"I truly am sorry!" He rushed at Ryu, slamming the spear down.
"Then stop!" He blocked with the kunai. The kunai shattered and Ryu jumped back, getting cut along the front.
"You know me better than that. I can't" He struck out with the spear.
"Then I have no choice but begin this dance." Ryu began to rock from foot to foot. "This dance of blood and death!" When the spear got close, Ryu drew his white sword, spinning and parrying the attack. "Ookami Dance of Battle!" As if to music that no one else could hear, Ryu began to dance.

Sagara went to retort to this comment, but was cut off as the massive pheonix landed on top of him, causing the shinobi to collaspe beneath the avian's weight.
Aki's hands flew together quickly, before the placed her fingers in front of her mouth. "Pheonix Flame!" she roared, exhaling into a massive stream of fire, which shot past Nobilis to the body of the shinobi beneath him.
"Nobilis!" Aki barked, motioning to the bird. He moved easily, unscathed from the blaze, and took up position next to his comrade.

"Don't play with me." The spear became two tonfas. He rushed Ryu.
Ryu danced and spun, cutting.
Silva dodged the best he could. He suddenly grabbed Ryu's gauntlet. It began to resonate.
"Get off." He pushed him off. "Shall we finish this fight?" He put his sword away. and began to make hand signs.
"Lets." He rushed, the silver large gauntlets of their own. He just connected with Ryu's jaw when something happened.
Ryu fell to the ground, sparks flying up.
Kisuke suddenly appeared next to the barrier. "RYU!!"
Silva stepped back. "What's happening?" The air inside of the barrier began to heat. Even Silva's special silver began to melt. He collapsed from the heat.
"Don't do it!!!!" Kisuke pounded on the barrier.
Suddenly, fire erupted from Ryu and filled the barrier with fire.
The barrier collapsed, the fire spreading out in all directions. When the fire subsided, all that was left was a large smoldering crater.
"s**t." Kisuke collapsed to his knees. "He overheated.
In Orochimaru's chamber:
"Orochimaru-sama" A ninja appeared in front of him.
"Yes, what is it?"
"It seems that Ryu has killed Silva and himself in the process."
"Hmm, I am pleased."
"Sir?"
"Silva did his job. I never expected him to survive, just slow Ryu down, but he exceeded my expectations."

"Ryu!" Aki screamed, turning her head from her own fight. Sagara took this oppurtunity and dashed forward, fist connecting with the kunoichi's jaw, before he wrapped his thorned whip around her neck and torso.
"Kisuke! Get everyone else out of here!" she barked, already gasping for breath as the vine's stranglehold tightened. She grimaced as the thorns cut into her skin, blood seeping out and soaking her dark clothing.
Another punch to the face silenced the kunoichi for a moment, successfully breaking her nose.
"Now! I'm not sure how long I can hold them off!" Her eyes connected with the side of the shinobi's head. "I won't die, I promise."

Genma watched, a heavy feeling sinking into his chest. First Hayate, then Aki... who else close to him would sacrifice their own life for their village?

"Remember Genma," Saluk stated, "Hayayte was by himself...he didn't have the Suicidal Saluk at his disposal." Saluk grabbed his trusty scyth, a weapon he used for the first time infront of a crowd.
"OF COURSE YOU WON'T DIE, AKI! I WON'T LET LET YOU!"
Saluk was able to cut of Sagara from attacking Aki's blind spot again with his scyth.
"Sorry Aki, but you know me. Stubborn. I staid on the side-lines long enough."

"SOULS...DAWN OF THE SOULS!!!!!" Shigamaru screamed out as an endless flood of souls began to fire out of his mouth, each and every one of them screaming and wailing in terror. "Behold MY TRUE POWER!! I SHALL NO LONGER LIVE IN FEAR OF HIM, FOR I AM MY OWN MASTER, I AM THE SOUL NINJA FROM THE SOUND SHIGAMARU!!" he began to scream as the souls were circling around him and then they blew out into a nova, vaporizing all the trees, but fortunatly didnt affect any living thing. Shigamaru promptly collapsed, his puppets still active and staying vigilant.

Kisuke jumped up. "Grow Hayabusa!" the sword in his hands changed into a naginata. "Sorry Aki, can't let you go like this. Ryu wouldn't forgive me for it." He twirled the naginata.

Letting go of the vine, Aki whipped out a kunai, quickly slicing the thorny plant from its base. She uncurled it from her neck and tossed to to the side, staggering to her feet with relative ease.
"I've been saving this." she growled, turning to look at Sagara, who had retreated back roughly twenty feet, "And you're perfectly in range for it."
Closing her eyes, she laced her fingers into a handseal, focusing herself. As her lids re-opened, the normally gray iris had turned a shade of black.
"Iridos!" she snapped, staring Sagara down. Dropping into a lax pose, she darted forward, hand dragging the ground to snag her fuuma shuriken. Sliding to the side, she rammed the blunt side against the shinobi's ribcage, a sickening crack resonating in the area. The kunoichi slid back right after, charging her own chakra into the weapon, flicking it open with a simple movement of her wrist.
"Are you ready... to die?"

Kisuke stood ready. He glanced back at the crater. "Man, does this mean I'm to take on your promise now?" He mumbled as he stared at the smoke rising from it.

Aki's head tilted to the side, a slightly sick, manical grin plastered on her face. Crimson dripped from her nose and the corner of her mouth, slowly running down the side of her face.
"Hit me with your worst." Sagara spat, glaring at her. The cracked and shattered ribs in his torso ground uncomfortably as he even dared to breath, leaving him coughing up palmfulls of blood every minute or so.
The kunoichi's black eyes focused, spying out the location of the shinobi's heart. She drew back her arm, before charging forward easily, bringing up the blades to easily slice through the man's middle.
A sharp intake of breath was heard as blood gushed from the laceration, before Sagara swayed, and fell to the ground with a dull thud.
"I always knew... you'd be the l-last..." he growled, coughing as he faded quite quickly, "Don't... give up...."
"Killing you was my goal since the day you left our squad." Aki replied coldly, dropping her stained weapon to the ground, collasping to a sitting position, "And I've finally... reached that goal."

Saluk looked at Aki. 'Well, I guess she doesn't really need my help after all..." Saluk was a little sad, but at the same time happy that Aki was able to reach her goal.
Saluk walked past Genma and into the forest where he stared up at a large redwood tree.
"This shall do..." he whispered and he swung his scyth into the thick trunk of the mighty tree.

Kisuke looked back. "Yes, it would seem so." His naginata changed back into a sword and he sheathed it.

Panting slightly, Aki attempted to stagger up to her feet, swaying a bit. A few steps were made in the rest of the group's direction, before she hit her knees, pushing herself to continue to try to move forward.
"The... undetermined life..." she huffed, voice slightly ragged, "Is not... worth living."
Genma watched silently, auburn eyes staring up from the ground below the low roof. A grim expression was set on his face.
'In my condition, there's no way...' he thought silently, before looking to Saluk.
"Saluk, Kisuke." he said sharply, nodding up at Aki, "You two will have to help her back to Konoha. There's no way she'll make it on her own."
