"Artificial.." He replied, choking up blood once more, while it slowly leaked from his mouth. Hm. Glancing in their direction, he twitched, and brought himself to all fours, rear set to his calves, while he debated on moving over to get the larger Kitty off of Kiyoshi. "******** kill him, I'll shove that knife up your a**..." He snarled, listening for them all...his vision wasn't setting well, now there were...what, four, five Kiyoshi's and Kitty's? He couldn't find the real one, nor did he know of the Kitten above had moved into hiding after he glared or not.
Somehow he doubted it.
Damn it all.
Shifting upwards, he shoved forward quickly when he heard the shot, though...he couldn't outrun a bullet. He Froze, and collapsed once more, hitting the ground face-first, and going silent. He had been struck just below his left shoulderblade--luckily, though, it hadn't hit his heart. He needed that, despite his vampirism...ness.
Damn--he shuddered, then blacked out. Fun stuff.

Kiyoshi whimpered again, "No,no s**t..." His glare turned cold, "What the ******** have you done! You killed him!"
He shoved the bigger Kitty off of him, rushing toward the other vampire and kneeling near him. "Samael... wake up, please... please wake up." He started to cry, leaning over the other and trying his best to make the other heal a bit quicker.
"You'll pay for this... you will."

It was no kindness or mercy through which the cat allowed Kiyoshi to escape his knife - no gesture of sympathy to the affections staining the two... creatures, whatever they were. It was closer to guilt, though for it to truly be an emotion of that variety he'd have to feel some compassion for these creatures, when in truth he felt only a certain regret.
Something, somewhere on down the line, had gone wrong. These were not the vampires he sought, not the variety - artificial? That was man's own evil then, not something punishable by his own hand. It didn't matter now whether the unicorns were murderers, criminals in any other sense - they weren't under his jurisdiction.
He didn't question this new conviction either. It was clear now that there'd been a miscommunication - the 'vampire' Samael had fainted. Vampires, to his experience, did not faint. Unless they weren't going to wake up for another couple decades. In which case the wounds he'd sustained should not have wrought such an effect. No... they'd been fooled. Or rather, he'd been fooled, as the kitten had had no prior experience to combat the false information with.
"I suppose I will pay, if some other decides I must," the cat murmured, approaching the fallen Samael and... hm... he supposed Kiyoshi was hoping to threaten him. Pity he didn't feel the remotest bit concerned. Not over the blue's ability to retaliate, at least. "There seems to have been a... mistake..." not an apology, an acknowledgement - knife still held visibly, but apparently only because he'd get blood on his clothes if he put it away just yet.
'the ********? NO. NO. ******** NO. He was not seeing this and he was--aaaaaaaaaaaaagh! "Is he dead?" Darcy snapped from his perch, doing everything in his power to keep his cool - though the tightness in his voice made clear how quickly he was about to snap. What. The. <********>. Went. On. In. That. Idiot's. Head? Was it contagious? God forbid it was contagious. Hell. He was so shooting the lummox next.

[] Time skip~ Since Samael is down for the count and the kitties will go boom after a bit of...problems with Kitten, thar, I assume. o_o []
Blah. This sucked. He growled, laying in one of the two beds within the hotel room they had managed to get. ********. Frowning, he laid on his stomach, single arm crossed under his chin, allowing him to rest...slightly more comfortably. Not really, no. Kiyoshi was...somewhere. Again, ******** if he knew where the unicorn wandered when he was 'out'.
But...something was bothering him. Why the hell had those hunters come after them? How had they known where to search? The thought of the demon came to mind once more, and he twitched in slight irritation. Shifting slowly, he began to raise himself to a sit--his ribs hurt. Probably from the gunshot. Had it pierced his lung..? Eh. Healing had become a painfully slow process, despite it going quicker for him than normal mortals. Tossing his legs over the side of the bed, he snatched up his shirt--and dragged it on.
Once up, he stepped over to a bag...Where he dug for a moment, removing a smaller bag..velvet-looking in texture. Tucking it into his pocket, he ditched his trench coat, and headed ******** demon was going to get it. Now...where would he be..?

Christmas in the air and what-not, which was... decidedly not the feeling he'd been getting for the past couple of weeks. Because sure as hell there was something hanging about, but it wasn't the holiday spirit. He didn't think. Despite his less kosher tendencies, Marks got something of a kick out of recognizing the Holiday season, usually in the name of sending 'fun surprises' to his 'favorite people'.
But... that wasn't it. There was something.... he was missing... familiar, too. And he didn't like it one bit. Which was fairly typical, come to think of it. Just. Something out there...
Add to that the fluctuation in--hell if he could understand what was going on 'round the Townhouse anymore. And he was back to tottering there too, not sure if he wanted to think about it or was pushing to avoid it, full throttle. Damn the kid. But he was pretty sure that wasn't it either. Just... something.
So out he went, into the streets again under the pretense of... hell if he knew. It'd become wandering by this point, remembering that cold actually meant something all over again, wondering who he was most interested in passively threatening this season, .... it wasn't working. Just that something, lurking in the back of his mind... Dodging his footsteps every inch of the way, all out to wherever he ended up on these ever colder streets.

Shuddering slightly from the cold, despite his long sleeves and such, he continued on...Now, where would Marks be? Somewhere random. Tempted to check M'lady, but somehow...his mind doubted it. Lowering his ears, he glanced around the busy streets, dodging people as they came--paranoid of getting hit in his wounded shoulder, or backed up into his back. Damn pain. He hated it, yet he could love it. It proves he was..well, still somehow living.
Sighing a bit, he was damn close to giving up...it was cold, and he ached, which made it suck even more. Ears perked up a bit, and he glanced around once more time--settling his eyes on a certain point of a crowd. Hm. He couldn't quite tell...if they were familiar or not. Maybe landing, practically, on his head out of the ******** tree screwed with him.

Catching a glimpse of what he thought might possibly... hunh... Events cycled, trickled back through Marks' mind as he paused in the crowd, drawing nearer to its edge - a fish swimming backwards in the surge of shoppers - had that been...
He hadn't really thought about it recently. Though it now occurred to him that it might very well not be Samael and that Samael might very well be dead. Peregrine had no reason to drop him a line, let him know what was up with the hunt or whatever. And he had no inkling either way whether the unicorn could survive whatever the younger Kingsley threw at him. Something worth finding out now, though, his interest piqued and so forth.
Breaking out of the rush, he stopped directly in front of the unicorn in question - was this the something that'd been bothering him? ...Nope. Not the same. But interesting enough in its own right. "Heya, Sammie," he purred with a grin, hands slipped into his pockets, "You're looking a little worse for wear - you trip into a meat grinder or what?"

Oh. It was him. His expression changed to minor anger, though he began to hide it when the other approached. As the other stopped in front of him, he paused in his steps, and frowned. "..Where the hell have you been," he grumbled, and kept his anger down as best as possible.
Oh, he knew. He twitched, "..Marks," he replied blandly, finally giving the 'greeting'..not that he felt the other deserved one. He took a deep breath, and closed his eyes...before baring a fang. "Something like that," he snapped, and glared up at him. "Just got shot a few times." He hissed lowly, so no one around them would even give a passing glance.
Fingering the bag within his pocket, he set his hands back into his own pockets silently.

Hunh. Marks blinked a few times, giving no indication of understanding for the first moments - shot? Weird. How effective could that possibly be against a vampire? He'd thought better of Peregrine - well, no, he hadn't really. Just seemed a little... you know... stupid. Though shooting was probably effective enough on the half-vampire-creature-thing that Samael was. Only as Peregrine hadn't known that, shooting had to be marked down as sheer incompetence.
"That makes my week sound boring," the demon mused, unsympathetic to a fault, "You have fun with that?"

A wicked grin spread over his lips, "Yes...very exciting," he mumbled lowly, and reached into his pocket. "I did...manage to pick something up for you, love, though." He chuckled to himself, mainly, and bit onto the edge of the bag's opening, not able to move his shoulder enough to really work with it. Untying the bag, he took it from his mouth, and smirked to the other.
Huffing slightly, he grabbed for the other's hand, dropping the bag to the ground once he took hold of the ring inside. Sheer silver with random, darkened etches of...symbols, maybe? Who knew, it was a bit too tiny for one to read without focusing on it.
Gripping onto the other's wrist a bit tighter, he pushed the ring onto the other's index finger...gave a tug to make sure it couldn't come off...and smiled. "You're it." He stepped back, tail lashing about behind him.

'the ********? Marks watched Samael closely, a very odd expression crossing his face - what was this supposed to be? Okay, so Sammie clearly had the basic idea, that the hunters had been the tag - no worries about misinterpretation there (no fun either, but whatever) - was this supposed to be...
Hell. Uh. A joke? Maybe? "You know this is supposed to go on the ring finger," he snorted somewhat patronizingly, attempting to move the ring from his index to--well s**t. Marks tugged at the ring again, puzzled but not yet concerned that it'd failed to move. Okay... Was this some sort of binding marriage proposal? Because yes, that was one hell of a way to tag back but it just seemed a little... ridiculous? Out of character? Uh...
"Irremovable fashion accessory. Thank you, Sammie," he muttered, continuing to tug at the ring but now looking towards the unicorn, one eyebrow raised. Clearly didn't see any threat to the situation.

"Mmm..Maybe a promise ring," promise to put him through as much pain as he was. He reached his uninjured arm up, running through the other's hair with a chuckle...When someone wandered by, though, he twisted--and pushed them into Marks' side, not so gently, either.
The man glared, and he smiled, of course, before the man sped up and went on his way. Now, to make sure the accessory worked, of course--the contact had been harsh enough, since most were bundled up...and he couldn't set it off, sooo.

Okay, still not getting it.
Funny though, how every time things got remotely intimate with Samael he found himself in pain. Nice to have fingers in your hair - been a while since he'd had that sensation - not nearly so pleasant to find out that contact with a stranger, something so everyday as a push or shove could be so--
Marks staggered at the point of contact, conflicting instincts of surprise at the sudden surge of agony slicing, dicing, spreading in firey, unstoppable tides through his limbs. He had never, ever wanted so badly to be numb, not even--no, no there was something worse than this, but--This was pain. ******** hell this was pain. But what--
Demanding silently of his body that it had better keep its ******** balance, the demon took two shuddering steps forward as the laced lightning of affliction began to recede --what had happened? Had he been set on fire? Had there been some sort of explosion? His vision had gone bleary in that instant and in its return he saw... no, nothing - everything the same, intact - Samael standing before him, poised, smiling.
This wasn't death. Death didn't hurt like that. What--the ring. Had to be--with a snarl starting with a baring of teeth and hidden at the back of his throat, Marks took another, now threatening step towards Samael, limbs still stinging with the muscle memory of the unknown agony. "'the hell just happened?" he growled, well aware how much of a show this was--that hadn't just been pain, he... it wasn't gone, he wasn't suppressing it, it came in waves, he was going to fall again--this wasn't going to end--

Ah, yes, the electrical surges. Lovely. Like a taezer--twice it, maybe. Watching the other, he didn't expect such a shock. Guess he had shoved the stranger too hard against him. Depending on how hard one contacted him, the electrical surge would strengthen or dim...He chuckled when the other forced himself to keep his balance, licking his lips in his...sick amusement.
Blinking, though, when the demon straightened back up, and looked towards him. He smiled innocently, watching the other approach him. At least he hadn't grabbed him. Then he'd feel a damn good amount of pain. Ohh, he'd never heard the snarl before..frowning, which was fake, he arched a brow..."What did it feel like? I've never felt it before, personally." He smirked, and approached the other, pushing the demon back a bit, so they were closer to the wall of the buildings behind the demon.
"Did it hurt..? I'm sorry, I should have found someone smaller," he chuckled, eyes glinting, while his hand rose up to run into the other's hair once more. Yes...it did seem to turn painful right before they got intimate, huh? "It should stop soon...the numbness, it only comes in small doses." Rubbing his scalp, he laughed quietly, leaning up closer to him, "Now you know how I felt."

Well, this was a great thing to walk in on... Kiyoshi took a deep breath, but couldn't stop the biting comment that came forward, "Get a room, seriously."
He walked over and stood next to the two, a simple glare on his face, "Where the heck did you go! You shouldn't be walking around yet... you haven't healed... which is weird... but still. You're still really hurt, Mas... Samael." He said, giving the unicorn a pointed look.
He turned to Marks, opening his connection between the two of them quickly, simply to gage what the other was thinking. He felt... well... pain, a great deal of it actually. And a shock and a bit of anger. He laughed inwardly. He probably deserved it.
