Raj just picked up a fork and proceeded to eat the hash, taking a moment to cut off a piece of the steak and bite into that. He was really not wanting to answer Rei at all when he mentioned family, but he probably didn't think about how the "family" situation might actually apply to a loner like him.
"I've never been to this place before." He replied, still eating and taking several gulps of water when he finished half of the meal. He wasn't feeling like talking much now. Rei was too good at hitting on touchy subjects.

Rei picked up the knife by his fork and stuck the fork into the cake, it was, what was the word... Fluffy. He held it as much as a fork could, and cut a slice of the cake out with the knife, he picked off one of the strawberries on the cake and tossed it into his mouth, it was delicious. "Oh man this cake's great!" He grinned as he took a womping bite of the slice, stuffing the pieces into his mouth and swallowing it after a few bites, sometimes just swallowing the pieces whole. Looked like Raj was doing the same, eating, a bit less talkative, but he had been like that since Rei's known him for the short time today, well, besides when he mentioned Firebenders and fighting them, then he perked right up. He was stuffing a few more pieces of the fluffy cake into his mouth, washing it down with Orange juice whenever he felt like he was choking by swallowing to much at a time, or just plain old thirsty.
He heard Raj talking but he was quickly finishing off the taste, lots of his strength was coming back to him, infact, by the time he was done the cake he felt full energy, he might trying training with his Glider again, seeing as he'd probably be needing it really soon to escape Raj after he found out he was lieing, he wasn't worried though, he could go a lot faster then most people could, Airbending and all. "Phew, I'm good." Rei nodded to himself, his plate was empty besides some small pieces of cake left, not even pieces, like crumbs were on the plate, utensils on the plate. "You done?" He asked, patting his stomach happily at the meal.

Raj glanced at Rei, seeing the Airbender devour the cake like he were a pack of wolfbats and it was a hapless, wounded animal. He finished the steak and hash quickly, drinking down the rest of his water and setting the cup next to his plate. He was here and Rei seemed to be someone in desperate need of money, so he took the bill and paid for what it cost.
"Don't take this as being your friend, Rei, you just need the money more than I do. So I'll pay for your meal this time." He remarked before Rei made any more comments about "buds" sticking together or some other load of crap. He headed to the exit of the restaurant to start looking for the Ba Sing Se Firebenders Rei had mentioned.

"Hello there." he said as he walked to Raj to see him exiting the resturaunt, the large gourd that was on his back would look heavy to others was quite comfy for him. "I know I sound like a begger but can you spare some change for a simple lunch?" He said as his stomach growled and as it could be heard easily, he gave an innocent smile with his eyes closed. "So what do you say hn?" He thought about it, his hunger was getting the best of him as he forgot what he would usually do. "As a matter of fact, i would pay you back...if thats okay of course...?"

This Airbending hadn't planned on paying, I meen, it was a treat right, since Rei informed Raj of those pesky Firebenders, except there was no Firebenders, and Raj had already given Rei the money to pay for a meal. Good friends always pay for eachothers meals, Rei is just usually the friend who's getting payed FOR, not the one paying. "Oh hey, thanks!" Rei smiled as Raj payed for his meal, he'd follow Raj outside from behind. "Ah, to late, I know you're just a softy for a Bender!" He joked aloud as he'd follow him outside, looked like there was someone talking to Raj, another friend, or, something.
Rei came out behind of Raj so the man with the gourd probably wouldn't have noticed him until he was talking, he popped up behind Raj with a good grin and leaned forward while he put his arm on Raj's shoulder when he spoke. "Come on Raj buddy, I meen, you've got plenty of cash to spare, don't let anyone walk around on an empty stomach, heck, I'd treat him but I don't have any cash, except for what you gave me, and I'm saving that." He grinned good naturedly, hopping he could talk Raj into it.

Raj just glowered at Rei, peeling his hand off of his shoulder before fishing some more coins out and throwing them at the stranger. "If either of you tell others that I'm a generous, giving soul, I'll put your deaths above the Fire Nation'son my list of things to do before I die. Understand?" He asked with the absolute worst of honesty. He had enough dealing with people, he didn't need a couple of money-grubbing fools to let others believe he wanted their company or to give them money.

"Fire nation?" He said as he began picking up the coins, couldn't he just give them to him by hand? The nerve of some people. "Hehe, don't worry I wont...I don't want to ruin your rude reputation now do I? But to pay you back...How about i help you fight the fire nation? I want to see how strong i've gotten compared to those Idiots..." he said as he picked up the last coin and fixed the gourd on his back. "Thanks...Think i can travel with you guys some day?"

"Not if I can help it..." Raj grumbled to himself, looking at Katagi warily. He seemed to be a waterbender, but Raj wouldn't bet on it since he hadn't looked that deeply into waterbending or how to pick one out.
"Maybe...It's just a question of if you can find us again." He said aloud to the man. Then again, he technically wasn't travelling with Rei either, so what made him think that Raj wanted him along too?

As his hand was pushed off Raj's shoulder, he felt slightly relieved, at least Raj hadn't decided to break his hand, last time he had squeezed, who knew what'd happen once he touched him again. "No touchy, I got it." He sighed weakly. "Okay okay, no telling you're a generous, giving soul. Got it." He added annoyingly, Raj would be fun to travel with, seeing as he was uptight, and Rei was so loose he goes flying on a Kite. "But I knew you would, I meen, you're just so nice." He added with sarcasm dripping from his words, fun fun fun. "Oh, uhm, yeah helping us fight the Firebenders, hehe, sure." He went through, not really able to think of, there he went again, getting another person involved in the whole 'Firebending lie for food', but at least Katagi didn't seem like one to lash out and start laying on some hurt, unlike Raj, who'd probably chuck a boulder.
He might as well keep on going I meen, there was no stopping him now, he just had a web of lies going(Only one. XD). "Travel with us SOMEDAY, no! Right now, you can come right now, we we're just heading over to the River, thats where I heard they were heading." He put in, as he grabbed Katagi and would pull him closer to the group, grinning. "Lets go." He said, letting go of Katagi as he started walking, they'd be at the river just as soon as they left Ba Sing Se.

Rajin took the trolly into Ba Sing Se which took about twenty minutes to actually arrive in the city itself. He seemed a little disgruntled from his encounter the previous day in the desert and from the long trip to the Earth Kingdom capitol. When he walked through the gates he looked around for Li and Thunder. Where the hell is that fool with Thunder? Rajin thought. He also began to wonder if Li had actually found the people he mentioned about in his letter. After two hours of searching he decided to stop looking. He figured he would eventually bump into them.

Rajin looked over his shoulder and noticed an open bar. He headed over to the counter and ordered a fruit drink. He sighed wondering when Li would pop up.

When the man behind the counter gave him the drink Rajin set down three copper pieces on the wood next to the drink and then picked up the mug. He took three big gulps of the sweet nectar in the cup and then slammed it down onto the wood counter. "Thanks" Rajin said to the man and then left for the river to see if the had been already training the people he sent him to find. That had now occurred to him and after all he should have found them by now since he sent the letter two weeks ago.

After Li had met up with his commander he rode back into the city of Ba Sing Se along side four other low ranked earth kingdom soldiers. They were in search for the other two people that were stated in Commander Xu's letter. And hopefully he would find them. He then turned his head back to look at his solders and said, "Alright men, keep and eye out for anything suspicious. Our objective so far is to find the two earth benders and draft them". Li told them. Then the headed further into the city.

Li commanded the others to stop and they did obey. He described the two people they were looking for and then told them he was going to search else where but in mean time they were to stay here in Ba Sing Se and search for them. When he finish he told them to go and they saluted Li. Li saluted the four of them as well and then left the great city of Ba Sing Se to finish his mission.

Kourou watched with growing interest as she spotted some odd people leaving Ba Sing Se. The little water bender was bored staying in the comforts of thier apartment and had decided to go about and do some exploring in the big city. She wasn't sure why her parents had taken her her, but she shrugged it off. What really mattered to her was exploring the place. The place was dry and warmer than what she was used to, but it encouraged her restlessness. She pulled onto her white cap onto her head tightly as she walked down the stairs to where her apartment was.
