"Perhapse softer human voices are similar to harsh ones to us. That could be a theory. Or perhapse they dislike actual song. I have read about great deeds done with a verse in prayer or the like. I have even heard of people being raised from the dead."
Erol ponders this unnatural idea, dismissing its common use as one might swat at a fly.
"In any case, what are we doing and where will we go?"
((Bonus info about rhyme: he made it up about an hour ago. The first word is also supposed to be heed.))

"Perhaps we shall wake the paladin and gather the others would be the best thing to do"

"I still don't see how he can do what he does, but let us wake him. What others are there in this group?"
Erol seems opposed slightly to the Paladin. He doesn't understand why anyone would be selfless. He was fine with healing and doing favors, but life for others would only let you be forgotten in ruins.
If you don't live for yourself, who will?
He also thinks he might have wanted to confirm who the others were. After all, he might have accidentally signed up for a crusade.

"lets see... theres Recril, and theres Ani'et, and of course, the paladin (cannot remember his name though ) I do believe one is a another Bard, and the other seems roguish type too, that person didnt seem to care for the Paladin, either.....Sides, what have you gotten against the paladins belief, anyhow? So what if he/she lives by a strict moral code of life, I tell ya, if I knew I could handle that, I know I would do what they do, but I am very much happy being the "group support" individual...anyways...if you are coming with me, lets go- your choice" (gets up and goes to waken the paladin )

"Support and morale. Interesting enough. I just do not see how a person can be so orderly. How a person could ever follow another person's ideals. Even good is relitive to each person. It is not that I don't care for him, it is more of I don't get him like you might not get a madman's rants. It just seems... unnatural."
Erol seemed displeased with the thought of order controlling everything.
Where would the fun be when you know what to expect?
Erol followed the bard up the stairs and waits by the door as the paladin is waking.
"I will hold to my word."

"I am held by my word. I might not be a paladin, but there is even honor among theives and I would not stoop below them. That, and where else will I have a chance of finding something new? I will not find it in these woods."
Erol tossed another peice of food to his hawk. Ebon snaps it out of the air, chowing down on it well enough.
"Perhapse it will be a dead end, but any chance is better than no chance. How goes the paladin and crew?"

As you open the door you find that the Paladin is standing and fixing his armor. He looks up at you smiles

"Ahh good morn M'lady Alleah you look well. I thank you kindly for the caring of my wounds. I was taken by surprise. No one was hurt I hope?"

The early morning sun gleams off his armor

"If I may interrupt, I can account for being one injured, but no longer"
Erol smiles as his bird again readjusts on his shoulder. He sees the paladin is not as haughty as he had read. Some of the other descriptions were not as true before anyway...
(('She turned me into a newt' 'I got better'))

HE looks at Erol and gives you a generous smile. His eyes shine with kindness and power.

Erol forcably stops himself from rolling his eyes. He harkens with a small smile. He had not me a man who actually seemed like this.
I might want to think about not offending him on the first day. I prefer those with swords and pointy objects to be on by side.
This allowed him a larger smile. He waited for this awkward moment to end. Perhapse he could avoid this fellow while they travelled. An occasional interruption by a fellow who probably was as trustworthy as he looked. Erol felt odd with the knowledge that a person could be that trustworthy. He only trusted himself. He always would.
