how do you base your heavy weapon squads? do you put them on the 60mm base or do you do 2 of the smaller bases one for the gunner and one for the loader? i do 2 bases for my missile launchers and morters, and one bse for all the other weapons.

It was to my dismay that my favourite armies ( Witchhunters and Space Marines ) can be easily defeated or Easily Taken over by Them. I specialize in the witch hunters more than i do space marines or blood angels ect. It really depends on how you use them i suppose. The Imperial guards though stand a good chance against alot of good 40K armies.

In other cases, YOU decide who get's to be removed from play. Look, it's quite simple, the big bases for heavy weapon crews do not present new rules, just a handy way to present two models and a weapon on one base. No multi-wound crap, no two-wound things, just two blokes with one wound, one attack each and a heavy weapon they share on the base.

i think that it looks much cooler on one base because you can make mini dioramas

but i do think that it looks better on two bases when they dont have any huge weapons like the heavy bolter, lascannon, autocannon, mortor, ... you what it would have been simpler to put it looks better with the missle launcher

In other cases, YOU decide who get's to be removed from play. Unforutnatly there are no rules that state that the loader can just pick up the lascannon/Heavy Bolter/ Missle launcher. Me and my friends used to play this way for quite awhile before one of my friends got the bright idea to actually look in the codex and saw that there were no special rules for the imperial guard. If your heavy weapon guy gets sniped the loader will just carry around the ammo and never think to pick up the launcher. Dubyamn Pretty much. Honestly where do people get these ideas? People who sadly put too much thought into some of the more simple things of the Imperial Guard...

Objective markers can be anything. Cadian HQ comes with a wounded cadian marker, I believe. I just stick a few bitz from tank sprues to a spare base, myself... So it looks like an ammo dump or something. 3nodding
