Caroline really doesn't know how welcoming groups of gypsies generally are. This caravan was certainly welcoming--she knows that much! "No, it's no trouble at all! We love to see our caravan grow. That man over yonder--DeArca--Ro and I just met him today. I think he's planning on joinin' our bittie caravan." She nods toward DeArca and Rojiza. "And if you were told to look for a caravan, then I s'pose yer lookin's done, hm?" she inquires with a smile. "Wait here, I'll collect DeArca and m'ija and we can show you around. If ye've no wagon, ye're welcome to take up with us for a bit until ye come across one." Ro glances impatiently at her mother. Come on! She shrugs at DeArca reasoningly, as 'there's no accounting for tastes'. She finishes off her fruit salad, glad Caroline had already finished her own meal. She's anxious to be off--the lack of trees and greenery in these mountains was starting to get to her.

It was a relief to hear that the caravan was welcoming. Irina smiled and gave Caroline a nod. "Oh wonderful! I'll bet your caravan was the one he was talking about. I'm so happy to have met you. Coincidence is an interesting thing sometimes. Perhaps it was fate that allowed us to meet."
She looked over to the young man and the girl that she'd seen before. "DeArca and Rojiza? Good to know their names ahead of time...He's just joining up with the caravan too? Well, it would be good to meet him as well," she said, glancing over at the pair again.
"And I do have a wagon...it's at the other end of town with my horses."

DeArca was happy that Caroline was returning with her guest and he stood up. :You made a brilliant performance on stage, Caroline. I've never seen anything like it!" He nodded with a smile and turned to the new girl. "Evening, miss...I'm DeArca!" He said, holding his hand out after his short introduction.

"Oh good," says Caroline. "I'm a welcomin' soul, but a wee bit cramped." She smiles as they meet up with DeArca and Rojiza. "Irina, these are DeArca and Rojiza." She points to each in turn, tweaking Ro's nose lightly. "Rojiza's my sweet lassie. She doesn't say much, but she's a bonnie wee talker." She smiles at Ro's elicited laughter. Caroline nods in thanks at DeArca's compliment, blushing only slightly at the shower of praise she'd been given.

Irina smiled at the two, giving DeArca's hand a shake. "Pleased to meet you DeArca," she said, and then looked over to Rojiza. "Nice to meet you too Rojiza." She gave the little girl a wave, and was pleased to hear laughter from her. She seemed to be a high-spirited child, and fun to be around.
Turning back to Caroline, she gave her a grateful look. "Well, I think I shall join you, if you don't mind. I've been looking for a caravan to join. I thank you for your kindness."

DeArca looked at the new girl with surprise from her latest words and then crossed his arms. "Well, she's joining too? Here I thought I would be the newest. This is great, now I don't have to be the only newcomer for the caravan." He nodded, smiling as he turned to Rojiza, patting her head. "Now you have two new friends to play with. Isn't that great?" He asked, chuckling some to her. Now that Irina was here, DeArca was a lot more confident in joining the caravan now that someone was just as new as he was.

"This is wonderful. Come, let's get back to the caravan--maybe ye can meet some of the other gypsies, eh?" she says with a smile. Rojiza bats playfully at DeArca's patting hand.

"Well, I'm glad I'm not the only newcomer too. I was feeling the same aprehension that you were, I'm sure," she said, hoping to assuage his fears. She was truly happy not to be the only new new person, and she wondered about DeArca and his past. She'd have to ask him later about why he decided to join the caravan.
"It is wonderful! Let's go!" she exclaimed, excitement written across her face."

"I'll need to get Marko and my wagon but I'll meet you both back here in a few minutes!" He said, leaving the little restaurant as he ran towards the stable post in which he tied Marko to. "Hey Marko, we're getting ready to leave so I hope you weren't sleeping while standing!" He joked and Marko snorted as DeArca untied the knots. "I was only joking!" He smirked, pulling at the ropes. "Caroline said that eaten up carving that I found might actually be valuable so I'm going to be keeping it around. What do you think?" He asked and Marko stomped his foot. "Hey, don't be giving me attitude, Marko. I'll keep you around too...once I find a nicer mule that is and then I can trade you off!" He teased and Marko kicked back. He snorted and then pulled and DeArca laughed. "Easy Easy, I was joking...have a sense of humor" He laughed, leading him and the wagon back to the restaurant.

"Let's head out, eh?" says Caroline to Irina. She weaves through tables again, Rojiza trailing, toward the door after DeArca had left. They wait outside the restaurant for him, Caroline humming a little tune.

A bit caught up in the moment, it takes a few minutes for Irina to register that she's actually going to join this caravan. She follows Caroline outside, and watches DeArca run off, and then she finally snaps out of her amazment.
"Oh gosh, I might as well get my wagon too..." she said, turning to Caroline. "I'll be right back. My wagon's right down there," she said, pointing down the street, only a block away.
She lifted her skirts and ran down the street, eager to get her wagon and move on in. Untying Ivan and Natasha, she reigned them up and hopped up on the wagon seat, snapped the reigns, and turned back onto the main road, heading back toward Caroline.
"Guess what guys?" she asked, actually talking to the horses, who had been her only family since her parents had died. "We're getting a family! We're joining a caravan! I know I'm excited, so you should be too." And with that, she thought she could feel them trotting just a little bit more jauntily.
It took her only five minutes to get back to Caroline. She hoped she hadn't been holding things up.

DeArca approached Caroline, nodding to her as he pulled Marko beide him. "We're ready to go, Caroline. Whenever you're ready that is!" He nodded and Marko willied when he saw Rojiza again. He snorted and DeArca pulled at his rein. "You be nice or you'll get no carrots with your oat tonight." He said and Marko snorted, stomping some and DeArca sighed. "Sorry about that..." He said, looking up at the sky. "It's pretty late, are you sure you wish to leave now?" He asked.

"Oh, I'm not plannin' t'gettin' anywhere tonight. Let's go back to the wagon circle and ye can stable yer animals there and park yer wagons. I don't know when we'll get t'settin' off, but I hope it's later rather than sooner. I've family in the next town up that I wish to see and take wee Ro to meet. Rojiza, fascinated with Marko, pays no heed to her mother's words, except an ear twitch at the sound of her name.

DeArca nodded and looked down at Rojiza, smiling. "Want to hold his reins, Rojiza? I don't mind it and he's certainly not going anywhere!" He said and Marko willied again, stomping around. He was just being an a**. XP
