Progolo found this quite interesting. He always found it deeply amusing to see animals and people over-react, as he had his own dramatic companions to look after himself. It could get tiresome, but, under the right circumstances, such boughts of drama could get him to laugh quite hard, despite his generally reserved nature. "She sounds like a handful," he said with a knowing, sympathetic smile.
"Kwark? Meheheh..."
Th distance between the two was narrowing...Kala was hardly five feet away. This was getting scary! What if this Aerandir was really mean?

"You have no idea," Ari laughed, meaning it more as a figure of speach then anything elese, "But...I love her anyway. Sometimes I just wish she could have some nice, quite moments." She chuckled a little at this. Quiet wasn't Wiya's style at all. And she was sure that wasn't going to change as she grew.
Rawiya stood rigid, her eyes staring at the other aerandir carefully. She was ready to bolt if this strange one bit at her again. But she didn't say anything, as if thinking that using her voice would simply ensure the biting to take place.

Keeping a careful eye on Kala's progress, Progolo made another stab at conversation. "Kala likes to be active and noisy herself...but she doesn't like all the attention on her, I don't think. Not nearly as dramatic. Unless she's hungry," Progolo added with a weak smile. "So...What do you feed her? Rawiya, that is."
It was time to show her intentions, Kala decided. Moving just a tad closer, she shuffled down onto her knees and then rolled over onto her back, exposing her tender underbelly in a sign of innocence.

"Uh...feed her? Uh...well nuts and greens mostly. Anything else she tends to ignore or get sick over..." Ari said thoughtfully. Well it did make sense, since Wiya was composd of herbavoirs. Animals were really sensative in their diets. She glanced back over at him, "What about Kala?"
Wiya looked confused. What was the strange creature doing? She was acting like Sashta! And she looked nothing like the cat. Hm...did that mean she wanted her belly rubbed too? She took a step or two closer and bent her neck down and began to rub her beak up and down Kala's belly curiously.

Progolo shrugged. "Some kind of shrimp-mush I order from an aquarium. I pour into a pan of water, and she puts her head in upside-down and sifts it through her beak. It's quite odd, but it seems to work well, and she really likes it. She tends to get alot of water in her ears--"
He broke off at the sight of Kala's and Rawiya's antics, his brow knitting. "What...are they doing...?"
Kala was wondering in the same thing as Rawiya bent over her. What was she...ah! That tickled! She flinched, curling up as best as she could. Afraid to frighten off a prospective friend, however, she made no additional movements. Actually, it felt pretty nice, once she got over the surprise. She clacked her beak in a gesture akin to a giggle.

"Shrimp? That's different..." Ari murmured, beginning to comment on the very different diet the two Aerandir shared when she looked over to see what the two were doing. She blinked. Why did this look familar? Ohhh, right. "Oh...My cat back at home always rolls over wanted her belly rubbed...I guess Wiya think's she's supposed to rub Kala's." She had to hide a laught, for the whole thing looked rather rediculous.
Click click? That wasn't the sound Sashta made when she had her belly rubbed. Rawiya looked a little confused, but seemed to like the reaction anyway. So she rubbed her beak a little faster, her eyes seeming to brighten a little from their wary state.

It was fun to have attention lavished on her, but Kala felt like it wasn't right to be the only one enjoying this meeting. Without shifting her body at all, she extended her neck and gently caressed Rawiya's neck. There. Now they were even~!
Progolo's face was alight with amusement. "That's adorable..." he murmurred, grinning. Perhaps their faulty relationship could be saved after all...

Ari beamed, "I'm glad to see they're getting along better! I must say I was worried Wiya was being difficult..." For she knew just how difficult Rawiya could be when she wanted to. Extremely and unbearable difficult and stubborn. But...that was probably what made living with her so exciting.
Rawiya felt Kala's beak brush against her feathers and tossed her head gracefully away, taking a few quick, jerking steps backward. She flicked her tail and ruffled her wings and began to trot along through the sand. However, it seemed she wasn't frightened by the other creature anymore. She even peeked back over her shoulder as she paused, tilting her head at Kala.

Kala tried to get up; not an easy task for a creature not intended to lie on its back. She eventually rolled over and struggled to her feet with a pronounced lack of grace. After taking a second to compose herself, she trotted after Rawiya at a careful, measured pace, so as not to startle her away again. She kept her head lowered and her ears erect with curiosity, her neck taking on a funny s-shape. Man, this Rawiya was an odd creature...she was so unpredictable! But that did give Kala a bit of a thrill, just wondering what she would do next...
Progolo also resumed his prior action, leading Ari to number 3, but he moved a little more deliberately and kept a cautious eye on the two Aerandir. "Mm..." he murmured in response to Ari, to indicate that he was still listening more than anything. "What does she like to do, then? or does that change every day as well?"

Ari laughed a little, "Well it DOES change quite a bit, but the one thing she always loves to do is listen to stories or well...I guess sort of perform them, but it's hard to tell that's what it is, since she basically just runs around energeticly doing wierd stuff. I guess it's hard to act as a gryffon." It was always entertaining to watch Wiya do all these things. Somehow she imagined it was going to be far easier to understand once she was a kid and could actually wear make-shift costumes and such.
Rawiya decided she'd prance around the two guardians as she walked, making large arc patterns in the sand as she did so. She had no idea where they were going, but Ari looked like she was having fun and she wasn't going to be left out. She whickered energetically tossing her head and casting a curious ear flick towards Kala. Was she going to do anything fun? Maybe she'd join in the prancing too!

"It must be a chore to get bored with her around," Progolo mused, smilingly. He'd like to see one of her performances some time, though he figured time was running short for her gryphon stage. Not that that was a bad thing...She'd likely be just as entertaining, if not more so, in anthropomorphic form.
Kala watched Wiya with glee. That looked like fun! Watching Rawiya had taught her to run, so why not give prancing a try?
She picked up the pace, making her steps a bit more jaunty. Hoo, she could do this! Boldly, she threw a bucking kick into her routine. It was scary to only have two of her hooves on the ground, but enthralling at the same time.
Progolo raised an eyebrow. She was going to break her ankle any minute now...
"Careful, Kalarune," he warned.
His caution only made Kala's antics more pronounced. Ah well...at least they were near home now...
"Here we are," Progolo said, leading Ari towards the rear porch. "Would you like to wait here while I fetch the feathers I have, or would you like to come in?" He knew some women were a little paranoid about going alone into mens' houses and, though he was far from a pervert, he figured she'd feel safer if she had an option.
Kala slowed, her ears flicking. Huh? What were they doing home?

"Getting bored is a comfort that I can't really afford anymore, yes," Ari chuckled, raising curled fingers to her lips as she did so. Her eyes shifted to the home with mild curiousity, but nothing out of the ordianary. She blinked and quickly glanced back at him, "Oh? Uh...well, whatever is easiest for you, I don't mind." Though perhaps she should stay out and watch Wiya and Kala...
Rawiya brayed with great enthusiasm at Kala's struts and flaunts of her body. Wow! Someone else could do it too! However, the aerandir was quickly distracted by the strange new house before her. She clicked her beak and went right to inspecting it!

"Very well...I suggest you stay out here--" as Progolo said this, he opened the back door and something roughly dog-sized lunged at his knees. He grunted with surprise. "Ah! Down, Taal...calm down..." With difficulty, he pushed the reddish griffin out of his way. "It's a bit busy in here," he finished. "I'll be right back."
He hurried up the ladder, up to his desk. Usually he just swept up the annoying feathers his charges left everywhere, but he liked to keep the larger ones. And it was a good thing he did, he decided. Who knew how many Aerandir would need them for growth?
Opening a drawer, he collected a handful of them. They were quite colorful; among them was one of Kala's own vividly pink feathers. As he walked back outside, he began to wonder...were Aerandir even able to distinguish colors? Huh.
"Here," he said, stepping back outside and closing the door behind him. He held the feathers out to Ari. "Take as many as you need."
Kala had been following Rawiya around, suddenly taking as much interest in her boring old house as the other Aerandir. She hadn't noticed some of these things before...

Wiya began to poke her head under the portch, peek in the windows, and paw around in the grass. It almost looked like she was looking for treasure or something, the way she searched. And she walked around almost like she was trying to sneak-which wasn't easy at all for an aerandir of her size and...well...normally loud nature.
Ari nodded, easily accepting the idea, "Alright." She smiled toward the reddish griffin and then shifted her eyes onto Rawiya. She couldn't let her get into trouble or anything, just because they were somewhere new! She knew that Wiya had a tendency to do so. When prologo returned she beamed at the amount of feathers he held out, "Wow! There are so many!" With a quick, thoughtful glance at Rawiya she examined the coloration of the feathers he had brought. She wasn't sure what they would be used for, but it seemed to make sense to pick something to go with Wiya herself. So she gentally slipped a dark blue and hot pink feather from his hands, "Ah...there! Thank you so much."

Progolo nodded, smiling, and bundled the remaining feathers up together. "You're welcome. If you need anything else, just let me know, alright?" It was funny to watch Rawiya attempting to be sneaky. Behind her back, Kala mimicked the other Aerandir, slinging her head low and taking careful, decisive steps. The scene practically screamed Pink Panther. (( Here's the images of the feathers if you want them: 3nodding ))
