Neko Zombie SniperOne of mine is the turtle. I believe it's the main one, it seems to represent me well. If I have another totem it would be some form of cat, but I haven't looked that deeply into it as of yet. I actually didn't know you could have more than one, that's good to know ^.^
When I was in Hawaii a few years ago I was snorkling and a giant sea turtle ran into me... I tried to avoid him, but he was a much faster swimmer than I was, and was much, much bigger, and came up from underneath me. He was just eating the seaweed though, and paid no attention to me as I scurried to get off of him xD
My mom is actually the one who figured out the turtle is my totem.

I believe so... I think it really depends on whether or not you consider them an animal... but it can definetely be a mythical creature (such as a dragon), so I don't see why not.

I finally know what mine is. It just hit me! 3nodding the moth.
I was so excited and couldn't wait to share it with someone. lol I was so confused as to what my animal would be. Dogs and cats make me feel comfortable, so I was leaning toward one of those two for some time (moreso the cat because sometimes I tend to be a bit lazy at times XD) As comfortable as those two make me feel it just still didn't seem rightso i decided to give it more thought and I just stopped worrying about it. Then it hit me- A moth! I see them all the time and they seem to tug on my heart as though I have some sort of emotional connection with them. I can't believe I didn't make the connection sooner. *facepalm*

Lately, mine has been the Badger. But I don't feel it as much now, so I don't know if perhaps I don't need its guidance anymore and another has taken its place.
It came to me in a (weird and disturbing 0_o) dream that ended with my meeting a badger with 4 eyes and then only one eye in the middle of its forehead ..
And in the morning when I picked my deck of animal spirits cards to check the booklet about the badger, when I put it back in the box, one of the card fell to the floor, face down. When I picked it up, guess which animal it was...

after reading the first few posts, i guse my animal is the gargoil. If that even is an animal... I have many statues of this mythical beast, and i have one on my alter at all times. I find its protecting watch to be very comforting, not at all scary as some would think. So i am quite partial to the stone creatures that cover cathedrails.
My dream is to some day go to an old church on a rainy day, and hear the od beasts sing their glorious song. But it may only be a dream...^_^

I have a fairy stag for mine: A white stag with seven tines on each antler. I had hoped to have a wolf, or a cat, so I was really surprised to find him but it made sense in the end. Deer have always been a special part of my life, and sighting wild deer, especially bucks and stags, have been associated with many important events in my life.

Well, I'm not quite sure about mine. I know that my own cat Rose is probably not an animal totem, but more a familiar I think is the term, because she's always been a source of strength for me. As for animal totem/guides, I've always been drawn to white Bengal Tigers, and it seems like when I was younger, and even now, I see them in a lot of things. But this white tiger, I know she's a girl, because she's very maternal. Also I've started to become fascinated with the Red Panda as of late. Then there is the sea otter, and a kitsune. But these three I'm not so certain about. They're more recent, and not as frequent as with the tiger, so I'm not certain if they're newer, or just not as necessary at the moment as something else might be. So perhaps I have four guides, and then my cat is my familiar?

My first memory (which was formed before I probably SHOULD be remembering things) was of a black butterfly or moth. I think - from looking at videos of me as an infant and the house I was in during this vivid memory - that I must have been about 3 weeks old or so...I remember waking up and a black moth or butterfly landed on my face. I reached up to touch it and it flew away. I remember being slightly frightened by it, but I couldn't form words and I started crying, seeing my dad rush to me.
I looked up 'black butterflies' after seeing this topic, because it brought this memory back to me, but none of them looked right, so I typed it 'black moths'. One of the first pictures I got was of the 'Peppered Moth'. Right away, the full black version of this moth seemed connected to me.
For the longest time I thought a raven may have been mine, or a blackbird, but now that I think about it, I always remember moths having big connections with me in my childhood. Even now, if I see a small dead one, I feel a great sadness come over me.

To the Goddess I give my heart Hmmm, its so weird, years ago when I first started out I did a lot of relaxing and meditating and found out my Animal Totem was a Blue Jay....I used to see them all the time.....then after a while I never saw them anymore and I wasn't practicing or studying....when I read this it hit me.....My totem is now a turtle.....I am FASCINATED by turtles I love them....I even have a little stuffed one I carry around with me everywhere named Turtles (and I love her regardless of my age I may be 22 but I still love my Turtles)....I can't believe I didn't think of it before....I have a lot in common with turtles as well now since I am a pretty big shut in....before when I had the Jay I feel I was wilder and more out there....over the years I have settled down quite a bit...so it only makes sense that it changed to a turtle <3

For the longest time i'd searched and searched for totem animals. I'd done readings and extensive ... just... everything. I was never set when i saw the cards, i never felt things. Thing is, i never let myself feel anything. I wanted there to be a message without me looking into it.
My animal totem cards started this venture. Upon many readings, i finally did one i stuck with lately. Last year, i wanna say november or so, i did the reading with purpose. it gave me the same cards i remembered...
Dog, mountain lion, deer, raven, otter and hawk. Now the spread i'd done was a 7 card plus two, but it wasn't the other cards that struck me, it was the ones i'd drawn. But the cards weren't the things that made me realize these were my animals until a drumming meditation i found on youtube. It was a great meditation, and the first to actually give me a vision of any sorts.
A dog appeared to me. I sat to talk with him and then a puma came, a deer, and then a raven, an otter, and finally a hawk circled down. According to the cards, Hawk and Otter walk with me always. I believe in the hawk for sure, seeing as hawks have always fascinated me in every way, every time i see them in the sky here i can't help but stare. I know who my core animals are, and it makes me happy.
Happy enough to draw! http://i49.tinypic.com/2w4ivyc.jpg ^^
