I don't think they'll change it either. When you think about it, it wouldn't really make sense for them to change the theme song after having it for 6 years stare

I don't like "save me" that much as a song, never did but I really don't think they are changing it. They will probably change the clips and add/subtract some of the cast but that is about it. Still the same song.

I think it would be a little weird now if they changed the opening. I mean we have been seeing it for 6 years going on 7.... I mean I am so used to it know I know exactly when it is going to start. The song can get on my nerves sometime but heck... I donno I guess I'm just kinda used to it....

Yeah, it's weird. I think opening credits exist just to get you pumped for your favourite show -- it doesn't matter how lame last week's SV was, the minute we hit "Somebody saaaaaave me!" I'm like "Woo! Smallville! Best show ever!"
Superman Returns was the same. I was like "I don't even care if this is the lamest film ever made... check out these credits."
I guess you just associate the theme tune with all the good times you had with your show in the past, even if it's a crap song.

I highly doubt they will change the opening to SMALLVILLE. It was probably just some rumor.
