Shinju entered the archery dojo and smiled serenely. I love archery but I've never actually had a teacher. Shinju thought, I wonder how different it'll be to have someone instruct me in the proper form. "Sorry to interupt, but are you the sensei of this dojo, Draakair-sama?" Shinju asked.

He had a longbow with him. Hickory, draw length of 28 inches. Torque of about 45 pounds. He knocked an arrow to it, aimed past the side of the target, did a side-ways flip, fired, and landed on his feet, hitting it a milimetre off the center. "Darn it...I almost had it..."
He got lined up just off the side of the target, and did it again, hitting it only half a milimetre off. (Wow..That was one thin and sharp arrowhead..
I took the sort of characteristics from my actual bow with the 'creation' of this bow, for the record.

He watched Mazarith shoot. "Mazarith right before you shoot, you keep tilting the bow. Keep it straight and don't forget to account for the wind and you should get it." He then turned to Shinju. "Yes, I have the sensei here." He put the practice bow back sat down at the small table. "Please sit down." He started to brew a pot of tea.

Shinju smiled and did as Draakair-sama instructed. "I was hoping you could train me in the proper form of archery." Shinju said, "I have some experience with a bow but it is completly self taught." Shinju then pulled out her short bow, along with a small quiver, from the many folds of her dress. The bow and arrows were roughly made out of tung oil tree; while the arrow tips were made out of quarts that had been covered in wisteria seed oil.

He glanced over to Draakair.
"Actually, this bow is supposed to be tilted when firing. But I'll give it a shot anyway."
(Seriously, longbows are. I took this from the characteristics of my actual longbow, and it's supposed to be aimed at a tilt.)
He did as Draakair said, repeating and not tilting the bow. There wasn't even a slight breeze. It was exactly as it had been the first two times.
When the arrow hit the target, it had strayed to the left, barely hitting the outside of the target.
"Ouch.."
He retrieved his arrows, and went back to the spot, then knocked an arrow to his bow.
"Yeah, I think I'll stick to tilting it...."

((That is true, but for the particular stunt you are pulling while firing, if you tilt it, it will throw the arrow more off track then it already is.))
"Thats odd." He was silent for a second then laughed. "I'm sorry Mazarith. That was the trick target I set up for Ryu. It's set up to always make a projectile hit off target. Try another one." He then turned back to Shinju. "Sorry about that." He poured a cup of tea for her. "Now, I would be happy to teach you." He examined the bow. "Very nice. Some of the best experience is gained on your own."

He chuckled, then went on to a new target.
"Let's see here..."
He did the same trick he'd been doing with the other target,
and when he loosed the arrow, it hit the target dead center.
"YEH!!!"
He struck the air with his fist.

Shinju smiled and said, "I didn't know that. I'm self taught in most things and have very little experience with people. So most 'comon knowledge' is lost to me." Shinju then picked up the cup of tea and sipped a bit of it. "I can show you what I know if you'd like, but as I mentioned before I am self taught; and not very skilled."
