Ella listened to Henryk and Chloris discussing their venture deeper in, and couldn't really think of anything worse at the moment. She crossed her arms, slightly uncomfortable as she thought about the events from yesterday again, deeper in the forest where the girl was literally ripped apart in front of her. Ella was hoping the group could stay together, after all, strength in numbers were something she wanted right now. However, Chloris was adamant of venturing deeper, she knew that the girl wouldn't change her mind so nodded them off and turned to Remus.
A little smile appeared on her face, she just appreciated someone from the team staying with her. "Thanks Remus, lets go find a good place to set up then" she said, leading them through the thicket, she kept checking behind her to make sure both Remus and Colossus were keeping up - although she wasn't that fast, more for peace of mind for Ella. As they arrived, she looked around and stopped as Remus went ahead. She felt slightly nervous, and in an attempt to calm herself down, went over to Colossus and stroked his head gently, feeling the warmth of his hair made her a little more calm.
Ella listened to Remus explaining where the traps were set up, she followed where he was pointing to and nodding in acknowledgement of the traps locations. "You have all put a lot of thought into this place, its cool" she said, flashing another smile to Remus as she then turned back to Colossus and continued stroking him. "I wonder what things you've seen in your lifetime... it's difficult to watch people, die.." she mumbled as she spoke to the horse.
Ella wanted to ask Remus about it, but didn't really know how to approach such a negative subject. She had read about death in many books before, and thought she would be prepared for what it looked like, It was evident that this wasn't true. A stern frown appeared on her face as she stopped stroking Colossus for a brief moment, she was irritated at this. Books were all Ella really knew, she felt almost let down by something she had put so much time into, was it all a load of crap?

Once they reached the interior clearing where the base was Remus glanced back at the others. "Sure thing, you two be safe too." He replied while returning Chloris's parting wave. His attention shifted then to Henryk who also gave a parting remark. To which Remus gave him a look of _ before he waved his hand back and forth in front of his face. "There is no way you two will be gone that long." He stated flatly before returning the "See ya" Chloris had given with the same as the pair left on their gathering quest. He watched the wolf he sent with them pad off as well as it fell in along side Chloris. After they were out of sight he turned his attention to the only person left, Ella. He nodded to her statement and smiled at her before he moved off as if to say "Not a problem." After the immediate set up was finished and Ella had been warned about the traps he filled her in on a little bit of the details of yesterday. "Well we certainly think so. The traps were mostly Henryk's idea and doing; though I did help him a bit since my hands had nothing else to do. Keeping watch over things doesn't exactly keep them super busy." He joked halfheartedly.
With the trenching tool in hand Remus moved off then to make a fire pit in the center on the clearing. He attached the shovel head to the handle to shade the tool like a hoe or pick ax first. Hacking into the ground to etch out a circle before tearing it up to make the soil nice and loose. When he got tired he glanced over to watch Ella as he took a short break from the work. She had stayed with Colossus by the tree and was stroking the horse's fur. As he watched the pair of them Colossus lowed his head and nudged Ella in the side with his snout. Horses were pretty good at picking up on how people are feeling and they can be remarkably comforting. So Remus was thinking the steed was trying to comfort her a bit, but it could just be he wanted her to feed him. He was pretty sure it was the former given Colossus was now rubbing his head and neck against her. Remus went back to digging the pit. Turning the head of the shovel back into a forward facing position so he could remove the loose earth now.
***
Mean while, outside the clearing in the thicket, Chloris and Henryk had found a place to gather their goodies. Since they seemed like they would be there for a while gathering berries and the like and weren't likely to wander off the spectral wolf that had been with them picked a tree. It padded over to the base of the picked trees trunk and sat down. It's glowing blue eyes keeping a vigil of the pair as they chatted and worked. Their guard wasn't totally silent though. When Henryk popped the berries into his mouth just to get worried and ask Chloris if they were dangerous the wolf made a noise that sounded remarkably like it was laughing at the faunus boy. It was around about at that point that they were joined by another of Remus's spectral animals. It was one of the foxes he had sent out earlier. The animal poked it's head out of a berry bush between where Chloris and Henryk were standing. It looked at both of them in turn and then its head retracted back into the bush. A moment later it's bushy tail came out followed by the rest of the fox. As it backed out of the bush it pulled a large fern leaf out. The fern leaf was loaded with sand and gravel that the fox had evidently dug up from somewhere on the creek bed. There were a couple larger stones as well on the leaf. The fox let the leaf stem go and turned around before picking the stem up once more in its mouth. Facing forward now it resumed it's journey, dragging the fern leaf loaded with sand and rock towards their base.
***
With on last scoop of dirt Remus examined the fire pit. It looked good to him. Deep enough and wide enough to have a nice sized camp fire going. He nodded once in satisfaction before heading back to put the trench tool away. He paused a couple steps away from the fire pit as he saw one of the foxes he sent out coming back. It had a fern leaf in it's mouth loaded down with sand and gravel for the fire pit bed. He closed his eyes and checked on the other foxes. The next closest was the one with the rest of the fire pit bed. Seems it had just passed by the others on its way back. Remus stood around for a minute to watch the fox get to the pit and pull it fern leaf across until it fell in. Then it pulled the leaf up and out to leave the sand and gravel behind at the bottom of the pit. Remus didn't hang around to watch the animal hope down and start spreading the sand out evenly.
Colossus had stopped nuzzling Ella and was instead now just looking into her eyes with one of his own. It was a mysterious and oddly wise looking eye that watched her. The horse was hoping she felt a little better now after the affections. When she muttered her question to it he tilted his head a little. Though of course the horse couldn't talk back to Ella. Instead it was Remus's voice she was hearing. "It never gets easier either. Nothing can prepare you to see that, not even foreknowledge it is happening or having seen it before." Remus had happened to come up behind her as she had been talking to Colossus. If she turned around to face him he would give her a weak smile before reaching over Colossus's back to push the trench tool back into the pack. "I can't say for what all Colossus here has seen, but I know what I have seen. I told you on the beach when we first met that I was from Atlas. I left just before it all ended and I don't know what all happened there, but I know there was pandemonium. That included a few deaths that I could see, and a few you knew were happening but were luckily out of my line of sight." Remus looked up towards the sky as he sighed softly. His hands balled into fists so tight that his knuckles turned white for a split second. He relaxed before adding. "I hesitated yesterday too when the grimm came and got that girl. Perhaps if I had acted immediately things could of been better. I can only make smaller animals still but a wolf is enough to push someone out of the way. To pull someone back and not let them rush into a dangerous situation. But I froze up at the sight of death... It's not something you get used to or can prepare for. I think I read somewhere once that anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or no longer human. It isn't something you ever want to get used to."
Chloris could never find herself unhappy in the ram faunus's presence, and for that she was thankful. He had a positive effect on her as well as the rest of the team, which they desperately needed; she thought to herself. As they were now, she could only hope the other two would remain safely in the briars...Not that they could easily escape with the entry closed.
As they had walked, she had found it rather peaceful. Their wolf guard of sorts had walked with them, but she did notice it had taken a rest under one of the trees like she had, in order to make their baskets. She had just finished with the first when Henryk began speaking to her. So, talkative, she thought as she looked up at him, but would not answer yet. When he was finished, she looked up at him in concern as he ate the berries he had been holding."Please tell me you didn't eat those...Oh dear."
She looked and sounded concerned...though she would start giggling when she saw the boy freaking out, finally laughing then wiping a tear from her eyes. She usually was not so comfortable with jesting so soon, but it was just too good to pass up. She had even seen the fox, curious but figured it was just something Remus needed for inside the base. Her mossy-green eyes then turned to the tall young man and smiled."I'm sorry. Yes, they safe to eat,"She told him, her cheeks warmed and a little sore from the laughter she had been in. She then handed him the basket she had made."You may have this one, I'll make another and then I can help you...Maybe I should make something for collecting water,"She told him then seemed to get distracted by her own thoughts before sitting down and working the second stick into another basket.
After it was made, she would set her things by the wolf and start collecting berries with Henryk."To answer your question about semblance...I discovered mine one day in a neighbor's apple orchard when I was ten. You see, I slipped and fell from the top of the tree, and rather than hitting rock hard ground, I found a bed of moss underneath me. That was not normal, the moss I mean, it disappeared 'soon as I stood up. Another time I used it, I had broken a daisy stalk...cried too until I saw it mending itself. What about you, when did you discover yours?"She was a little hesitant at first, but found it comforting to talk about as they would gather berries in their baskets. Then, having grown curious, she had decided to ask about his, seeing as he had not used his in front of them yet. As she awaited his reply, she would continue to inspect and gather the berries from the bushes, looking over at their team leader every once in a while.

XXXWell, taking the road less traveled by made the difference. Right? Well, whether or not, that was the exact rode Rachel took. She was far too energetic to do the logical thing and take a boat or a ride through the sky. No no, not with what she's eaten today. She had way too much energy to burn off, and it would only lead to disaster if she was stuck in a confined area. So, the Megalodon Express took a detour through the outskirts, something that young Tsuki may not have been used to. "Heads up, Tsu tsu, we're taking the scenic route!" Buildings began to thin out as they approached the walls, before passing through with ease. Traveling outside was always advised against, simply due to the unmonitored dangers. When did Rachel worry about such a thing though? Never! She's even napped in the outskirts in preparation for classes and got out just fine. The only ones who needed to worry were the weak and terrified because those were both aspects that the grimm seemed to feed on. Something that Rachel was too meatheaded to feel herself. So, with Tsuki along for the ride, the woman would proceed into the forest of the outskirts.
Ah, the sense of familiarity was beginning to kick in. After all, with Rachel's rapidly moving and bobbing pace, it didn't take the woman long to reach the clearing that she hosted her class in. ... Something that had a set of unfortunate circumstances occur while she was in the midst of working with another student. There were still damages to the trees around as well as the ground that acted as a battlefield between a small group of grimm and the students in her class. ... If she had been here, she might've been able to save at least one of the students. Then again, if she wasn't, another student was sure to die on her own accord. It was a lose-lose situation all around, and Rachel had been contemplating the next series of classes as a result. Not now, of course, she was far too gone in her adrenaline to begin trying to think of 'studies', but a more controlled environment may have been necessary for the upcoming classes. "So, kit kat, what kinda classes you thinkin' of taken at Beacon? They've got a pret~ty wicked combat and survival class~ .. At least, that's what I've heard. That somethin' up your alley?" Rachel would poke back at her passenger with words, while a toothy grin was clear on her face. Rachel had been beating around the push about her association with Beacon, but still had yet to share her position in the academy's faculty. Honestly, Rachel was hoping to see the young tiger in one of her classes but knew it was a team vote at the same time. Still, one day!
... Rachel was never the most silent. In fact, she was probably more reckless in her movements than some of the beasts that inhabited these woods. Bushes would rustle and branches would snap beneath the force of her steps. She was practically beckoning for something to come their way, whether human or beast, with how much noise she was making. In fact, she had bolted past a familiar clearing with toppled trees before skidding to a stop, and backing herself right back up. That's where she saw it, an itty-bitty grimm in her eyes known as a Boarbatusk. That's when she got an idea, and a sinister grin crossed her lips. "Oi, Tsu tsu! Hold on tight, things are gonna get a bit wild!" With her words, she'd kick off the ground and hook one of her hands onto a tree branch while bracing her feet against the trunk. There, she would watch the grimm with her piercing crimson gaze. Watching, waiting, as it continued to walk by. Surely it would smell a disturbance, but... By the time the grimm would realise what was happening, it would be far too late. Rachel would begin to shift her legs, bracing herself more firmly against the trunk as her fingers tightened into the branch.
Though, something interesting caught her eye. The glint of light would shine from something pointy, actually... Two things pointy. Something red, and something gold. Oh man, this just got a lot more interesting. Her heart began pounding with excitement, remembering her previous hunt and how the man tasted ... Too bad she struck him too hard, and sent him flying. Now though, since he interfered with her hunt, she would do the same to his. Kicking off the trunk, the woman would launch herself into the air with the girl hanging off her shoulder as she stretched her arms wide to straddle the boarbatusk on impact, her crushing grip latching onto its tusk, bracing herself for it to buck. "Oi oi! Lancer, I'm gonna borrow this little s**t for a second, aight?!" Already, she could feel the creature getting livid from her attempt to mount it. Continuing to brace herself for what the creature was about to do, her legs would attempt to straddle the beast as her fingers hooked tighter on its tusk. "Wait wait, where's the cruise control on this thing!?!?!"
Hearing what sounded like the wolf chuckling was not helping matters! Hearing Chloris reaction to him eating the berries, his face paled and he turned to the side as he began spitting out the chewed berries. He even began wiping his tongue clean with his hands, dropping all the berries he had collected so far onto the ground as he did. "Ah! Why didn't you tell me they were poisonous! Bleh!" He yelled, not in anger but more in panic as he frantically tried clearing his mouth. He could feel the sickness taking place, feel the poison taking hold. 'I'm dying...my life is flashing before my eyes...I should have TPed the school sooner...Soo many regrets...like not being able to prank anyone yet.' He mourned for himself in his mind, a thousand thoughts going through it. He was still a virgin! So many things that he would never get to. So many dreams left unfulfilled. So many pranks never to see the light of day. In his panic Henryk didn't even notice the fox with its cargo pass through, frantically pacing back and forth unsure what to even do. 'WHAT DO YOU EVEN DO WHEN YOU ARE DYING SO SOON!?' He yelled internally. People who had days to live could at least plan a way to spend it. People who died instantly didn't have to worry about doing things, they were already dead. He was dying in the worst way, delayed just enough to not be instant but not enough to do anything about it. What did he ever do to piss fate off!??
However, the sound of giggling...and then laughter caused him to pause in his panic. Eyes slowly moving to rest on Chloris...who was even wiping a tear from her eyes from laughing. He glared at her as it all began to dawn on him. She tricked him. He wasn't poisoned...even before she said it he could tell by her reaction that that was the case. He was so easily duped by her...he hadn't expected another prankster in their group. His glare slowly faded with her apology, before he himself laughed a little in return. "That was dirty...but good regardless." He would respond, still surprised to have been the target of one and not the one doing it. He especially did not expect it from her, she was so silent and seemingly calm of nature. Not the type you'd expect to do something like this at all. And though he outwardly seemed fine, inside he was plotting his revenge. 'She drew first blood in this prank war...and I shall answer it in full force.' He vowed to himself. After today she will be his first target, though he still had to think up an appropriate prank. Today would especially help, seeing as he needed to know them a bit better to make the pranks more personalized. Chloris would then hand him a basket which he accepted with a smile, mentioning making her own and maybe something to get water. Henryk merely nodded at that. "It could be useful. Maybe we can make something later to store water. Create our own stash there to be prepared for anything...And maybe this time let me know if something is poisonous ahead of time, so I don't accidentally poison our team." Henryk would respond, being serious at first but joking as he reminded her of her own prank on him. Though he hoped she would tell him. Part of him had thought she purposefully poisoned him before he knew it was a prank.
Waiting for her, he would begin to collect berries with her once her basket was made. He was going carefully, only getting the berries she had said weren't poisonous and not daring to eat any of it currently. Last thing he would need was to actually be poisoned after all that, or do so to the others. It was then that she would respond to his original question...something he had forgotten about due to the whole poison fiasco. It appeared her semblance had saved her life, which Henryk had a very shocked and worried face when she mentioned the fall. He was glad her semblance had saved her...imagining the scenario, he could only just begin to imagine how badly it may have turned out if it hadn't. He smiled a bit when she mentioned how she cried to heal a daisy stalk she broke, his mood lifting a little. 'I suppose it makes sense. She does have a nature semblance, so it fits that she is so close to nature. Though that is the first i've heard of someone crying over that.' He thought to himself. It was then that Henryk briefly froze at her question, expression showing some shock and worry briefly before he switched it to a casual smile. He had forgotten she may ask him that in return. His question, from wording to the general idea, had backfired on him. While the benefit granted was nothing to worry about...the how of it was. It was not something that he liked to say...And he had a feeling others would not receive the cost of his semblance well. He stayed silent for a minute or two, seemingly focused on picking berries...But once his basket was full, he would look back to Chloris..No longer having an excuse not to say it. "I discovered mine by accident..." He would pause, looking back to the wolf before slowly getting closer to Chloris. He would begin to whisper. " You have to promise me not to tell the others yet..." He would pause and wait, seeing if she would promise. If she did he would continue speaking. "I fell during one of my acts and...someone caught me, slowing my fall...but we both ended up on the ground...And because of that...Well...Our lips touched. She was a chamelion faunus...and I turned pink because of the embarrassment. My semblance...borrows traits from others. I even had her tail made out of aura for a bit because of it." He would whisper, face visibly getting a little red from embarrassment from revealing it. He would then quickly add in a whisper. "That's why you've never seen me use mine while you've seen most of the others...Its not something I get to do very often. And its not something I can ask out of the blue...Anyways, I think we have enough berries now if you want to head back or explore more?" Henryk would mention...Before quickly switching subjects, not exactly wanting to linger on this one anymore. Whichever she decided to do he would follow her lead.

☆☽Miya Tsukiko Tora☾☆ ☆═━If you don’t enter the tiger’s den, how can you catch the tiger’s cub?━═☆
Tsuki was more than thrilled as she held tight to the shark woman while they took a less likely traveled route towards the school. Her heart raced in excitement as the buildings and streets of Vale began to change to lush and trees of Fall Forest. She had never really gone there much after the incident so long ago. It was curious of her, but she didn't question it for now."Alright! I trust you,"She replied loud enough to be heard by her living transport."Wow, pretty...but shouldn't we be wary of the Grimm...Ah, whatever, nothing ventured nothing gained,"She thought absently then shrugged to herself.
Her icy-blue eyes took in as much of the blurring forest as they could before she would have to close them from the rushing wind every now and then."Interesting place...are we allowed here though,"She wondered as her thoughts briefly moved to the school."Hey Rach, are students allowed in the forest?"She asked, tail wrapping around Rachel's waist through her suitcase's handle so as to secure it better at their brisk pace."Huh, I hadn't really thought about that..."She thought to Rachel's question and pondered the thought."That might be a fun class, I'll consider it. Definitely sounds up my alley."She meant it as she replied with a grin before it would seem they would be heading in to trouble.
Yep...they were headed into trouble."Well, she's just a firecracker on steroids,"She thought with a chuckle at Rachel's heads-up. That was when the young tiger faunus had felt the Goliath begin to jump, instinctively holding more tight as she did so. Looking to see what Rachel's attentions were on, she blinked in utter surprise at the boarbatusk."That could make a big roast,"She thought out loud, though she knew one could not eat a Grimm, it didn't mean she couldn't think about it...Right? Miya was not oblivious to Rachel's body language...this woman planned to attack. The tigress frowned and sighed; she would not leave the shark faunus to fight alone, young as she was, she took the woman for a friend so she would fight alongside her. Taking the opportunity since they weren't going yet, she released her suitcase enough that she could hook her suitcase onto a bit of a high branch before they would leave, but not before taking out what looked like three fans and slipped them into her purse. She then marked the tree via scratching and waited patiently.
As they pushed off with Rachel's tremendous strength and timing, Miya would hold on tight and looked down at the beast that would soon be below them. As the shark faunus prepared to stick a landing closer to the front, Tsukiko took the chance top open her purse a little and let go, taking out what looked like two daggers from her purse. Landing on the back of the boarbatusk she stabbed the daggers into its hide to keep her stationed there."Ha! It worked."A wide sharp-toothed grin spread on her lips at the surprising task. She had honestly thought she was going to fall off."Who's Lancer?...Rachel! Just hold on tight!"She asked over her shoulder to the shark woman, before shouting back at the spastic giant as she asked about cruise controls. This was nuts! But she loved it, even if she was freaked out; as could be seen by the hackling of her tail and ears. But now the question was...WHAT THE ******** DID THEY DO NEXT?!

Chloris was not disappointed by the over-dramatic team leader. Oh, he was just extremely entertaining. It only made her smile as he came to the realization he was not poisoned, though she was not so naive."And so the pranks begin."She thought to herself briefly. The petite young woman felt color on her cheeks slightly as he complimented her on her prank though.
Her attention was on him though as she had not expected him to reply to her outspoken thought, but was pleased to hear he thought it was good. Even had the good-naturedness to jest."Maybe on our next trip. I'm sure you would be brave enough to test it for us...but don't worry, I'll let you know of any poisonous vegetation,"She promised him. She would never poison anyone on purpose, it was not in her nature to...at least she hoped not.
As they collected berries and every so often, she spotted a few edible flowers and roots that might give the berries a refreshing bit of fiber to them, she smiled as the roots would also provide some more nutrition and flavor. As she pondered combining them with a few granola bars from Remus' stock, as she spoke. When she peeked at Henryk, she had not missed his look of shock and concern. She gave a small smile that hopefully reassured him that she was okay. The young woman had always had nature to protect her; she respected it and it was a part of her after all.
After she was done and asked him about his, it would fall silent for a long time. Chloris wondered if he would ever tell her as they collected berries in silence. Though their baskets were almost full when he started moving closer to her and the bush she had been foraging from when he said he discovered it by accident. She looked to him confused."Accident?"The young woman tilted her head to the side, slightly as she looked to the boy that seemed suddenly sheepish before whispering. Being asked to keep something in confidence, she nodded."Of course I promise."She replied and listened as he continued with the story of how he discovered his semblance.
Her expression would change from surprise, to a smile of amusement and then a small smile of understanding."I see. That is an interesting semblance indeed."She said at the end and reached out, resting a dainty-looking hand on his shoulder with her free hand."You shouldn't be embarrassed of such a unique gift though."She told him kindly as her mossy-green eyes looked up to the tall boy. She then looked to their gathering bowls."Maybe we should head back, seeing as both of us have berries, nuts, and roots for a proper meal."She suggested casually before moving toward the wolf so she could set the basket carefully down and gather her backpack and quarterstaff for heading back.

Garret hunted for far longer than he expected. He did not know if there was some source far out in the forest that may be attracting the Grimm, whether they had given up for now on breaching the city, or if the guard had grown more bold and established a stronger presence out here near the city. Whatever the reason was, it seemed to keep the Grimm away for now, or so scarce to make finding them difficult. Even as accustomed as he was to it, finding the tracks that did not abruptly end or lead too deep into the forest was a long task. But Garret said no word as he did so, voiced no complaint. His purpose was clear, and no delay would stop him from fulfilling it. So he continued his searched tirelessly, as one way or another there would be blood staining the forest floor. Whether it was his or the Grimm was uncertain. After another hour or so, Garret had finally found what he had been searching for. Finally found something he could invoke some measure of vengeance on. It was not the same type of Grimm, a boar rather than the wolf like ones. 'Fitting prey for the hunt.' Garret thought to himself. The way to kill boar in a traditional hunt was by the spear, aiming for the underbelly of it. The honor of which usually awarded to the liege or highest ranking person at the time, unless an exception were made. Garret hardly deserved the privilege, this was his homage to the two deceased students. This was his wrong to make a right. He silently stalked after the boar, quieting his mind...focusing solely on the hunt. Of tracking his prey silently and waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
Such a moment soon appeared. There had been a distant commotion Garret and the boar had heard, the boar itself going off to investigate it with Garret slowly and silently creeping behind it. Both spears out, he would crouch behind some nearby bushes and place Virtue on the ground as he readied himself. Gripping Heir in one hand, he would very slowly rise from his crouch till he stood at full height behind it, pulling his right arm back as he slightly twisted his body. He was ready, waiting for it to turn slightly to try and impale the beast from a distance or at least draw its attention. Pulling his arm fully back, he prepared to throw it...before something completely unexpected happened that made him stop in his tacks. A large woman flew from a tree and landed bodily on the boarbatusk, causing it to almost collapse on its self as it just barely held itself up from the wight and force of the landing. Lancer blinked a few times in case he was seeing things. "Rachel...?" He would say quietly to himself, so very confused as to what was going on right now. Seeing a flicker of movement and small reflection of light he saw a...feline faunus also riding the boarbatusk. His boarbatusk."Wait just a min-" He began to say, voice slowly rising in volume before it was cut off by Rachel saying she was going to borrow it. 'Shes stealing my prey!' He angrily thought to himself, having spent so long hunting it. Her interrupting the solemness of his hunt, and making the atmosphere a bit lighter, was not helping his current feeling towards her.
The boarbatusk was not being idle as this scene unfolded, feeling two creatures land on its back and hearing another. It did not want the two on it, it wanted to impale it in its tusk and trample their corpses. It began to buck wildly, trying to shake the both of them off as it did. But the heavier one especially kept a firm grip and was restricting its movement, keeping it from getting its prey. So it did what it thought may help...It formed itself into a ball and began to spin, moving off wildly away into the forest to try and shake everyone on it off. However the big one at least was tenacious, it no longer being able to tell if the small one were still on it. No matter how much it ran it over into the forest floor, it would not come off. So it continued moving madly, crashing into and through trees as it went deeper into the outskirts.
Garret watched as the creature turned into a giant wheel, and began to wheel away. His prey, running, with Rachel effectively stealing it...But the smaller one seemed to have hopped off right before it started to roll. Normally Garret would be more vocal, tell them to stay away and that he had it covered...Perhaps even check to see if they were ok. But with Rachel threatening to run away with his prey..he had no time for it. Picking up virtue with his left hand he would begin to bolt after the creature, chasing it as it wildly rolled off into the forest. Though he didn't have his speed semblance, it thankfully wasn't going in a straight line and continually moved in wide circular paths. Making it hard for him to reach it, but never getting too far away. Finally after what felt like a very long chase, but may have only been a few minutes of running, the boar stopped its charge abruptly since Rachel did not seem like she would be letting go, lifting its front legs off the ground as it reared up slightly trying to get Rachel to fall. Garret took his chance then and there. Not slowing down despite his lungs feeling like they needed more air, he charged the boar with both spears extended, aiming to hit in its exposed underbelly with all the force and momentum he could muster.
Ella jumped a little when Remus began to speak, she got a little confused and had a thought that the horse was talking to her. It took her a brief moment to realise that Remus had listened to her very much one-sided conversation with the horse. As Remus explained his experiences, Ella could tell that he was attempting to make her feel better, which it did. She shook her head and looked to the ground, a heavy sigh coming from her mouth. "I think I could have saved her. I told her to move with me to the left Remus... she just didn't listen.." she said, biting her lip as she tried her hardest to hold back tears.
Ella tensed her fists, and gulped down the lump that had formed in her throat. This was a part of life, a part of growing up and learning that not everyone is going to make it to live another day. "I just, the way she was ripped apart Remus. I can't unsee it, it keeps repeating over and over in my head and I'm just exhausted watching it.." she said, looking up at him now as she attempted to relax a little, her hand brushed against her book that rested on her hip and she let out a long, deep breath.
Ella felt uncomfortable all of a sudden, "Sorry, I'm so disappointed in myself for letting it get to me.." she said, trailing off at the end. "I'll be a better, more effective teammate to you guys, I've been reading as much as I can on it!" she said, attempting to force a smile onto her face, evidently a fake one.

With the pair wrapping up their trip to gather what gifts nature has to offer the wolf accompanying Chloris and Henryk got up. Chloris was gathering some edible roots and flowers. The wolf watched her collect a bit of this and that in that department. The two weren't leaving immediately though. It seemed that first they were going to wrap up their conversation. So it turned its attention to the scents that were being carried upon the air in the forest. If Chloris was collecting those things she would likely be keen to know about this scent. When Chloris spoke up about heading back and came closer to the wolf the animal suddenly moved at her. Its fangs snagging onto the cuff of her right sleeve as she set the basket of berries down next to it. The wolf started to walk. Tugging on her sleeve to not let her go back and and get her back and staff yet.
She needed to find something else first. Sure she was getting the message the wolf let her go and took off ahead of her around the berry bushes. It was headed to a place that was up wind of where the berries were. But even that wasn't enough to hide the scent on the air after the wolf had lead Chloris, and Henryk if he followed too, closer to the source. The smell of mint was unmistakable after all. And at the other side of the smell the wolf sat down next to a green bed of wild mint. The ivy like growth with its strong scent was hiding a few other herbs that the wolf pointed out with its snout. Though to be honest at first glance it just looked like the animal was huffing the scent like it was a line of cocaine. Though with its snout pushing the mint leaves aside a group of small sage plants that were hiding in there became visible.

Remus tapped hims index finger against Colossus's saddle as Ella responded. She looked a little better now though there was still a lingering unsteady shimmer of tears in her eyes. They weren't overflowing though as she held them back with obvious effort. "That may just be to be expected when working with a make shift team. In a military sense responsibility for a poor decision falls on the leader. The teachers decided on that mission and sent you all so I'm sure the teachers are kicking themselves even more than we are, Ella." He wasn't sure if it was the best response, but it was the best thing he could come up with to say at the moment. It wasn't Ella's fault that her instruction wasn't heeded, and even if it was there is no guarantee the result would of been better.
After the next thing Ella said Remus could see just how unstable she was. He put his mind through its paces in an attempt to come up with a fix all solution. There was no magic band aid of words that he could come up with the fix this all in one go. Instead he reached out for her. Remus grabbed hold of her shoulders and pulled her into a tight hug. It might surprise her for him to suddenly hug her but this was all that really came to mind. The sense that she just needed one. That she needed some time to feel safe in the grip of someone that cares for her. "Shhhh. I know, but... " He tried to comfort her but again what could he say to make it better? Drawing a bit of a blank he just let her draw comfort from his presence. He wouldn't even care or mention it if she wanted to cry it out. "We will just have to get stronger and someday hopefully we can all focus more on those we have saved instead of those we couldn't. We're here to learn to be the saviors of others after all." He commented, his usual confidence slowly returning to his voice.
Remus let her go after she seemed ready and clicked his tongue at her comment about being disappointed in herself. "I'm afraid I wont accept that apology Ella. It got to all of us. You're not the only one and you have no reason to be sorry or ashamed about it. Heck if someone wanted to try to heckle you about it I'd give them a fat lip for their effort." He said as he held up his right arm to brandish his fist while gripping his bicep with his left hand like he was checking how much muscle he had. He beamed a bright smile at her vow to improve. In an effort to try to fix up the sad smile she gave him afterwards he dug into his pocket and produced a pocket size leather book. He offered it over to her. The black leather book was emblazoned with gold lettering that read 'Mounted Tactics for the Mounted Combatant'. "I always carry this book with me, so perhaps you would like to read it as well." He explained, looking to her love of books to cheer her up again. If she took it he would let her do so without even removing the pictures tucked into various pages as bookmarks.
Remus then scratched his head nervously as he considered another idea. "Um, also I think I have heard that making new happier memories can help. Though it might just be a factor of time supposedly healing all wounds. But if it will help take your mind off it then perhaps the dance with you..." Remus paused and considered what he just said. That didn't seem right. Did he just get tongue tied? Well maybe, it was outside his usual comfort zone. This was a first actually as such events were not included in the previous school. He continued, correcting himself. "I meant, would you like to go to the dance the school is hosting with me. It should be a good distraction."

XXXOh man, now that was the kind of thinking Rachel could appreciate. Her sense of bloodlust was still thriving through her semblance as she flashed Tsuki a toothy grin, drool dribbling from the corner of her lips. "Oh man you wish. Have you ever tried eating a grimm? They last for like five seconds before dissolving in your mouth. It's like that raccoon dipping cotton candy in water. A real freakin' tragedy." ... Okay, what the actual hell was she talking about? Clearly, the woman had countless screws loose in her brain, if it wasn't already obvious already. Rachel could feel the Boarbatusk falter beneath the sudden impact, her raw muscle weight threatening to crush the poor grim before it had a chance. Fortunately, as a boar and a grimm, it was much was capable of withstanding much more. The creature was already quite disgruntled from the sudden assault on it, but it was the daggers digging into its hide that really tipped the creature over the edge. "Good thinking, Kitkat! That'll throw 'em into gear!" Perhaps Tsuki and Rachel had different intentions. The goliath actually had no intention of hunting the creature, instead, using it as a taxi service. A mix of these two reckless gals was causing the creature to go into a frenzy, trying desperately to buck the two off, but to no avail. Rachel, in particular, was gripping the tusks of the creature with a force that may surely threaten to crack the bones that protruded from its face. How unfortunate, what would a Boarbatusk be without its fearsome tusks? What Rachel hadn't quite expected was the creature to practically transform into a ball, beginning a rapid rotation to try and shake the others off. Perhaps Tsuki was the wiser one and may have jumped off from the scene recognizing the danger, but not Rachel. "Oi oi! So that's how its gonna be, fine Mr. Piggy, F**K. ING. BRING. IT." Holding on with a good portion of might, Rachel's own mass would begin rotating with a creature, spinning in a complete circle to constantly grind her against the ground. Honestly, if it wasn't for her desensitizing to pain, and the protective scales from her semblance, it would surely hurt a whole hell of a lot more.
As the creature began to spin, it would proceed with its super bumpy ride in order to escape the area. Sure, the creature wanted to shake off Rachel and rip her to pieces, but it also seemed to want to make it out alive itself. WHOO. LAN. CER. YOU. SHOULD. GIVE. THIS. A. TRY. TSU. TSU. TOO." With a loud bellowing voice, surely to even dwarf the sound of the rotation but broken apart from her own self continuously being buried into the ground. The process was long, and this creature was surely taking Rachel on the ride of her life. Perhaps these two horrific monsters were a match made in heaven, though she felt herself getting a bit sick. After all, constant spinning and being so topsy-turvy really messed with a gal's stomach. By the time the creature finally came to a stop, Rachel's world was spinning before her eyes but held the same grip on the creature as she had the entire time. Dazed and simply unwell, the dumbest grin crossed her cheek. "HA.... You suck, Mr. Pig..." Oh man, the world was spinning so much. She wasn't sure how much more she could take of it.
In one last attempt to try and dismount the girl, the creature stood on its hind legs to try and kick her off again. However, in response, Rachel shifted one of her arms to attempt to wrap around its throat. The horns were a great grip, but it was clear that with Lancer and Tsuki, there was no way she was gonna get this thing back to Beacon. As she attempted to sling her arm tightly around its neck, Lancer took the initiative to try and pierce the creature. "Oi! Back off mate, I mounted it! It's mine!" ... Honestly, that wasn't the case at all. She had completely stolen the creature from Lancer who had been tracking it for however long, though... What did it matter to her? Latching more firmly onto the creature with one arm, her other hand released the second tusk before pulling it back and slamming a mighty fist down directly on the skull of the creature. It was a similar force that was used to topple trees before, so... Unless the grimm had other plans, its head may very well explode, if Lancer hadn't gotten to it first. "Freakin' meathead, that's what you get for almost making me lose my steak! God damn!" ... Now, whatever happened to the grimm was up to the heart of the cards, and the combined effort of all the hunters. Honestly, this one was a bit young... Definitely on the weaker side, if she and Lancer couldn't take this thing out, then... What were they even doing with their lives?
Henryk wasn't sure how to feel with how casually Chloris seemed to jest about things harmful to his life, having mentioned he would be brave enough to test things first for everyone in times where it was uncertain...He wasn't sure if he would or just say not to risk it...but she thankfully added that she would let him know of any she knew to be poisonous. He was not sure if he had suddenly met his match in joking, dark humor never being something he was particularly good at doing and usually only heightened his nervousness at times. 'And of course it had to be the quiet one too...' He thought to himself silently, as it appeared the old saying still held true. He didn't know whether to be scared of Chloris or safe with her at this point, and he doubted he would ever settle with one side with her version of joking. But...he trusted she wouldn't kill him, at the least. 'And I am so getting back at her with my prank once I can get the materials and theme.' He vowed to himself.
Henryk was glad Chloris had promised not to tell anyone of his semblance, and even gave him a look of understanding after he told her about it. It had been on his mind of when or if he would tell his team what his semblance ever was, as he could always use it with others not part of his team. 'And Remus has nothing to worry about, because there is no way I am kissing him.' Henryk thought to himself. The only ones it could truly affect were Chloris and Ella...so he at least got half of it done...but he had no clue how to tell Ella or if he should mention it. Pushing the thought from his mind, he figured he would deal with it at another time. Hearing her say it was an interesting semblance, all Henryk could think was that was the understatement of the year. 'Why did mine have to have such a drawback!' He complained in his mind. And then...he was caught by surprise as he felt a hand on his shoulder. Eyes widening in surprise and almost jumping slightly as he had been lost in thought, he traced the rather dainty looking hand with his eyes back to its source: Chloris. He visibly relaxed after he found out it was her, not bothered at all by her hand being there given the amount of girls he knew in the circus. She then mentioned how he shouldn't be embarrassed about such a unique gift. For once, Henryk was slightly speechless as his golden eyes met her mossy-green eyes. He had never truly considered his power a gift with what he had to do to use it. It felt like more of a curse in that regard because well... 'How do you explain to someone I need to kiss you to borrow something?' He thought in his mind. Still...He appreciated the gesture. "Thank you...I'll keep that in mind." He would respond, his tone appreciative and sincere, lacking the usual theatrics for once.
Hearing her take his advice of heading back, his expression would lighten and he would nod happily. "Sure, we seem to have enough for now. And, poison aside, these berries taste far better than the bars Remus gave. So I call this a successful harvest." Henryk would say, following after her but stopping short as she began to gather her things by the wolf. Then, before she could gather her belongings, Henryk saw the wolf suddenly bite her arm! He was shocked slightly, but brought his cane to bear in his free hand ready to strike. 'Did Remus lose control!?' He wondered to himself, not sure if he could take on a spectral wolf but willing to do so. But, after a few seconds he noticed it hadn't bitten her but her sleeve...and began tugging to guide her. However that meant she couldn't get her stuff. Curious, and not willing to be left behind...Henryk would sling her backpack and quarterstaff carefully on his back, along with his own cane so his other hand could grab Chloris' basket, and followed after them...walking a little slower to keep his balance but keeping pace. Seeing it lead to a bunch of plants with a strong smell, one Henryk couldn't really identify confidently, he would pause and stare curiously. "Anything we could use?" He would ask, rather curious but also...hoping she collected them fast. He did feel safe with the wolf and her abilities...but he did want to get back to the base and the others nonetheless. He was not entirely accustomed to the feeling of the forest, though he wasn't sure he ever would be. ✘ Post count: 23 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC: Deeper into the forest...Yay...
Ella agreed internally with what Remus had to say, she was put with others she didn't know and who was she to boss Dusk around, even though it led to her untimely death. She hugged herself slightly, in an attempt to comfort herself as she could tell a lot was going through his head. Ella went extremely tense and rigid as soon as she saw him coming in for a hug, she couldn't remember the last time a male had ever been this close to her, she froze and it must have felt really awkward for Remus for a brief moment.
Her breath was taken away from her for a good few seconds, her mind went into complete overdrive as she thought of how to react to this. Ella had held her breath for that long, she let out an extremely long sigh and all of a sudden felt her body begin to relax with it, along with the warmth of his hug. He was much taller and larger than her petite frame, she closed her eyes and just moved herself forward so she was now putting pressure back on him, showing him that she needed this moment.
Ella was confused with her feelings at this moment of time, she listened to Remus and tears just began to stream from her eyes without her being able to stop it this time, "Thanks, Remus.." she muttered, sniffing her tears up. She must have needed this cry, but she wasn't one for showing weakness, she hated looking weak, especially to a man. Moving back a little as he reached into his pocket for something, she sniffed and wiped her eyes. Looking down at his hand, she almost instantly felt much better. Her eyes scanned the wonderful gold letters and the title made her eyes look up to Colossus, and then back at Remus.
She took the book and held it with both of her hands in front of her, a smile crept onto her face unknowingly. "I must put aside time to read it all! I'll have it back to you by the end of the week!" she said, as she then hugged the book, most likely looking a bit strange. Books were just her thing, her zen, they calmed her and she had a relationship with them like no other.
She was so busy thinking about reading this book, that she was totally caught off guard by his next suggestion.. question? Her cheeks went a shade of bright pink as she couldn't help but show her shock in her facial expression, as she almost stared at him a bit too intensely. "I mean, I'm a bit surprised you still want to go with me after the bubbling fool I've been since we arrived.." she said, a little chuckle came from her as she tried to make a light hearted joke. "He's a fool to want to go with someone like me.. I'm sure there are much prettier, more suited females.." she thought to herself, realising she had taken a very long time to actually give him an answer. "Yes!" she said, muttering a little as she coughed to clear her throat. "I mean, yeah sure.. it would definitely be a good distraction!" she said, getting very embarrassed and giddy at the same time.
Ella cringed at her response, "What a fool I am making of myself! Pull yourself together Eleanor!" she said to herself again, a stern look appearing as she gave herself an inner pep talk as she thought of how she could resolve the mess she was creating. "Thanks for asking me, when I'm confident you would have had many invites from others." she said, flashing him a gentle smile to show she really meant it.

Chloris was overjoyed that they could collect so many berries, nuts and roots. This would definitely make a lovely breakfast, she thought to herself as she smiled brightly. When she spoke with Henryk about his semblance, she felt he had a certain amount of trust in her, and she wanted to be sure to protect that trust; after all, putting your trust in someone is never easy as she knew."He's a good person."She thought absently before moving to gather her things.
Before she could though, she would be distracted by a persistent wolf tugging on the sleeve of her jacket."What is it, darlin',"She inquired. The petite young woman would get the gist soon enough though and follow."Hold on, puppy, I'm followin' don' worry."She smiled, curious of the wolf's discovery. It didn't take as long as she thought as two familiar and strong scents tickled her nose. A smile crossed her pink lips as she went to examine the gorgeous wild herbs."Oh, you beautiful creature, you. Thank you."She cheered the wolf, not thinking for a minute in her excitement, leaning down and planting a gentle kiss atop the phantom wolf's head, between the ears before she'd skip off and start collecting.
Humming a soft, lullaby-like tune as she collected the herbs, she would then hear the ram faunus' question and looked over her shoulder and up at him with a kind smile."Wild mint and sage, but I'll just collect the mint for now. It'll pair nicely with the fruit. Not only that, but you can also chew the leaves afterwards and it's good for oral health."She replied then giggled as she set the herbs in their baskets."Alright boys, lets head back."She said as she would carefully collect her things from Henryk with a thank you before carrying her basket back with her friend and the wolf.

Now that they were at the Briar, her aura softly surrounded her as she would manipulate the thorny vines as the entrance would open, making way for them to enter through to the clearing inside."Ella, Remus, we're back. And we come bearing gifts~,"She called out as they were finally in. Smiling to the two, she then tilted her head ever-so-slightly to the side, confused as to why the two seemed so flustered. Then she shrugged and stepped aside so Henryk could get in. Once he was, the entrance would fully close and they would be safe once more inside the briar's clearing.

☆☽Miya Tsukiko Tora☾☆ ☆═━If you don’t enter the tiger’s den, how can you catch the tiger’s cub?━═☆
Tsuki chuckled at Rachel's retort about the boarbatusk, wrinkling her nose at the thought of ash in her mouth. It was not a pleasant thought to consider. Slightly confused by her comment, Miya's intention was only in holding on, not agitating the beast further."I don't think...that's wise, Ms. Rachel,"She said, a bit hesitantly. Of course, after the Grimm was in gear, thoughts shifted to hanging on for dear life. Only when it was showing signs that it was about to roll had she escaped.
Shaking her head in both amusement and worry, the tigress would climb further up in order to stand on the branch. It was hardly a wait though before she would have to chase after both her new ally and the Grimm as it rolled along with the giantess on its back."I can't help but admire this nutcase. She's mad,"She thought with a giggle,"but she's funny and good."Continuing to chase after them from above, she didn't miss the sparkle of metal and decided to chase that...it would be a bit before she realized it was a spear in the sunlight and would pout from it not being something she could collect.
Shaking her head to clear it though, she would smile as she saw it be aimed for the beast's underbelly. Then hearing Rachel's yell to claim it, she sighed."As long as it's put down, does it really matter who kills it?"She called out. Ears and tail twitching slightly, she prepared her daggers for throwing, but not before slipping on two metal bands around her wrists from her purse."They are being childish."She tisked before spreading her weapons from daggers to war-fans."Hey Rachel...Duck~!"She yelled to the shark giant, as she threw the fans in an angle that would hopefully hit the boarbatusk, but if not, she wasn't perturbed as the metal in the blades would be drawn back to the magnetic bracelets she wore."This is definitely not a faster route to Beacon...but it's fun nonetheless,"She thought absently before debating on moving to another tree or not, until then, she would remain in the tree and possibly cach her fans as well.
