*Sierra was nestled drowzily on one of the lounges many leather couches. The cushions conforming nicely to the contours of her weary body. She had a catgirl tucked lovingly under each arm as she observed the vampiress enter the room and take up her usual seat on one of the corner couches. She had a book with her and had started reading it with seeming eagerness so she decided it best not to disturb her and possibly wake one of the sleeping kittens by doing so... but briefly after Ruby had entered Sierra's mind was jerked away from her complacent thoughts of how peaceful the two neko's were asleep and lost in the innocence of their dreams.
Something powerful had entered her lands, An ancient force, not as old as it could rival her years as an imortal... but old enough that it's pressence held the tremendous weight that an ancient mind and power possess. Her golden eyes glint sharply in the dark of the shadows, despite the lack of light. She stiffens a moment and thrusts out an inquiring line of power. Her guild lands were well shielded and she always knew the moment something or someone entered them. The land was so worked with her magic that they were like an extension of her own body and all she need do is think about a part of the estate and she could sense all the goings ons of that area. Withen a brief moment her power found what it sought and it brushed up against the newcomer. Sierra was almost startled as her power flared against the entity and she recognized the traveller with a great deal of shock.
She carefully slips her arms out from about the shoulder of the girls and eases silently to her feet, preparing to go and meet with her guest. She makes her way over to Ruby and asks that she not leave while she goes and gets someone she would like her to meet, and then quickly dissapears out into the torch-lit hallway*

*Ruby looks at Sierra as she approaches her, and nods after she speaks. Eli's curious nature was beginning to rub off on her, and even if Sierra hadn't asked her to stay, she would have anyway, if just to see who the owner of this darkly interesting mind could be.*

*Sierra returned a few moments later and held the door open for a hooded figure that was following closely at her heels. She ushered the cloaked being over to Ruby and oddly enough didn't say very much at all that could help identify the guest to the obviously curious Vampiress. She spokes hastily before a hurried departure...*
"Ruby-chan, this is very 'old' friend of mine that I would like you to meet... I'll let her introduce herself to you though, I must be off to attend to other matters. I bid you a pleasant night the both of you..."
*And with that she turned on a heel and glided out of the room to deal with whatever had been brought to her attention. Thinking to herself...*
::Goddess... I never expected to see her so soon... Well in any case she's here now, hopefully she can help heal the Parts of Ruby that only one like herself could have a hope of touching...::

*A cloaked figure enters the dimly lit room behind the fiery elf. The cloak itself was made of a very heavy wool, with an emroidered edge. It was lined with a blood red silk that shined like the piercing eyes that peered out form the concealing shadows of the hood, and pinned at the throat with a ruby clasp. As Sierra hurried off, she looked down at the young girl in front of her... and as to most ruby was not young, being around 500 given a quick guess... She was still a child to the woman standing in her presence. Slender arms reached out of the depth of the heavy cape and pale hands slowly peeled the hood from a very thin, finely chisled face. The woman looked to be no older than mid 20's but the very feel of her let anyone who was capable of sensing such things that that would be terribly wrong. Her skin was almost translucent in was white, like perfectly carved alabaster. Her eyes were delicate aside from the fact they were a most unatural blood red. Her hair was like finely spun spiders silk, a sheen of platinum loops and curls. Her hair, judging from the amount that was piled on top of her head in an intracate series of loops, curls and ringletts was quite long, at least waist length perhaps... She wore a very old victorian styled dress that laced up the front of the bodice. Ruby having many simillar dresses would without a doubt know from the generous amount of cleavage and the way the woman's waist was drawn in and the full skirts flared out... that there was a finely crafted whalebone corsette beneath all these garments. The fabric was mostly comprised of black velvets, although one of the many layers was vivid red with black lace over top the skirt. Ribbons and tassles were wound in about everywhere that it was almost overwhelming. Long draping sleeves spilled over the womans hands as they dropped away from her face and to her sides.
She spoke in a soft, mild mannered voice. It was so welcoming and inviting and to anyone besides Ruby or another vampire... it would have almost been sexual the way it rubbed inside your mind. One thing that race however could not change was her dainty english accent that laced her words as she spoke*
"Good evening my child... I'm the Lady Adina Ashkeron... an old 'aquaintance' of Lady Sierra's. She contacted me a short span of time ago and informed me of a new member who was a master vampire... yet knew nothing of her people or herself and shied away from her natural talents. I recieved that letter naught but a fortnight ago... and here I stand before you. Will you accept my hand Ruby of Canterbury? And allow me to teach you that being a daughter of the night is not all curses and unholiness as you have so shamefully been led to believe?"

*She looks up at the Lady and smiles, glad to finally have someone to teach her what she truly was. She closes her book carefully and stands.*
"I would be honoured to have you teach me, Lady. I would very much like to know, truly, who I am. I know nothing of us, nothing of our species. I only know that it was a monster who turned me, and so I assumed that I was a monster as well. I shied away from humans, because the hunger for their blood was too strong. I made the mistake of killing on once, and the guilt that has followed me has been almost too much to bear. Please Lady, take me under your wing, and teach me."
*She bows deeply, her ebony hair falling over her shoulders. She stands again, and smoothes her black skirt and smiles.*

*Adina takes Ruby's hand in hers and clasps it in her own. Her skin was smooth and cool, like that of a finely polished stone. She smiles so warmly that had it was almost hard to believe that this woman was not alive in the traditional sense of the word. It was a smile that could cause men's knees to weaken and their hearts to burst... along with the ocassional woman's for that matter. Centuries old she was as pituresque as period style portrait that you would find hanging in a grand hall of a noble.
The woman mused as she noticed how Ruby seemed to look balanced beside her. Each of them in their black gowns, but Ruby's raven black tendrils stood out in beautiful contrast to her own snowy white hair. Ruby's hair was as dark as any void, and Adina's was as silvery as the icy moonlight that shone through the window. She was happy that this girl had accepted her so willingly, often she had to coax the younger vampires she had journyed to meet to allow her to help them. She was once in Ruby's position... fearful of the man that had taken her and fearful of what she had been turned into. But that had been centuries ago and now she was almost vainly proud of her ancient race and their poetic culture. Hopefully she would be able to share this love of her kind with the child and she in turn would come to embrace what she was with an open mind. Adina had not failed to notice the amount of potential power that flowed through the dark vampiress before her. So much untrained unfocused power... She had not doubt that with a helping hand Ruby would aspire to be a very strong master indeed. She speaks again in that same alleuring and sensual voice*
"I would be most honored to teach you poppet... Daylight is pressing against the darkness though. We shall retire for the dawn and Your lessons shall begin shortly after dusk."
*With that the woman vanishes from the room, leaving a chilling mist of power behind her*

*Ruby watches the woman dissapear into a mist, and the mist dissapear out the door. She frowns for a few minutes, thinking. She nods to herself, and picks up her book. She walks out of the Lounge, not knowing the particular trick that Adine had used, and went into her room.*

*Seeing that Tranz hadn't registered my response, I pushed the glowing blue light on the PS2, and made sure it had turned off. I wrapped up the controller and stuck it in it's orginial place, aside the other controllers. I turned to the swiftly closing door. Several people had already left, and the few that were left seemed to be busy in what they were or weren't doing. I walked out the door hoping to find something interesting to do.*

*Upon waking to the darkness of night surrounding her, Ruby got up and ready for another evening in the Lounge, with her book and whoever else may pop by. She walked over to her usual spot, in the corner and pushed her bat like sleeves up her arms. And tucked her straight black skirt underneath her legs. She opened her book, and began to read:
"Van?" That voice would bring him out of a sound sleep, let alone the restless drug-daze he was in now. He struggled up out of the grip of fever-dreams to force his eyes open. Lissa was sitting on the edge of his bed, dressed in riding leathers. "Liss—?" he began, then realized what riding leathers meant. "—oh, gods—" "Van, I'm sorry, I didn't want to leave you, but Father said it was now or never." She was crying; not prettily like Lady Treesa, but with blotched cheeks and blood shot eyes. "Van, please say you don't mind too much!" "It's . . . all right, Liss," he managed, fighting the words out around the cold lump in his throat and the colder one in his gut. "I . . . know. You've got to do this. Gods, Liss, one of us has to get away!" "Van—I—I'll find some way to help you, I promise. I'm almost eighteen; I'm almost free. Father knows the Guard is the only place for me; he hasn't had a marriage offer for me for two years. He doesn't dare ruin my chances for a post, or he'll be stuck with me. The gods know you're safe enough now—if anybody dared do anything before the Healer says you're fit, he'd make a protest to Haven. Maybe by the time you get the splints off, I'll be able to find a way to have you with me...." She looked so hopeful that Vanyel didn't have the heart to say anything to contradict her. "Do that, Liss. I—I'll be all right." She hugged him, and kissed him, and then left him. And then he turned to the wall and cried. Lissa was the only support he had had. The only person who loved him without reservations. And now she was gone. After that, he stopped even pretending to care about anything. They didn't care enough about him to let Liss stay until he was well—so why should he care about anything or anyone, even enough to be polite?*

*The older vampire travels as fog, being from England she seemed to find the mists to be a familliar comfort. Having been granted permission to enter the HQ threshold she was able to materialize wherever she pleased in the building... other than rooms that she did not have permission to enter.
She emerges from a shroud of mist just outside the door to the lounge and glances in, her crimson eyes picking out her protoge nestled on a couch lost in a good book.
She walks into the room, a gracefull sweep of skirts and the haughty clicking of expensive heels striking the floor as she walks... rather 'glides' across the room. *
"Good evening poppet..."

A small girl scurried into the room, diving into a pile of plushies before peeking out, her grey eyes hidden behind a black mask. The pile shifted as she adjusted herself in the pile, buried in plushies. The girl blink curiously as she watched the older vampires in front of her pile.
::It's a shame they can sense me, and saw me, for a secret glance at these two could prove interesting...::

*She looks up from her book and smiles as her gaze sets upon Adina. She is covered from head to toe almost in a black and red tafetta and brocade dress that has a fitted dropped waist with a full gathered skirt. The skirt and center front are of a gorgeous irredescant black taffeta, that absolutley shimmers silvery in the dim light of the Lounge. The fitted bodice of the dress is of a brocade which is done up corset style. The dress is truly stunning and slimming. The sleeves are brocade above the elbow, and below the elbow are gathered tafetta with a bow. It looked much like something Ruby would wear. She made a mental note to ask Adina where she'd gotten it, later.*
"Good Evening Lady."

*Adina drank in the younger woman's pleasing appearance. She was cloaked in a most unusual batlike jacket, made of high quality velvet. She knew without reaching out, just how soft that carress could be. The sleeves were cut in a droopy jagged pattern that resembled bat wings, with a deep lavander silk lining. She has on a long velvet skirt that trails about her pale and slender figure and matches the unique ensemble. Her long black hair swept over her icey coloured skin in ebony cascades, softned only by the silvery touch of moonlight. It was enough to make the older vampiress catch her breath and spark some curiosity in the back of her mind. Pushing it aside Adina smiled warmly and met the young vampires stunning smile, with one of her own to match.*
