You know your obssed with POTO when youve seen the movie atleast 10 times!

((Iv seen it 13 xd ))

I've seen the movie too many times to count. Once I evern sat there and watched it through TWICE in the same night. One right after the other. I'll even put the "All I ask of you" chapter on repeat on my SPECIAL EDITION DVD so I can hear the song over and over and over. Sad huh.

That's nothing ;D I'm not even going to get into how many times I've seen it and at what frequency I watched it at the height of my movie obsession, but let's just say that I'm rather disappointed with many phan's "times seen" counts. Very disappointed indeed! Not that you measure a phan that way, but still. Go redeem yourselves! lol

-Everyone you chat with on an almost daily basis, whether they have ever seen or read any version of Phantom or not, knows the Phantom's name is Erik. And those who have no idea who the Phantom is(Amazing there is such a thing, isn't it?!) have learned that Erik is something you just don't question.

-If you don't understand something, people know the most effective way to explain it is to relate it to PotO.

-You don't doubt that everything, somehow, can be related to PotO.

When you saw the movie 10 times while it was in theaters, and would have seen it more but the theater refused to let you.

When everything does re;ate to PotO, and yet no one else can see how (orange marmalade, for example)

-When your over summer A.P. English essay about the Bluest Eye turns into "Mrs King! Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera displays higher levels of critical lthinking and has the undying themes of the old classic books. We should read it after the A.P. Test!"

-When you decided that in the future you're going to become an English teacher and make your students read the book, and then watch the musical, and then wrtie a comparitve essay on it.

-When you dress up as Christine on Halloween when it's 20 dgrees and snowing....ahh, trick or treating.....free candy.

-When you can sing the songs in French whiel they're playing in English.

-When you go to Paris for the sole purpose of seeing L'Acadamie National de la Musique......very guilty of that one!

-When you buy tickets for the show alf a year in advance.

-When you start putting together a Phantom of the Opera Marching Band Show! And the beg Mr. Sullivan and say you'll even write the drill for it! Stupid Mr. Sullivan.... scream

-When you start writing a Saint Seiya/ Phantom of the Opera fic and then draw all of the Saint Seiya characters as their POTO roles....don't ask.

-When you're washing dishes at work and start singing "Think of Me" very loudly when no one else is in the store wink

you know you are obsessed with PotO when
-you go trick or treating as Erik and suddenly know how Erik feels on the guild's front picture
(guilty)
-you go trick or treating as Erik and your girlfriend goes as Christine
(guilty again)
-You have characters in anime roleplays performing PotO and the surrounding event suddenly start to parallel PotO
(*shifty eyes* Aaactually this occured before I saw Phantom... I saw the movie halfway through this RP)
-You plan to make your own version in film and get hyper excited when for this version you find out that the person you want to cast as Christine knows how to sing Faust
(Story of my life here...)

When you have a file on your computer labeled "Phantom of the Opera" and inside you have countless pictures, random art, icons, wallpaper, etc. ^__^

-When you scare your coworkers with your PotO knowledge (guilty. Someone mentioned that they thought there had been a movie before the 2004 one, and I listed them all (well, all the English versions) and who played Erik in all of them.)

-when you meet someone through a friend and they say "Oh! The Phantom girl!" (guilty. <3 )

When you yourself are so obsessed with it that you get your 3 year old neice obsessed with it. Funny thing is she knows most of the words to aaaaaaaalll of the songs now. *smacks self in head with the palm of her hand* I have to admit though, the kid has good tonal memory. 3nodding

You know your obsessed with POTO when you burn you house down so you can reinact the scene when the opera house burns down for your friend, then start singing all the parts in "The point of no Return."

...when every night you fall asleep to the movie and it will repeat on its own then dream of Erik then in the morning set the movie so it will end right when the bus comes for school then listen to the original cast recording on your ipod on the bus ride then listen to the movie soundtracks during school and have it taken up by the teacher and take it back after you punjabbed him then after school read the books and turn on the movie, sleep and repeat everyday for the rest of your life.

When you teach your younger brother (who's nine and just barely can pass as a tenor) to sing Erik's part to all of the songs in the musical so you have a partner as you sing Christine's part, and end up making him cry when he messes up a note or a word. (poor little munchkin, i guess I was being a little too hard on him)

When you search the tank of goldfish at the pet store for a black goldfish with a white spot over one eye so you can name him Erik and give your roommate one more reason to think you're nuts.
