t3h_haNakosamA im still on our team but im a little pissed off at our BD, guard sponsor, and the other BD cuz they only chose 2 captains instead of the usual 3 crying i was so sure that whitney, taina, AND diana would make it but only whit and taina are captains for next season sad Woah, that's really weird! Same thing happened to our colorguard too this year. We just got captain results today. But we also have a co-captain too and the other two (five soon to be Seniors tried out) are like faux-captains as well. But Pezlie I feel really bad for, because she really wanted captain and she didn't get it. But Mal did and I'm so happy for her! They'll all be working together anyway next year I have a feeling.

I'm cool with everything but it's my first year learning rifle(officially) and sabre. But flag I have to relearn everything because what I knew whasn't sufficent enough or something like that

Woohoo, a guard thread! This is exciting...
I've done flag for the past year and a half and I'm *sort of* attempting rifle. Just some simple things.
So does anyone have any tips for dance and just making field routines more exciting?
I'm a captain this year, so I'd love to have some new ideas..!

COLOR GUARD!!!!!!!!
i love color guard it's all i do *no time for anything else*
im a flag, cant really do much on rifle, and im trying to master the sabre
i named it bruiser, u can imagine y
im still in middle school but im in the high skool marching band cause they were low on members so they asked 4 or 5 girls from my middle skool indoor guard to be in it and i was the only flag asked
i applied to be a member of this guild so hopefully ill be accepted.....

I'm so happy.
It's my first fall season (I did winter and spring, but spring hardly counts, swings only) and I made rifle and sabre line. ^___^
I love it, it's awesome. You should see the gnarly bruises I have, too!

our choreographer has us doing such AWESOME stuff this year!!! 10 of the guardies are doing a couples dance w/ the drumline, who'll have sabres. there'll be some gymnastics stuff, like a cartwheel done by putting the nose of a rifle on the ground and flipping over it. some people twirl with hula hoops. there's lots of catching behind the back and 360 stuff (ouch, my bruises x3), and i get a solo toss on the first count of the show (5 or 6 on rifle xD)!! it's all so exciting!

this is my first year in guard, so i'm not very good - but i am better than i was: i can catch the flag when i throw it! we're doing music inspired by the lotr books...so we get to be elves and dance around as hobbits. we're also using a gold spandex ring, 2 differtent 6ft poles, a swing flag, dancing, and a bus flag...lots of fun stuff!
