Yeah, that's true. I just don't believe that Cloud was truly romantic with Aeris. (Since Cloud's personality was pretty warped at the time....) In advent children, he acted as if she was someone very close to him, like a dear friend. It's a soft relationship I'm feeling, like when he asked for forgiveness or when he said "mother" (but that's also been debated, whether Cloud thinks that she is more like a mother-figure). Of course, this would be interpreted differently among others.

I hope you don't mean me.....I'm sure I tried not to bash anything. I simply stated my opinion. cry Yes, there are Cloti extremists and Cleris extremists and I hope neither of us are that extreme.

Of course, it's still debatable about Cloud's own feelings. We can safely agree that he's happily living with his new family, with Tifa, Marlene, and Denzel, and that isn't going to change. Unless someone out there wants to deny that somehow.

I think Cloud and Tifa have a relationship that goes way beyond friends, siblings, and family. Extremely good friends have often said that they feel more like siblings in a family. Now there is of course a line that differentiates the friend/family/sibling relationship to the lover/GF BF relationship. As far as explaining when and how that line is crossed is up to interpretation. However it's clear to me that both Cloud and Tifa seemed to have passed the friend/family/sibling line a long time ago. I think this came about when Cloud and Tifa had that experience in the life stream. In the life stream they looked into each others very soles; their very being. They had heard each others voices and Clouds most deeply hidden memory was about Tifa; How he wanted to be strong and protected her. After that incident they started to treat each other differently. I think they love each other more then family, siblings, or even lovers; They love each other like sole mates; bonded together by their very soles. (I think I spelled soles wrong sweatdrop Oh well)

3nodding Since that lifestream scene, everything did change, not only that, but Cloud's whole personality warped. He was finally his own person, the Cloud the Tifa knew from her childhood, the one who had strong feelings for her. And Cloud's personality just started developing then, as illustrated in th novel. I agree that Cloud and Tifa are connected, very deeply through their souls. blaugh Since they revealed their own weaknesses and found each other through the chaos.

I have my own views of that lifestream scene but to each their own.
As for the /highwind scene... I only played that scene once a long time ago and my couple of FFVII is now in Afg. because my brother wanted it while he was out there but I do remember seeing it again on an old anti-site. I'll see if I can track it down for you... or ask my brother to play through it.

i no its just the fact that cleris says he cant move on to tifa but can with aeris wens shes dead is just well....sad and pathetic i mean he can never hold aeris, kiss her and if i go any farther i could be breaking a rule while tifa is his best friend and they can dam well move on NTS OUT!

And, I guess Amy's got a point. We can't compare ALL Cleris' by the extremist, but the same goes for RxH. She says that the Cleris she has had the misfortune to meet have acted that way to her and Cloti.

Guess it's a balance, man. Need to learn when you shoot a little baretta, and when you pull out the shot gun and blast it. Cause with a baretta, you hit one target, and are able to hit them with one by one so you're sure you only hit the people who deserve it. Get a shot gun, and blast it, you will hit your target, but you may go too far and end up blasting some innocent people.
