G'day folks.

My name's Man Boobs, but for the lazy [or those who don't wish to become embaressed with having to type Boobs all the time] MB or Manny are fine. My real name is Ryan, and I'm in my final year of high school down in Southern England [or up, depending on where you're positioned in the world].

I'm fifteen, a bit of a geek and a gamer. Favourite games include City of Heroes and most of the Tony Hawk and Need for Speed titles.

I like science, and am a firm believed in evolution. I like 'debating' [read: arguing].

I can spell alright-ish, it's my grammar you may catch me out on a few times [I like using commas where they should not be].

I just logged on tonight to find this invite under a mass of 'LOL YOUR NAME IS FUNNEH' and 'OMGZORZ GIMME URS HAL0ZZZZZ', and happily joined under the premise of... uh... fun I guess.

For now though, I'm off to read some Bill Bryson before turning in for the night, listening to BBC Southern Counties.

I'm a 16 year old high school junior at a all-boys Catholic high school. Oh well.

As for on Gaia, I'm fairly poor. My guitar and my scarf are my most valuable things. And my Shadow Spirit, who is named Spencer. Be nice to him, he's sensitive.

I love to know stuff about everything. From grammar to physics, I enjoy it all.

More than knowing things, I like debating about them. It increases the knowledge of everyone involves. I personally think the best way to learn is debating about it. If I don't know something, I'll look it up.

I'm an avid gamer, but I prefer games from older generations, like the SNES era. My most active console currently is my PSX, as I've been playing some Squaresoft games lately.

My name is Lonora...what a shocker, huh? I know, surprise surprise. That's not my real name, of course...although it'd be cool if it was. Kinda...

Anyhoo, now that you all know my name, I'm just your average small-town, strange, brutally honest book nerd!

About me, in the simplest way to put it:

Likes: books, reading, swimming, Harry Potter, reading, soccer, reading, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, my algebra class (except stupid blasted probability! I HATE THAT! stare ), books, the Shannara series, all my other advanced classes (honestly, I like those classes way better), American Idol, reading, LOtR, and this really cute sophomore guy who flirts with me a lot (and that's my girly side showing through...don't worry, you won't see a lot of that).

Dislikes: the producers of the Harry Potter movies (WHERE IN THE HECK IS PEEVES??? GAH!), the opinions of Harmonians (these opinions I "dislike" with the fiery passion that burns with the fury of a thousand suns: It will NEVER HAPPEN!), dull people (they bore me), people (like The Populars) who are superficial freakshows who think it's wrong to have an ounce of intelligence, and people who diss my friends.

There's probably a lot more of my dislikes, but I'll leave it there lest you be sitting here for the next seven hours reading my list.

Oh, and a few subjects I like in school: algebra, history, and PE. But I HATE Language Arts...no offense to future LA professors, but I say as long as I can speak well enough, there's no reason for seriously "in-depth" grammar.

Don't judge my intelligence or character on my age: comparatively to most in here, I'm quite young. I'm turning 14 in a very brief amount of time. December 7, actually. My, how time flies.

And, for a nice closer, I'll tell you about my academic achievements. Yes, I like boasting a tad when it comes to grades, but everyone likes to boast about something (and don't try to deny it).

I have maintained a 4.0 GPA, I got selected as one of the top 200 7-8 grade students in the US to go to a big huge academic conference...thingy, I took the SATs a year ago (a program offered to people in 7th grade by Duke University), got a medal for doing so, recently got invited to a prestigious Preparatory High School in Colorado, got selected to go to a prestigious 8th Grade All-State band (82 kids from the entire state!) for trombone (yep, I'm a girl who plays trombone..ha! So is my friend, and she also got selected), my school won the Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl last year, I'm in MathCounts this year, and I'm taking Algebra, a high school course while I'm in eighth grade...well, so that one isn't so impressive, but whatever.

So, yes, I like to brag about school. Ahh well. Sorry for boring you 4laugh

Oh, and I suppose I could tell you how I look now. Green eyes, darkish (little above shoulder length) hair (all layered and hanging around my face...hey, I like it), not anorexic-girl skinny, but thin enough, and I'm 5' 7''. Yep...that's about it.

everyones 16 and goin to college or takin the SATs in 7th grade
i probably have a .75 GPA and im also suprised i got in to any guild with the word knoweledge in it. Although im definately interested in what you're doing and i agree that we never stop learning so i'll probably have a good time here thanks for letting me join

Dang that psychiatry clip was creepy...a real eye-opener. I think psychiatry would work for some people, but the way they're giving it to millions of people who don't need it is frustrating and maddening.
