The point is, we're supposed to believe that getting Lana is more important to him than anything -- it should be more important than saving his bruised ego -- and even then he wasn't willing to tell her his secret. But he was willing to tell Lois over the littlest thing.
In your face, Lana.

That's true. I also think Lana faked her death because of the milk truck. But the producers may have tricked us, knowing that we would think Lana is alive with that whole scene. But the good thing is that if Lana 'does' die Clark can accept the fact that it wasn't ment to be. Like the time she died in the car crash in season 5 'Reckoning'. Someone else close to Clark could of died, but Lana was chosen. Then he HAD to go and save her and have his dad killed crying Anyways, getting back on topic Clark needs to move on. And when I say move on, I mean move on and get with Lois for heavens sake.

The milk truck seems to be the epicenter of scandal... The thing is either she is "dead" or she isn't. Either way Clark has run out of Lana Lang "Get out of Death free cards." If Lana survives then it is on her own accord and if you ask me to produce scandal and suspicion i think that they will let her death slide for a few or more episodes... Like the whole Chloe's "death" in season 4

`Chloe Sullivan` The milk truck seems to be the epicenter of scandal... The thing is either she is "dead" or she isn't. Either way Clark has run out of Lana Lang "Get out of Death free cards." If Lana survives then it is on her own accord and if you ask me to produce scandal and suspicion i think that they will let her death slide for a few or more episodes... Like the whole Chloe's "death" in season 4 I really want her to stay 'dead' for a few episodes also. It could be a huge wake-up call for Clark to snap out of the Lana-I-need-you phase. He really, really needs to move on. Grow up. Geez, its so annoying the way they drag it out. Clark has his whole life ahead of him. He has a destiny to fulfill. The Lana problems are only a hindrance to his progress as seen in the episode Labryinth. She was pulling him away from what he really was. What he's supposed to be. On a lighter note: I really hope that in the series finale, we get a little future epilogue of Lois and Clark working in the Daily Planet. That would be the perfect ending to the show, don't you think?

Actually, I think the death of Lana will prevent Clark from doing anything. "Without Lana, what am I going to do? There is nothing left in this world for me! gonk "

I mean, what is the point of even having Lois there if they barely have any interaction and Clark is all lovelorn for Lana.

SaberFireTiger I mean, what is the point of even having Lois there if they barely have any interaction and Clark is all lovelorn for Lana. There IS a point for Lois being there. One day there will hopefully be some Clois going on though. heart Lois makes Clark happy as you can see the different expressions on his face when she cracks a joke. I mean Lana is old news. Episode Crimson was a perfect example of how they are meant to be. Though the comment 'this is the present' was said because Clark was not ready to move on yet... So don't complain about Lois.

I think that Clark likes Lois just as a friend right now. I really don't think he is romantically interested in her as of now. Which really bugs me. Because in the comics when he first saw her he fell in love with her... Their relationship built up over time, But what made their relationiship so special was the fact that in Lois' world Clark was non existant and annoying and in Clark Kent's world Lois WAS his World... But in Smallville their relationship started off ALL wrong.

Yeah. I dunno, it kind of annoys me that Clark doesn't seem to have any real romantic feelings towards Lois yet. They hinted that there might be something there once or twice in season four, but then we got back on the Clana merry-go-round and undermined any development of Clois or of Clark's feelings for Lois.
I guess part of it is, when Clark falls for Lois that's it and there's no going back, so they want to cram all this other stuff in in the meantime. But whatever. Irksome.
