A smile spread across Yuffie's lips as her shuriken burned the man's hand and forearm before being thrown back behind her. Not what I was planning....and not as big as I had hoped, but hey, a wound's a wound. She snickered as the man winced in pain, but then the reality of the battle took precedence in her mind once again. "Hey, guys, I'll be right back. Just got to grab my weapon!!"
She dove out of the crowd and dashed away in the direction her shuriken went. Her heart pounded as she searched every nook and cranny of the borrough, silently praying she could find the projectile before someone else got hurt. Dammit, where did this thing go?? There's only so far that it can travel; it couldn't have gotten too far. By the time the stress and adrenaline built up to the point she thought she was going to freak, she found her weapon, lodged between two unfinished walls in a construction site a hundred yards from the battle. With a powerful tug, she yanked the pinwheel out of its hiding place and dashed back to the fight.
"Guys!!! I'm back!!!!" The minute she made it back, both Saix and Marluxia unleash powerful wind attacks at the Heartless. Not wanting to miss out, she re-charged her shuriken and sent it on another deadly attack, this time going right through the enemy's chest, where his heart would have been. Just before doing so, she beckoned to the two men on either side of her.
"Leon! Cloud! Cut the emo-brooding crap and kill this freak!!"

"Sure, I'll watch him" Kairi knew Xemnas was having trouble, she didn't know what happened to cause this major change, but atleast the old, evil, Xemnas wasn't back.
She stummbled a bit when Sora suddenly started to run after saying they had to hurry, "Ok..." she blinked and ran to keep up with him so she wouldn't trip again.
It wasn't long before they made it back to the ship and the others, Kairi saw the blood behind Xemnas, though he seemed completely unaware, "Are you alright...? You're bleeding." maybe they should get him some shoes....

Xemnas lifted one of his feet off the ground, wincing as he found walking too long had injured the soft soles of his feet even further, rubbing gravel in the open cuts. His toes curled as he struggled to keep his balance. It didn't help when this new girl ran up to him. He weakly pulled his jacket tightly around him and looked at her.
"I want to get away from the scary ship and the loud noises," he reported as he looked sadly at her. "And I am uncomfortable and slightly cold... What can we do about this not-good feeling...?"

"You're cold?" Kairi blinked, "Well, we should get you some shoes first...and maybe a warmer jacket." she looked around, "I'll probably have to take you to a shop...doesn't look to be any around here...." Kairi decided it would be best to ask Sora for help, or atleast tell him they were going shopping. "I'll be right back" she went over to Sora.
"Hey, Sora, I think we need to get him some shoes...and he says he's cold. Do you want me to go ahead with him? Or wait for you guys?"

"Well, I was trying to talk to you before but you wouldn't anwser..." Cloud heard Aerith say with a frown, "You brood too much!" The blonde felt her metal staff hit him lightly on the head. It caught him totally off guard. When had she tried to talk to him? Had he been that absorbed in his thoughts, or as she called them, brooding? He lifted his head back up, which had been knocked slightly when she hit him. His bright, blue-green eyes looked at her, still slightly confused. He shook it off as she told him they were going.
"Leon! Cloud! Cut the emo-brooding crap and kill this freak!!" Cloud heard Yuffie yell from his right. Why was everyone saying he was brooding all of a sudden? The fact still stood that he'd been talking instead of fighting Greed. He pulled the tip of his swor dout of the ground and turned around as fast as he could. His sword was on his right as he dashed for the pink-haired-heartless. There were two other attacks coming. That heartless could possibly attack them all at once...could he?

Well, that was something that bore a little thought...Hollow Bastion - as far as he knew - wasn't safe, but Sora knew Xemnas, even though he looked like that, could very well kick some butt if he was pushed to it - he hoped. And Kairi, she had a Keyblade of her own, right?
Nodding slightly, the boy smiled at her. "You guys go first, then. I'll come and find you when this is over!" His eyes softened when he continued, more to the redhead, "Stay safe, Kairi, Xemnas."
With that, he scampered back to where the others were still facing off with Four, not drawing his Keyblades out this time. "Sorry, guys." He apologized. "There was a little thing I had to settle."

Yes. They were all attacking at once again! It worked on this so-called Gluttony, and now it will work again.
Die like the rest of your pathetic kind! Saïx hissed angerly in his mind, watching as Yuffie's Shuriken and Marluxia's Deathscythe was coming closer and closer to hitting Greed, who was still recovering from the heavy push from him.
Everything was turning around now! They were probably winning now!
"That's right! We can take him if we work together!" He encouragingly with a large grin. If only he had a berserk trigger right now and hadn't just recently used it on Axel. It disappointed him in a way that he could not rip the Heartless apart.
His eyes shifted to Roxas leaving Tifa's side, who looked rather surprised about something. He also faintly noticed a blush on her cheeks before her attention, he knew, was shifted from whatever was on her mind form Roxas to the fight at hand. Why did she want to fight? It made Saïx want to tell her to leave, but could not find the words to say them infront of everyone else. Ignoring it then, he shifted slightly on his feet, waiting for the Heartless to try and block and even dodge Yuffie's attack so that he could go in and get him while his attention was down; much like Gluttony.
Number Two or not, you're no match for all of us at once, Greed. He said mockingly to himself. The grin never left his face, which actually turned his apparence from the seemingly normal man to anyone who had never met him to someone who seemed was ready to see gore everywhere. As a matter a fact, that was just what Saïx wanted to see.
Xaldin backed off, standing in the distance and clear of any attacks that could have come at him. Hearing Saïx shout out to encourage the others, it made him smile. Yes! They were going to win, he knew it. These people...these men and woman who he had never even cought names of yet seemed oh so close to him now.
There were people who cared, even when they didn't even know him. Or did they? Xaldin thought back to the small talk he had with a voice in his head. What did it meant by Darkness? Was there something that changed him? Was there something with this name he choosen that had something he did not wish to remember?
To love and be loved in return? Who could ever love a beast? A mocking voice mused in his mind. At first thought, it was insulting. But...there was a hidden saddness within the first question. To be loved and loved in return.
He tried to think, but a sudden pain shot through his skull. Wincing at the pain, Xaldin brought a hand up to his forehead, leaning up against the wall of a building nearby Merlin's home. He felt as if the whole world was spinning before him. Only anger will keep you strong. The voice hissed, as if demanding.
The voice was...his? But why? When? He couldn't remember...the more he tried, the more the headache intensified.
Suddenly, it stopped. The headache was gone and he hazily looked up at the others. Xaldin sighed. What was all that? He didn't bother trying to find out, afraid the pain would return. He would have to ask around later about it. Maybe he would as Marluxia or Leon later. Those two seemed smart enough, so did that blond boy, Roxas. Smiling to himself, he felt releived that he could actually ask someone for help.

“Heh,” was all that Greed managed to say before the volley of attacks began. It was easy enough to brace himself and withstand Saix’s gust attack (though he was pushed back a good five or six feet). Though, like mentioned, there was a volley of attacks. He had to act fast if he would like to stay alive.
The Heartless’ eyes widened as he saw Marluxia’s attack barreling straight for him. He knew this attack all too well. Its remnants were left on the Destiny Islands cave walls. That wasn’t exactly something he wished to come into contact anytime soon. He was able to leap out of the way with his infamous speed and appear just in line of Yuffie’s attack. But at least this time he was moving. He was able to get out of the shiruken’s full blown attack but not unscathed. He felt one of the super-powered blades cut deeply into his left shoulder. The pain was unbelievable. His burnt hand found its way to the shoulder, doing its best to keep the blood in.
What was with these people?! What did he do to them? Speak to them? Give them leads? Help them? And how was he returned? He was bombarded with attack after attack. His hand was now crippled for short amount of time leaving him unable to wield his sword.
’Good Caesar what NOW?’ Greed’s mind screamed as the blond man came rushing forward. Now the Heartless was becoming bold. He hoped backwards and then disappeared once more. He reappeared in front of the door of Merlin’s home.
“Is this how I am repaid?” He shouted full of rage. “Perhaps your hearts best belonged where they once were! You have no clue what is happening… do you? Kill me now and all hope will be gone! I am your only hope!”

Ienzo felt his heart pounding as the battle continued on the outside. Each strike made his ears ring, the smell of sweat starting to permeate the air. A bright light shined through the crack in the door, the pure heat of it licking at his clothing as it passed.
What was that?!
The dark-haired teen took a small peek outside. Oh, it was Yuffie's shuriken. A moment flew by as the smoke cleared and almost immediately, the smell of something burning hit his overly-sensitive nose.
Eck!
It was the most beautiful smell of burning skin. How lovely. He only hoped that it wasn't anyone on their side. From all the journal entries he had read (and well, from first hand experience) they would need all the hands they could get. No pun intended, really. Ienzo waited for a moment before taking another look out onto the battle. The attacker, who he had heard was named "Greed", was nursing a very burnt and very mangled hand/forearm. Yes, he knew the two weren't the same thing, but they were very connected so they may as well have been.
But enough about body parts.
He took a glance around the room, looking for anything he could possibly use to launch at the man's arrogant face. Hmmm. There were some bottles of elixir, potions, more elixir, Cid's computer which he had been told not to touch (very adamantly), a stove, Pooh's storybook, a savepoint omg finally after fighting all those stupid heartless I CAN HEAL WHEE, Cid, Merlin, pens....., a table which he could never hope to lift, books, books, books, books, wood for aforementioned stove, a clock, some darts, feather pen, inkwell, darts, another potion, DARTS.
Wait a second. He could use those darts. Ienzo crept away from the door for a moment, not wanting to draw attention to himself. At all. Those darts were just laying there. That was probably some violation of children's safety laws somewhere, he was sure. But he could really care less right now. As he reached out a hand to pick up the darts, a messily scrawled note caught his eye.
"DON'T TOUCH MY GODDAMN DARTS."
Aha. So they were Cid's. That explained everything (including why they were just left so carelessly upon the table, not to mention on the edge where they could just fall off if one blew on them from the right angle). Ienzo blatantly ignored the note, he could always feign illiteracy later. Just as he was about to get back to the door, Cid caught him. Red handed, so to speak.
"Oi, kid! Don't be touchin' my goddamn darts, can't you $^&*()# read?"
"I need them."
"What in the flippin' hell for?"
Ienzo just stared at the cantankerous blonde man before resuming his walk towards the door.
"Oi oi! Imma speakin' to ya! Those darts are experimental, ya can't be foolin' around with them like some kind of toy."
"I know."
"Yeah, they ain't no--- Wait, ya do?"
"Yes."
"Oh, well er---"
"What do they do?"
"They're a narcotic based dart. So they make people sl--"
"Sleep, yes, I know. Thanks."
Perfect. Now all he had to do was hit the cloaked intruder.
That was all.
Really.
Crap, he didn't know a thing about marksmanship. Well, at least he could just hope and pray that the target got close enough for him to hi--- wait just one second. The teen peeked out the door and lo and behold. An a**. A Heartless a**. Well, that just solved everything, didn't it? He carefully opened the door, snuck out (all of two feet out the door), and promptly stuck one of those beautiful shiny darts into Greed's neck.
If this were a comic, he'd have bright shojo sparkles all over.

A sudden pain? In his neck? What was this?
The features of the world before Greed’s eyes began to slowly blend in with one another. Colors mixed with colors… shapes formed to create new shapes… The Heartless slowly teetered before he fell heavily to the ground, unaware of what happened.
The man lay unconscious on the ground, shoulder wound still bleeding without attendance and cloak swimming over his body.
The intersection had suddenly become very quiet.

What just happened?
Saïx was about to demand what Greed could have possibly meant by him being their only hope. But now stood Zexion. No, Ienzo. There stood Ienzo, over a very unconsious and asleep Heartless with several darts in his hand. Darts? Judging from what happened (and the apparent used dart still in the side of Greed's neck) those darts were some sort of Narcotic.
Well, that solved their problem right there! Saïx let go of his Claymore, which faded away moments before it were to clatter loudly to the ground. He walked calmly over to Greed, carefully lifting the unconsious man and heaving him over his shoulder. "Good job, Ienzo." He congradulated the ex-member.
This was perfect!
He remembered through the internet that he had contemplated with a fellow ally into capturing one of the Heartless members and keeping them hostage somehow. They wanted a high ranking member, and here Greed, their third-in-command fell right into their laps! Their plan fell through without even knowing it were to do so!

Yuffie caught her shuriken and prepared another attack, only to witness Zexion run out with a handful of darts. What the f*ck is he thinking? Cid is going to freaking murder that guy!! And what the hell will couple a darts do to a guy like THAT?? Her answer came soon enough as one of the small projectiles flew straight into the Heartless's neck, puncturing a major artery and, after a moment, knocking him unconcious, blood gushing from the wound.
For the next two minutes, the place was silent as everyone caught their breath from the intense fight. When the ninja's adrenaline went down to normal levels and she felt somewhat calm, she moved closer to Leon and tugged on the edge of his jacket. "Hey, it's probably not a good idea to leave him out here, bleeding like that. We should..." An intense blush spread across her face at the possible connotation of the statement "....I mean, someone should move him inside......and maybe tie him down, just in case."
She waited a second for his response and then inched closer to the fallen man. Now that her mind had calmed, she remembered hearing him saying something, just before he fell. I am your only hope. Well, what the hell does that mean? Are they fighting us or helping us? Bending down a bit, she inspected the wound and saw it was far more fatal than anyone could have guessed from a distance away. Whatever we do, it better be fast, he looks really--
A realization flashed in her mind, throwing off her train of thought. She turned around to face the group, her eyes wide with fear. "Guys!! How do we know this is the only one here? For all we know, this might be a decoy while the others destroy the castle or the rest of the town!!"

"I've already thought of that, Yuffie." Saïx calmly replied. He stepped into Merlin's house, holding Greed's limp body securely over his shoulder and placing him on the ground against the wall. He took the weapon from Greed, placing it away from Greed's reach for when he did wake.
Now Greed would be helpless with no weapons.
"Perhaps we should tie him up so he cannot run." He suggested, slipping his gloved hands into his pockets as he stared at the unconsious Heartless. "And when he awakens, we can beat information out of him. Tell him where they're hiding." He thought aloud.
We need to know who else is here...Like Yuffie thought, there could be more. He thought to himself and then sighed.

The commotion not too far away had captured Stitch's attention; which wasn't hard, considering his non-existent attention span. It definitely sounded like lots and lots and LOTS of things were being destroyed!
With a chitter of glee, Stitch scampered towards the area. He had been bored ever since the last war against the Heartless, and the pint-sized experiment had run out of things to wreck/mutilate and/or destroy.
Making his way quickly to where the commotion had been, he perked up considerably when he saw a bunch of familiar people, as well as a few he hadn't seen before. Finally, his friends!
He wasn't a stranger to that term, relatively speaking, but Stitch, as a general rule, hadn't had any real friends to call his own, and it was getting a little lonely.
They were entering Merlin's house, and Stitch followed. He saw a blue-haired man place some unconscious man down, and he stepped right over him to tackle the shortest individual in the group.
The one who looked like Sora! "Sora!!" And off he went with an assortment of excited jabberings.
~
Tifa blinked when Greed was knocked out, and had followed silently when they had entered the house. The fact that she had not been able to do a thing had made her frustrated, but she had gotten over it quickly.
Staring down at the unconscious man, she frowned as she started to search for something to bind him securely with. Normal rope would not do; he could do strange things with his sword, and if he could cut through them....
Rooting through the cupboards, she responded quietly. "We need a chain of some sort, not a rope....he might be able to cut through them."
And then they would be back at square one. Searching through them, she finally located a length of chain and held it up with a smile.

Today was just… strange. They had learned so much of these cloaked men… these Heartless… but it was almost too much to take in. Just this one Heartless, Greed, was horrifically powerful. And he was only Third? If their ranks followed powerful, the Second and First would be atrocious to meet. Leon would rather put those thoughts away for another time.
But drastic times call for drastic measures, right? Well, drastic measures brought out the most unlikely heroes… and that included Zexion. It was he who finally landed the last blow on Greed with Cid’s Experimental Darts. Leon would have to thank the blonde for his odd research later. Now the Heartless lay on the ground and unconscious. He remained uninjured from the dart but the wounds from Yuffie’s shuriken on both his hand and his shoulder. His hand would take time to mend but the shoulder continued to bleed profusely.
But it was odd how fate handed such an opportunity to them. Before he and Saix had spoken on how they could attempt to capture one of these Heartless and question them. At the time, it seemed completely unlikely. But now here they were with all they needed handed on a silver platter.
The man followed Saix and the rest into Merlin’s house and watched Greed be placed in the corner. Leon leaned to Cid, who simply gawked at the whole situation.
“Do you still have those Cuffs you were working on years ago? The ones you had tried to use to capture Heartless before we moved to Traverse Town?” he asked carefully.
Cid rubbed his nose with his thumb and thought briefly. “I s’pose I might…” The older man stood from his chair and loudly rummaged (to Leon’s displeasure) through boxes of junk. Soon enough, however, the blonde emerged with two magnetic cuffs.
“Thank you,” Leon snatched the odd invention before Cid had a chance to reply. He made his way to the humanoid Heartless and placed a cuff on each wrist. Once the second clicked in place, there was a quiet hum before the magnetic power took effect and both cuffs were instantly glued together. Those would be impossible to get out. Greed’s hands were also placed in front of him. Leon was more than aware of how the Paths to Darkness could be opened and wouldn’t want him escaping any time soon.
Leon stood up and looked back at Saix. “He won’t be going anywhere soon. We’ll have to wait for awhile before the narcotics wear off. And let us see how willing he will be to answer our questions before we start beating anyone.”
“Oh! Aerith! Do you think you could help with this shoulder wound?”
Roxas remained quiet the whole time. So many things to consider now… what was he going to do? Kingdom Hearts was gone? For good? What about the other members? Maybe they made it out safe… and these Heartless. How long would they have to defend themselves before they were safe?
Continuing to brood, Roxas too entered the house. He merely watched sullenly as Saix, Yuffie, and Leon took control of the situation that was neatly handed to them by Ienzo.
“Hey guys…” Roxas began. He was about to ask what should be done next when the boy was forced to the ground by an unknown voice screeching, ”Sora!”. Roxas rolled onto his back to see the small, blue creature. It’s large eyes sparkled mischievously as its appearance finally clicked in Roxas’ mind.
“Stich?! What are you doing here?”
