Chapter 103: ZOMGWTF CLAMP'S GONE CRAAAZYYYYYY! gonk I like it. xd Pity there's no new chapters till February. crying
Oh oh oh! But while waiting for Pikari's translations, I translated this all by myself, up through the first frame of page 9! And I only got 2 lines wrong! I'M LEARNING! Sides, those 2 lines were Fai, and he does crazy stuff to verb endings.
EDIT: This just registered with me.... "Really Kuro-sama, you notice all the wrong things"... what's THAT supposed to mean, Fai? eek

Pretty sure. I heard it from someone who says is was on clampnet or something like that. But I ain't THAT fluent in Japanese, so don't ask me to confirm that.

I think the thing I most want in this series is to see Fai break. I do't mean these brief lapses in happy-happy-joy-ness, I mean a full-out nervous breakdown, preferably more paranoid and psychotic than emo/depressed. Maybe I'm sadistic, but I'm also thinking about just how awesome the scene would be... I mean, here.
Kuro or something sets him off and he just sort of flips out, yelling things that make sense at first then start to be nonsensical babble and hitting people if they try to get near him and then just sort of collapsing in a pile of psychotic bibble. heart Come on, how cool would that be? That would be cool.
Syaoran: ... eek Ano... Fai-san....?
Fai: *mumble mumble* don't TOUCH me you ******** b*****d of a told you not to do that but you did and can't stand the snow too cold *bibble babble crazy-speak*
Kuro-pon: ...Figures. rolleyes
I ought to write a fanfic. Cept I can't think of anything that would set him off like that. It'd have to be a gradual build-up, like a continuation of what started happening in Shura-no Kuni when he thought Ashura had found him and he was getting all twitchy. 4laugh I could think of a final trigger that would push him over the edge, but it'd require Kuro-pon drawing the conclusion that Fai backstabbed Ashura. Then again, he has decent evidence to come to that conclusion... heh heh. Heh. I might do that.
But I wish I could see it in the manga. CLAMP draws such good I've-lost-my-mind-and-am-stark-raving-mad eyes.

Oh oh, I have a theory like that too! Except my theory goes a little different.
Fei Wong threatened to kill Fai if Fai didn't help him. Fai's a bloody coward, so he betrayed Ahsura-ou but didn't kill him because they were lovers (zomg, scandalous!!1!). Fai goes with them and stays undercover a while to collect information (know thine enemy- best advice ever). He has secrets, and he knows they're smart enough to tell, so he decides to play it the other way- letting them think his secret is his emo- because they'll be so distracted trying to figure THAT out that they won't notice his OTHER secret, that he's trying to kill them. He falls in love with Kuro-pon. Kills them. Gives Kuro-rinta something like the Ashura-ou Deep Freeze. Alternatively, he tries to get Kuro-tan to join him, upon which Kurogane goes '******** no' and kills him.
Seriously though, we haven't got much proof that he has bad intentions, but we have plenty of proof that he has no morals, and we also don't have much proof that we should trust him. Support following, if you'll take my words at face value, don't bother reading further.
Proof he has no morals: For one thing, he's running away WITH them, knowing full well it'll eventually make them just as screwed as he is. Also... well... just check this out. See? No morals. biggrin Last thing, episode 26, he hangs back to fight and lets them go to the castle because he thinks Ashura's there. But he doesn't warn them, or tell them to stay away- he just saves his own a** and lets them go to what he seems to believe is certain death. So much for loyalty.
No proof we should trust him: I can't prove we have no proof, but I know someone's going to point out that he does some pretty heroic things sometimes. I have an excuse for all! When he fights Primera, he's doing it because he wanted to make sure they believed he was on their side. This is the first AND LAST time he fights for them when he doesn't have to. In Otou, he fights Seishirou because if Syaoran came back and Sakura was dead/gone/hurt and Fai wasn't, AT LEAST Kuro-pon would be suspicious. Sides, Seishirou was going straight for him and he couldn't exactly run on that ankle. In episode 26, when he stays behind to fend off the Fei Wong minions, it's because he thinks Ashura is in the castle as I said earlier. As far as the fact that he usually won't fight at all? "Know thine enemy"- the less they know about his fighting abilities or fighting style, the more of an advantage he has when he finally betrays them.
So it's 100% possible (and 40% probable, I'd wager) that Fai is actually not on their side. Besides, some of those smiles are creepy as ********.

Clearly, Fai will stand up and stab Kurogane's exposed back. xd
Damn, I like that scenario, but we know CLAMP will never give them all that action. Syaoran's going to hog the moment.
...That makes me so angry. This is why I HATE hate hate HATE! the concept of "main characters". stressed But I'll spare you the crazy writer rant.
