I just watched episode 15 (the 4kids dub), and they totally cut out that Faust is a doctor! scream They talk about "his father", "other doctors," "family's clinic," and such. It makes Faust look like some rich kid freeloader! And when he's operating on Ren later on, he says he "learned some emergency procedures at the clinic". gonk gonk gonk : D Sure, 4kids can tell all the little children that he's a doctor and then show the stuff he does to Manta so that when little children go to the doctors they know what to expect. ((@_@;; C'mon now, remember, it's 4kids, they're going to be looking at it that way)). D : Maybe it'd just be too sad...Honestly, I dont think it makes much of a difference...but I don't work for 4kids so... <.< >.>;;

The Japanese version is OK, though, they keep everything. biggrin It's because little kids will ask, " gonk Mommy, what's a NECROMANCER?" And the mom will hear, " eek NECROPHILIA!" And then she won't let junior have Shaman King action figures. rofl
You know, I've noticed that when you watch Shaman King, Necrophilia seems kinda sweet. xDDD It's all because of Pai Long and Jun! And Faust and Eliza! I know! Isn't that hilarious? It's incredibly sweet, and fans of other animes just don't understand. With Faust I think there are more "undertones," though, because he's male and seems like the sort of person who'd be attracted to the "unconditional acceptance" phenomenon. Especially in the manga. whee
And I agree on that thing with the manga. I feel that the anime doesn't show how dedicated Faust is to Eliza. The manga had so many things the anime didn't. Takei hated the anime for a good reason. ^^;;

The anime and manga of the same thing are usually different. sweatdrop In both ways, something's lost about the story, so maybe that's why most authors make both.
