Atticus made a show of being miffed. "He's not the slightest bit interested in a thing I have to say... That's not even assuming what I have to say is interesting," he sighed deeply, looking vaguely in the direction the lamia had disappeared in. "But I suppose you wouldn't mind telling me anything about this Circle business, would you, sir Seishirou?" if the other was going to stand on titles, so was he!

Tsuzuki nodded along sympathetically with Hisoka's woes, quite pleased to have him cuddling--well, as close to cuddling as Hisoka did, until... "And?" he prompted, leaning forward a tad to try and get a good look at the kitten's face.

Seishirou laughed quietly. "If I had more time, I'd be sure to explain it to you, sir Atticus. However, as Miss raven is preparing for her nightly outing, I am supposed to show everyone to the door-- did anyone else come with you today?"

The kitten blushed as he glanced away. "I... I missed you," he admitted softly, turning an adorable shade of pink.

"I'm sure you're familiar with the term 'lone wolf'," Atticus smiled easily. "Do I really have to leave? Or at least... may I come back soon?" He wasn't about to tell this angel about Tsuzuki--no chance in hell. The pup could leave when he was ready, Circle's wishes or no.

"Now those were possibly the best words you've said to me since... since ever," Tsuzuki laughed quietly in response, peering down at his partner with an unsuppressed inner glow. "I missed you too, 'soka--and I'm sorry I'm not around so much."

((Sorry, net died and then raven went *poof*))

Seishirou laughed. "Do as you will, Sir Atticus-- of course we wouldn't want to keep you away. It's merely that Miss raven doesn't enjoy having vistors stay the night without her knowledge, you see-- especially if she hasn't met them. If anyone is known to her-- and not on her list of those never to set foot in her domain-- they're welcome to stay."

Hisoka flushed more, sighing softly as he leaned on Tsuzuki. "Stay with me for a little while...? I... I'm tired of looking over paperwork and such..."

((nooo problemo, dearie razz How was the show last night?))

Well he wasn't about to 'fess up to lying, now was he? Ah, well. He'd just have to let 'sato take that chance. Better the Circle didn't know he was here than otherwise, yeah? "See you around, sir," Atticus waved a hand airily and headed towards the exit. Maybe he'd just sneak up around the windows, see if he could find Tsuzuki that way... It'd be troublesome to fix up a story over 'Oh, I didn't realize he'd come too, silly me', besides such, it just wasn't worth the explanation to this angel.

That inner warmth was growing exponentially now. It felt so good to be around him again... "Long as you want me to," Tsuzuki promised, "I'm always telling you to loosen up anyway--this just gives me an excuse to supervise, ne?"

((@_@ One of the napkins... lost a headdress during BoG... @_@))

Seishirou laughed as he bowed slightly to the coon and moved back towards his room. He supposed Atticus had no idea about raven loving security cameras...

Hisoka managed a smile as he ALMOST snuggled closer to Tsuzuki. "Hijiri's here... if you hadn't heard," he murmured softly.

As soon as he'd made it outside the door, Atticus walked a few yards and took off, circling through the air so as to get a good look at the nest from above. Now that he was really thinking about it, he was pretty certain leaving well enough alone had been a bad idea, and while he was normally ready to take any risk set before him... letting others take that risk wasn't his fancy.

((Describe nest? Or maybe someone else in the air o_O))

"Yeah... well... I heard that he was unhappy with me..." Tsuzuki trailed off mournfully. "That was back when I was told you were mad at me too. Not the best of--" silence. "How the heck did he get here? What is this book, a free for all tea party?"

Finally having found his way out of the forest, Asteil flew home slowly, thinking. The Nest had never been easy to find from above-- given its constantly shifting exterior, but there were a few ways to be sure you'd found the right place-- for example, the ring of shimmering light surrounding the area raven called her Domain...

At any rate, Asteil felt... confused. Utterly and completely confused beyond belief. Probably because... well, Kairos. That cat would be the death of him-- or the life? Who knew, really...? But... but-- someone above the Nest? Who...?

"Hello?" he called cautiously, unsure if this flying coon was friend or fo-- holyshitthatwasabeta.

"Actually, I think he's more upset with Tatsumi, given that he didn't let me know he saw you... but who knows with 'Jiri?" Hisoka sighed softly. "I don't know how he got here-- he didn't tell me. Maybe he'd tell you..." Hisoka murmured sleepily.

Atticus turned his head at the sound of approaching wings. These had sounded so strange... wispy. Like the spaces between twilight and moths. He hovered in his his flight, waiting for the demon to approach with a vague curiosity tinging his lips.

"Hello there, stranger," he called once the demon pulled to his abrupt halt. "The name's Atticus--perhaps you might be able to give me a hand in something?"

"Mad at... Aren't we all mad at Tatsumi?" Tsuzuki asked plaintively. "Well... if not mad, sort of... I dunno." Man... sleep sounded so, so good right now... Hisoka's near yawning wasn't helping in the slightest. "I think I've missed you too. Don't know why I've bothered to keep cooped up so long..."

Stretch, yawn. Put an arm around his shoulders. Oldest trick in the book. But heck, who was there to care or see?

Asteil managed a faint smile. "Nice to meet you, Atticus. I'm Asteil-- one of raven's 'Nestlings'. Is there anything I can do for you?" It paid to be nice to powerful people... like Alphas and Betas.

Hisoka flushed, smiling slightly as he felt Tsuzuki's arm around his shoulders. "I think I'm going to fall asleep," he informed his partner quietly as he ALMOST nuzzled the wolf.

((lunch, be back in fifteen, twenty minutes, maybe sooner))

Atticus grinned, stretching an arm out in friendly greeting, "Why yes, as a matter of fact there is, Asteil..." He glanced meaningfully down at the Nest, "There's a certain wolf wandering about in there that I may have gotten into some amount of trouble. You see, a lamia by the name of Lucius knows he's there while I have told a certain angel that he isn't."

"It's probably good for you," Tsuzuki acknowledged, resisting the urge to just draw him straight into a hug. Hisoka always had been so... catty about touching. Okay. Bad pun. "Bet you haven't done much of it recently, either."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:18 pm

((K... you know me, I pop on and off.))

Asteil made a face at the mention of Lucius and Seishirou. "You didn't tell Seishirou he's there? Or you told him he wasn't? Doesn't matter. Sei has access to raven's security cameras-- he probably already knows about whichever wolf's here-- is it Sirius, Severus, Tsuzuki, or someone else?" Asteil asked, sighing softly.

Hisoka sighed. "I've been trying to find out more about our situation here from everyone-- it's been an interesting experience, since at home we're more used to being field operatives..." he muttered as he closed his eyes, loving Tsuzuki's nearness-- though he wouldn't admit it.

Atticus raised hands in a shrug, "I'm not calling him stupid, Asteil, I just don't want to admit defeat and come skulking back down. Could you possibly be a sweetheart and give 'sato a hint that he ought to make someone other than his Hisoka aware of his presence?"

Tsuzuki nodded in time with the sigh, adjusting his position ever so slightly to bring them ever so slightly closer. 'soka smelled really nice sometimes... well, most of the time. Actually... all right, he couldn't remember a time when Hisoka hadn't smelled nice. Neat freak. "I've sort of been reveling in not having to do anything, I guess," he said after a moment. "I don't miss near danger, but I guess I do miss the getting out and about part of it." And spending that time with you.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:40 pm

Asteil nodded. "I'll let him know... is there anything else I can help you with?" It paid to be nice to powerful people... sometimes. Even if it hurt his delicate wings to stay in the air so long...

Hisoka sighed-- it sounded almost like a purr, but... Hisoka would be most upset if it was written he purred-- as he nodded slightly. "It's... different here... although I don't... know what happens next..." Poor kitten was quickly falling asleep.

"Not at all," Atticus waved his hand negligently. "You're such a nice kid--we needn't stand on such formalities, you know," he trailed off with a final nod and grin--or had that been a smirk?--and soared off in the general direction of Jan's flat.

Frankly, Tsuzuki couldn't have been happier. Hisoka snarking at him wasn't bad--he wouldn't be Hisoka without the snarking--but tired, sweet Hisoka was... irresistable. "Go ahead and sleep, I don't mind," he said softly. "You might want to try lying down first but you know, that's just my preference~"

Things were different here. There was no getting around it. Besides... they never knew 'what was going to happen next' anyway. As long as... as long as moments like this happened, things could stay the way they were.
