i want to get the silver whistle permanent item
Glen was excited. This was the first year ever he'd get to hand out candies to trick or treaters in his own house, and he had gone a bit over board; a dragon blow up in the front yard, some skeletons scattered around it, lights all over his front yard and porch, and to finish it a giant "TRICK OR TREATERS KNOCK HERE" sign. He had always loved halloween, and even if the kids wouldnt be impressed, he was. He had even splurged on the candy, buying quite a few bags more than necessary of all the good, popular candies.
As the evening began and the first trick or treaters came, Glen was ecstatic as he handed each child their candies and wished them a good evening, but as time went on, he began to see why his mothers never did it longer than two hours minimum, it was exhausting! And he didnt mean that physically, it was oddly mentally draining to keep up being cheerful through the evening, especially when the teens began daringly tricking people,he himself had been tricked at least twice and he was not happy. So much so that he killed the lights a bit early, but left the bucket out on the porch of what candy was left, and went to find his costume. Sure, this was petty, he was an adult, but these kids were annoying and he had seen more than one trick the little kids out of their candy before their parents could catch them. So, donning his costume, he made his way out for revenge.
He started with the closest set to his house, tripping them up right before they got their tricks, and running before they could give chase. He made his way through the neighborhood, snatching up bags just taken from little kids and giving them to frustrated parents, innocently pointing out the teens he had gotten them from. and heading further into the neighborhoods as shouts could be heard behind him. He decided outside of revenge, hed have some fun too, and would occasionally trick or treat at houses willing to give teens and adults candy, which there surprisingly quite a few of. He did this until maybe ten, when the majority of houses began to lock up for the night, and decided to call it a night himself.
He made his way home, pausing when he saw figures outside his house, and quickly ducked behind a nearby tree. It looks like the teens figured out who he was, and werent happy. At this point he was tired, and really didnt feel like the fallout of trying to fight some teens, so he simply, quietly walked a further distance away, calling the police and reporting his house was being vandalized, which wasnt a lie, hed seen the spray paint, and that he feared going towards his house and would meet the police on arrival.
And with that hopefully not long wait, Glen concluded his, definitely interesting halloween night. He was just glad it was normal for once.
