at hiding them than other people.

Remmy laughed humorlessly. "He has plenty of flaws. He's mean, selfish, violent, manipulating, conniving, but he's so good at all of them along with his better points. I wasn't violent and I let people say what they would, so I was a wimp and he would beat up the first person that said he had mud on his shoes so he was strong." he said, making it sound only as ironic as it was.

"Well, for one thing, we're boys, being a wimp isn't accepted. They didn't want me to be a push over, everyone I knew was like that. It's just the way it's always been." he said, shrugging.

well... i never really dealt with them, but from what you said, there's a difference between being assertive and being a bully. . . your brother sounds like a bully.

Remmy shook his head and sighed. "He wasn't technically a bully because he didn't really pick on people. He just had a very bad temper and was very violent. I know there were several occasions where he almsot raised a hand to my father and he beat the crud out of me when I told him I hated him and everything he'd ever done. It was just weird when even my teachers held standards for me because of my brother." he said, sighing and drumming his fingers on the table in a way that sort of looked like he was playing the piano.

my parents always taught me it was a major weakness to lose your temper. ::deciding to change the subject:: what got you playing the piano?

Remmy smiled. "I walked into a room one day and there was a piano. I sat down and ran my fingers over it, letting them move mostly on their own. I just pressed down a few times and I ended up trying to play something. After that, I loved it. An added bonus was that my brother could never play an instrument, he broke any musical thing he ever touched. He wasn't patient enought to play." he said, hating that he kept bringing the conversationg back to his brother.
