She just couldn't stand to see her Pokemon in so much pain, it looked like her lungs were about to burst open at any moment. Clenching her fists, she reaaaally didn't want to give up, it just didn't feel right. "Sere...a-are you...ok?" Holding her breath inside, she asked the question that she feared would determine everything in her life.
Serenity was trying so hard to stay awake..it hurt so much, and she was not handling it very well. Hearing the soft voice of her trainer, with no urgency...no emotion but worry, she raised her head to stare at her blue eyes and wanted to just be alright, if only for her. Moving as best she could..she looked over at Razor, waiting to see what he might do.

*A darkness came over Sadie face as she had a feeling that this would drag on longer, she looked at Razor who had gotten to his feet. Red eyes flashing a little she looked back at Neko. The hood appeared over sadie'd head shadowing her face within its black abyss once more. A coldness krept out of the black folds as the hood looked toward the ground. The hood shot back up in a motion that seemed like it would have snapped her neck in good shape if not being careful.* "Seeings we are dragging this on. Razor, Muster all teh energy you can and use your Metal Claw." Sadie ordered, her voice was colder then it had been before, the light playfulness was gone, there was nothing left, but coldness and cruelty.
*Standing was painful, ever joint felt like it had been rusted tight. His eyes wavered a bit as he watched the Dragon he was sure would have been done by now. His sides hurt as blood seepde from them, Shaking his head Razor looked back upo his Mistress who suddenly changed, colder darker. It seemed to give him the strength he needed, or wel.. The encouragement anyways, Shaking off the pain that shrouded his mind like a blanket in the winter. Taking a deep breath he charged toward Sere, hoping that maybe, just maybe it would end this time. A claw pulled back, the glow of the metal claw flickered a little like a bulb unwilling to light before accepting the charge. Eyes set on striking home, Razor well hoped that everything would end here and now... For one of them...*

It was like everything had gone in slow motion; a thick muck had formed around her and clogged her senses in every pore, and every vein. Her heart had even slowed down to a slow drum, the sound echoing in her mind as the inevitable moment drew ever closer. Something seemed to dawn on her in those seconds, something important.
Thinking back she had always been lenient in her battle with trainers who came to her, only she never felt like it mattered, like it was just a game and whoever won it wouldn't really matter, but it did. She lost because she was afraid of what others might say and even those winnings that she did have left some kind of emptiness there. Neko had met Serenity so long ago, and for some unknown reason the Dragon wanted to come with her. Not that she minded, or even questioned the reason behind such a thing, but there it was.
Then there was Kane the Umbreon who was just as special and strong, who came to her and became a part of her. A link to some power, something she didn't ask for or think about...something she knew was there and yet didn't. Her own life had led something and behind her eyes she saw the moment that things had changed. The sneaking into a room, lit with candles and incense, one red Orb placed nicely on a centre piece flickering and shining and she'd wanted to touch it. For the life of her she didn't know where it had disappeared, gone as soon as her little fingers at poked at the pretty red stone.
Just as soon as these things came, they went and she was watching and waiting and seeing everything and time seemed to jump back into place like she'd pressed the Play button on the Recorder.
"Serenity...I don't ask much of you and you've given me everything I could ever hope to have, you got me here and further...please, just this time please fight back, use one last Slam!" The Dragon was still, like stone and a painting all at the same time and she wondered if this was ok, this question and faith and everything she had put into her own partner and friend. It was like she was on fire; she could see a red glow but didn't really understand it.
There Dragonair tried with her muscles, aching and throbbing and giving her a headache, but she herd the plea. Yes, this was it...and if she went down after this one last attempt she would be ok, it would all be alright because they had put everything they had into this battle. Lifting her weak and shaking tail, Serenity prayed to whatever had given her this strength in life, this blessing, and slammed it down with everything she had. One moment, one last shivering moment in time...This was the end.

"Try and dodge it if you can!" Sadie ordered even though she did know that it was a very little chance he could escape completely. *Sadie had rned her ehad away even it her hood remained facing the battle arena, her ears were still open and listening to the match. This was one of the hardest battles she had ever been in, Well Sure Poke was tough, but... That was just bad timing, this was different. She just wanted to prove her worth, in any means possible.*
*Razor had noticed how weak looking Sere was, he wasn't feeling his best either. He barely heard his Mistress shout and order. The only word he had heard was 'try' the rest was lost within the pounding of pain within his ears. Watching the dragon's tail, he leapt off to the side hoping to dodge, but fell short and the tail came crashing down upon his legs. Flinching he lay panting, body shaking, not willing to give up that last bit of energy, but it was spent, he was spent. What was left? Nothing...*

The blue and white Dragonair panted and her body shook and her eyes felt heavy and dirty if it was even possible. The tail lay there on him and she didn't move once, didn't feel like moving and the poison bared down on her and she was sick...horribly sick. Sick of him, sick of this bug and sick of being awake. It was the first time in a long while that she had felt anything but calm and now it was all she could do to feel that way.
Neko waited and cried down inside because this was not going anywhere, Serenity was out, Razor seemed out but with him she never knew, there was no more attacks, no more energy and it was like something felt drained and empty. "I...I don't know what to do anymore, there's nothing left to do.."

*Wiped out, finished, dead to the world of the waking, that was what Sadie was thinking as she looked out upon the arena floor toward Razor who was laying half under Sere. The both lookde wiped out, laughing a little more to herself then to anyone else she looked toward Neko.* "How fiting, it seems that we've ended this round in a tie. For light and dark have canceled themselves out the hard way." *It seems all too funny at this point to Sadie, but she soon stopped as she wondered if she should go and help Razor off the field, but wondered what Neko would do first.*
*Pain, blinding pain, Razor hadn't felt this pain since his past masters left him for dead upon the roads where his current Mistress had found him. He couldn't move, every bone felt shattered, every muscle like jello, his head was pounding from everything. But... He couldn't move, couldn't even raise his head off the ground, sleep, that's what he wanted... Sleep.*

Frowning to herself she felt that Sadie found this all too amusing, in a way it she was right though, it was fitting and seemed like Destiny had played its part once more. Pulling out her pokeball for Sere, she called her back in and smiled weakly. "I concur, a tie is all you can call this match. Only...you proved yourself, and showed smart thinking and courage. This wasn't such a win as it would be, but I feel you've earnt my Badge out of respect and if anything thats much better than a win!" Walking over to the Dark Trainer, she held out her hand that the Badge and TM was in.
Peace...she felt peace, Serenity was finally able to rest and things were ok, her trainer was proud of her she knew, could feel it. That was fine...sleep was all she needed now and thats what she would have. Oddly enough, her last thought was of a injured Razor, and a fleeting wonder if he was going to be ok.

*Sadie had walked out upon the arena and picked Razor's battered body off the ground. Having him lean against her she looked at Neko. She looekd at Razor again, holding him up with an arm she reached out and took the badge adn TM from Neko.* "I thank you for the complaments. It was a good match, Perhaps someday in the future we can have another match, not as Gym leader and challenger, but as..." *She hated this last work=d that was going to escape her lips.* "Perhaps friends?" *Puting the badge and TM into her pack she hoisted Razor up as he was Sagging and walked back toward where Sevti had been napping.* "I hope you don't mind us remaining another day, to rest and recover a little. I do hope your Dragon will be alright."

Smiling and feeling the tension lift from her body Neko was pleased that Sadie was ok with this, it was like she'd expected some cold glare or swish of a cloak, but this was much nicer and decided that she liked it too. "Of course, I would be honored to battle you again! And you may stay as long as you wish, think of the Shrine as your home whenever you require it!" Beaming at Sadie she found that her attitude towards Dark trainers had left her quite drained, and where as she had respect for Wizz he'd never been her friend.
Maybe things would change now, and humming to herself she led the other trainer into her home, and for the first time she was content to know this person.

*Zander walked up to the temple with Belu beside him again. Looking around he whistled at the two statues of the ninetails in all their stone magi sty. Zander then looked down at Belu with a great grin* You ready Buddy we haven't done this in a long time.* Belu Being much wiser than ever didn't said anything and nodded waving his massive tusks in the air* Alright lets proceed, and try to keep your feet clean* Zander said beginning to walk and chuckling. Belu Fallowed close behind Until they got to the front door and entered.*
*Walking in Zander noted the shiny wooded floors of the hall way and before he could take a step Belu had given a small grunt, motioning to the slippers with his trunk* Oh..*Zander sighed. Belu then checked his feet for any dirt and carefully stepped on the floor in front of Zander. After putting on the slippers both continued to meet the gym leader.*

Neko at this very moment was cleaning the leaves off the ground. As the trees gave way to Autumn, her life became full of clearing the pathways every single morning. Misty slept on her shoulder, obviously not pleased at the early rise. 'Yeah well, that makes two of us.' She thought, sighing.
A Butterfree flew by, blowing some leaves into the Pan and then fluttered there, happily. "Thanks Jade, that helps a lot!" Neko said, glad that her Pokemon liked to pitch in when they could. She was grateful to have them, and glad to know they were always willing to help.
Walking over to the bin, she dumped the rest inside and closed the lid. Then she glared at the Tree just beside her. Not even half had fallen and she would be doing this again tomorrow. "Hurry up and shed already, I don't want to do this any longer." She muttered under her breath.
Grabbing Misty from her shoulder she set the small Togetic down inside, taking off her shoes and then wandering further in to place her in the bed. If she was going to sleep, Neko was going to get the rest that needed doing, done. She'd only wake the little darling up anyway, so best to leave her there.
'Now time to find everyone and start their training, while I do the laundry. Then I'll join them for an hour.' She thought. Exorcise was important and a good hour of it with her friends might cheer her up.

*Zander opened the sliding door, the smell of autumn rushed through to his nose and he looked around the area. Stepping forward he walked to the center and Belu walked Behind him. It was so Odd. The ninetails would suggest that this gym was fire but then again ninetails are mystic creatures. Zander thought to himself.* Belu What do you Think...*Zander said looking down at the elephant pokemon, who seemed to be infatuated by the smells of the gym. Zander gave a small smile and realized that even though Belu had grown a lot he was still the same pokemon on the inside.* Now I wonder where that gym leader could be...*Zander said closing his eyes, crossing his arms, and tapping the ground with his foot because he was nervous.*

'Now let me see, who needs a good train today! I suppose some of my new Pokemon and the older ones can teach them a few things. Plus, we all need a good workout.' Making her way outside again, Neko pulled some balls out. They didn't stay inside often, preferring to run free. Still she had just recently healed all the Pokemon so right now relax was what they had been doing.
Besides it gave her a good amount of relaxation herself. As much as she loved the dear friends, some time on her own always helped. The ones who didn't battle were the ones left outside now and hadn't needed healing.
Coming out of her home, she noticed someone had made their way to the outside area and looked on as he poked around. Then he seemed to stop and stand there. 'Heh, guess I either have a visitor or a challenger. Well am about to find out which!'
Stepping out, Neko cleared her throat and smiled at him and his Donphan. "Hello, can I help you?" She asked.

*Zander turned around there stood the gym leader. He smiled, this was both out of happiness and nerves. he stood there for a second just blinking at her not knowing what to say, he hadn't done this in a while. Then suddenly the words came and he spoke as if he were a natural.* Hello there, I'm Zander *He said then chuckled because it seemed a little bit of a corny entrance* I'm here to challenge your gym..*he said in a softer voice, nerves then kicked back in with memories of past gym leader battles...hes done two, and received both the badges on account of worthy skills but he never officially won. that would change to day. but in the back of his mind he thought...can I do this?*

She watched him carefully and considered Zander with curiosity. No one had really come here nervous before now, they'd all brimmed with confidence and were either happy to be here or wanting to get it over with. Neko laughed to herself, wondering just how he made it to this point while looking like that. It was kind of cute.
"Ok well thats not a problem. Follow me and we can start right away!" She walked through the Garden and pointed out some things, obviously proud of them. She'd looked after her Gym the best way she could.
Standing in front of the Arena, Neko turned to Zander and smiled at him. "If you'll just stand over there and let out your first Pokemon, my computer should tell me the level and which one to use."
((Try and make them high, I don't have many low now...and the ones I do are level 9, 12, 17 I think. XD Just look at my stats in any case! ))
