Getting more stencil artists recently. The mainstream blow-up of Banksy must be at hand. Either way, I'm content. Stecils really interest me and it'll be great to get to know more artists of the sort.

> 19. > Ohio. > Artist from birth and have always had an interest in "illegitimate" art, anti-art, art that broke rules of its time and saw that in modern-day graffiti.
I support graffiti because it satisfies my philosophy of what constitutes art and has my respect particularly because of its controversial methods and air of rebellion. If anything, the cases against graffiti that I have come across were more reason than anything else to participate, to be quite honest!
However, in that regard, I despise taste-less vandalism, shitty, narcissistic tagging, and vandalizing for the sake of vandalizing as well as graffiti for the sake of gang notoriety. I am all about the true principles and integrity of vandalism, not petty little "Hey look at me! I'm so cool because I wrote on the wall! Take THAT society!" Furthermore, spending ridiculous amounts of money to purchase bigger and better inks and supplies for your narcissistic tagging is incredibly lame, especially when you insist that you're trying to speak for the battered, neglected, and poor population of a city. When a city wastes its tax dollars to clean up after you, it's giving less to its citizens, homeless shelters, and community programs.
Art for the sake of art, not making the world worse, fame, or profit! Rebel against what is wrong, don't contribute to it!
