The last few months I've eagerly anticipated the birth of my third niece. I fully expected to show you all pictures of her in this thread this week.
I found out last night the baby was stillborn.
I'm going to see my sister tonight to show my support. If I seem testy or unfocused for a while, you'll know why.

Jimaine Szardos Jaeger_Ayers Miguel OHara Actually, no. I'm going to be going into the Navy next year, as soon as I can meet the weight requirement sweatdrop Guess I'll see you sooner or later. All Navy folk have to come to Norfolk sooner or later. You have no idea how much I both love and hate this fact. gonk We get people from all over here. Everyone shows up and claims to hate it, but it's amazing how many people stay in the area when they get out of the service.

Oh no. *hugs Lar*
You need anything at all, you let one of us know, all right?
Jaeger: My dad's Air Force, so we've never been to Norfolk save the occasional visit. However, The One That Got Away is in the Navy. And while I'd love for him to be closer, it would also cause much more anguish between the two of us. Both being gay, but him unable to pursue anything because of his job.

My dad and brother were both Air Force. Sorry about TOTGA. Navy has a way of pulling folks apart.

A couple of days ago we had to put down my cat, Noel. He was about sixteen years old and all of a sudden he got really weak and was suffering so we decided to let him go.
I grew up with that cat and I really miss him, but I have to admit, it's nice not having to clean up his litterbox.

Friends of mine are going to try to have a kid the same time we do. We're all planning to trainthe babies to use the litterbox. Figure were have to clean it out anyway. Then we'll toilet train the babies and the cats together. It'll be a bonding experience.

I swear, this whole havin' a kid at the same time requires way too much planning. rolleyes I'm imagining the phone cal now.
"Hey Brian. Yeah. The all things are go here. Bang her." xp
Now I'm being told I have to be in the delivery room for the birth. neutral What happened to the good old days where the guys paced the floors in the waiting room smoking cigarettes. Stupid progress. evil
Oh well, I guess since I won't be in the room for the conception I might as wel be there for the delivery. xp

When my nephew was born, I had to wait nine hours in the waiting room. It was worth it, though 3nodding

And that's where we differ. To me, the delivery room is for doctors and the woman with the renter. Waiting rooms are negotiable. The ideal place to celebrate birth is at the afterparty, where all the really squishy bits have been cleaned up and there's less chance of making a mess on the floor.
