Hm, I'm Manorama. I first read the books because my friend said I reminded her of a book character. Soooo I read it, and became obsessed lol.

So my name is Carrie and I'm an 18 year old from Utah. Hurray...not.... I started reading Anita in my ninth grade year, so like four years ago. I started with Obsidian Butterfly, then read the rest of the series in order. To this day OB is still my favorite, mostly because of the awesome amount of Edward in it. I love him, he is by far my favorite character.
I am not thrilled about Anita's turn in life, but I understand that creates a more real feeling for her character. I just wish that in addition to her sex life we could get in some of the mystery and susupence, or nonsexual action, that first attracted me to the series. If I wanted porn, I could find it much easier.
I dabble in writing, but I can only dream of meeting Laurell's level of skill. I shall try anyway though. Um...no idea what else to say...Thanks for letting me join!
And Manorama, what character did you remind your friend of?

Hi, I'm Amanda. I'm 19 and have been reading Anita Blake novels since I was 16. I started w/ The Killing Dance not knowing that it was a part of a series, and then started from the beginning and haven't been able to stop reading them! I'm anxiously awaiting for the comic book to come out.
I love to write. I've written many stories, short stories, and poems...I've just been to afraid to publish anything. I have a really fat cat named FuzzButt (my boyfriend's 6 yr old cousin name her. sweatdrop ). I'm hoping to talk my daddy into letting me get an itt bitty kitty, but it hasn't worked. ::laughs:: Also, I'm only online during the weekends b/c I don't have a computer yet. But I will very soon!
But, my favourite thing about the Anita Blake novels is how LKH can weave an entire world and plotline around everything. It is amazing!

Hey, I'm Lindsey. I'm 15 and I've only been reading the Anita Blake series for...less than a year actually, but I'm totally hooked. I love the way LKH desribes everything in such detail. I'm a writer, but I don't think I'll be anywhere NEAR as good as her. crying I just finished the Killing Dance and I need to go get the others.

Hello all. My name is Patrick, and I'm from Seattle. I'm also ancient compared to most people in this guild- 24. Anyhow, I've had the delightful opportunity to read each and every book of the AB series, since my roommate thrust his collection at me and demanded, "read!" I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every page of LKH's delightful writing!

I'm a little late in making this introduction seeing as how I was accepted almost a month ago... XD Anywho, my name is Courtney, I'm 18 and from Texas, and I've been reading Anita Blake for almost two years now. I'm still on Danse Macabre though, even though I got it the day it came out. I absolutely adore the series and think Laurell Hamilton is a brilliant writer.

Hi, I'm FullMoonGirl aka Crysttyl aka Kim. I'm 39, live in MO (Kansas City, not St Louis), married 10 years, have 4 kids, and Anita has been a great fantasy retreat for me for a really long time. Once upon a time I ran a website that had a book recommendation section. One of the original members of LKH's fan club contacted me and turned me on to the books, so I've been reading them since about 1999. I've lost track of the number of my friends and family who I've infected with Anita-itus. smile Up until recently I had purchased every Anita and Merry book. I made a decision to skip the short story about Micah though. If anyone feels I'm missing the most awesome story in the series be sure to tell me. Anyway, Great to meet you all. Thanks so much for adding me to the guild.

Hi, I'm Kaday and I'm a huge LKH fan. A few years back a friend from work gave me Obsidian Butterfly as a Christmas present. He knew that I loved reading Sci-Fi and he thought I would enjoy the book. I was hooked. I went back to the beginning of the series and read them all. I also read the Merry Gentry series and anything else that LKH has written. The Anita Blake series is still my favorite. Thanks for accepting me into this guild and I look forward to getting to know you all. smile

Hey people! I'm actually not new to the guild, but I thought I'd write something here because I have not been on gaia in soooo long that I probably seem it anyways.
So yea, I absolutely LOVE Anita! Duh huh. I'm 20 and I live up in Mass. I've been reading Anita, ah for so long. I got into her after I guess the third book. Gee, I can't even remember when that was. But I actually just stumbled upon this book, saw that it was about vampires (which I've always loved), and started reading. Someone had given my mom like a huge bag of books because she loves to read. The book I found was actually one book that held the first three books in the series. I wish I still had it but I don't know what happened to it! Anyhow, I've been hooked ever since. Laurell is definitely my favorite author. I am also in her Yahoo fan club. smile And I will see you other fans around!

Howdy. My name is Dawn, I am from Utah. I started reading the books in tenth grade, after having two friends tell me how wonderful they were. I can't stand the latest books, I am half way through the newest. I think Anita, at this point, is a whore. I keep reading in hopes she gets better, or at least Edward will come in a shoot her brains out. Either way at this point.

Hi.. again. Since I'm almost certain I've been here before *cue spooky music*.
I'm a big Anita/Merry fan. I'm currently in the middle of Danse Macabre and can't wait to get my hands on Mistral's Kiss.. Though I'll admit I should probably re-read Stroke of Midnight. I kinda don't remember what was going on last XD
