"There's one on the Durandel. Let's go there." Jr. said. He held Alka's hand and let her lean on him as he took her to the park. Once again, the people that they passed by gave them strange looks. They took the monorail and stopped at the park. They entered and Jr. let her sit down on a bench. "Is this better?" Jr. asked her worried.

Alka closes her eyes and leans back weakly, taking a breath of air. It's... like being outside... I haven't been outside... for so long... I hardly remember it. She smiles, and takes another deep breath, which ends up with her coughing again. She forces herself to relax. I would sure like... to feel warm sunlight... Can we go down to the planet later? Not now... I... need to rest for a bit.

"We're heading toward the Foundation. It's not a planet, but it has a beach with optional weather. The sunlight it emits feels real. I'll take you there when we arrive."

Alka smiles contently, even though it's very obvious that she isn't feeling all that well. Jr...? She turns to look at him, her eyes slighty unfocused. ... I feel... like I'm floating. It's a strange feeling... but I find that, I don't mind... I'm with you.... and I feel happy. She coughs again, and lays down on the bench, curling up.

"We really need to get some medicine for that cough." Jr. observed. A message suddenly was broadcasted over the loudspeakers. "The Durandel has arrived at the Foundation. We will be going into port shortly." "You have to see this!" Jr. said as he pointed up at the nearby TVs set up. On the TV (or UMN feed or whatever it is) , it showed the Durandel docking. Like a growing skyscraper, the Durandel burst up through the water and reached up toward the sky on the TV.

AAlka gasps, and makes an excited sound. Oh, it's so pretty! So that's the Foundation? It's so big! She giggles childishly, and throws her arms around her brother, resting her head on his shoulder, her shoulders sagging. She's very happy, just weary.

Jr. put one arm around Alka and sat the other on his lap. He was happy to see that she was enjoying herself.

I... feel so tired. Am I too excited? Alka asks, relaxing into her brother's body. I don't feel so great... but I feel happy, so I don't mind it so much. Besides... I'm used to it. I always was sickly. That's... one of the reasons Daddy hated me, I think. He didn't like that I was so sickly. She coughs again, then sits up a bit, still hugging Jr. Is... is this my new home, Ru - Jr.?

"Yeah. I guess this would be your new home." Jr. said, "I'm the captain of the ship, so I'm usually on it. Gaignun deals with the paperwork and the political matters, but he usually comes back here once he's done with all that. So at least one of us will be around to spend time with you if you live on the ship."

I'm so glad... I don't ever wanna be alone again... I woke up alone, and it was so cold and dark... She sniffs a bit, remembering what it was like awakening from cold sleep. I was scared... and I was alone for so long... She looks up again at the screen, which shows the Durandel. So pretty.... What's the Foundation like...? Alka sounds rather tired now, laying against her brother.

Alka doesn't respond. It looks like she's fallen asllep. She doesn't look healthy at all, with pale clammy skin and and a fevered forehead. She sucks on her thumb in her sleep.

Jr. looked down at her and smiled. He slowly got up and left her sleeping on the bench. Jr. sat on the edge of the central fountain and relaxed as he let Alka sleep.

Jr. started to feel sleepy, too. He lied down on a bench near the one Alka was on and decided to take a quick nap. He had done this before many times and was sure no one would mind.

Alka sleeps contently for a while, ending up stretched out all over the bench. It's a rather amusing sight to see, with almost falling off the bench. Her wild silver hair tumbles down her face, obscuring some of it. She whines slightly in her sleep, perhaps having a bad dream.
