"The great heroes who fought against Laos? Who are they...and who's Laos? And...I'll be alright. I think. Perhaps." she spoke softly, and forced a smile while staring at him

(last for the night...I might pop on for a few around 10ish....before I truely go to bed, just to let you know)

"Wow! You don't know? OK, well..." Kura went on to explain to Mimi about the heroes that fought against Laos, the great demon lord. Once he finished, he asked Mimi, "Alright, what's buging you? I can tell from your voice and eyes something is up."

The doctors sighed and got up leaving tolly where he was, and closed the door behind him were they gathered around talking dangerously of sucesssion of the throne outside of the queens ears. One even made mention of murder to have a proper ruling family in place for one. A family not so prone to whims of their fancy or allowing commoners into the private sectors of power.

(*must not kill doctors*)

What the doctors had so kindly forgotten was how much Yami could hear without listening. She shook her head knowing this was not going to end well, and if it meant dieing and bringing her full wrath upon Tolly for this stunt, so be it. However, she would deal with them later, and give them 'reassurance' that she was suited for the job, and could be everything Tolly had been and thensome. She glanced at Tolly and shook her head "Goodness only knows I'll murder you myself if you don't have a good enough reason for this. You're not leaving me alone to deal with this....they won't listen to me for long." She opened the drawer and pulled the letter, looking the words over.

-----

Mimi stared at him and her eyes almost filled with tears again and the ice tried to build up, but greatfully couldn't. "Kura....Lord Toleranth died just a few minutes ago. But I don't understand....what is dead? I feel sad...but I don't understand."

"Um...Dead is like...Sleeping forever, yeah, that's it. He's never gonna wake up. Like, right ow, we're alive, but when we die, we sleep forever, got it?" Kura then noticed the name. "Wait, Toleranth just died? THE Toleranth?! Darn!" He looked upset for a bit, then said, "Ah well, I guess there's not much I can do..."

"yami i understand your prolly wanting to kill me right now. i would prolly feel the same way except with a little more flair of backing it up with some granduer action.

However lets get right to the point. Your gonna half to wait for my return it won't be right away, but it will happen. Far from what any healer will tell you, time syndrome is nothing more then evoultion of my species. The healers are disclaiming it for the sake that they cannot prove or understand the transformation or the cause. However I believe that I am right in this course of action in letting it take me over. Please tell mimi that I enjoyed her company, and if you wish to show her this letter you may.

Now I understand my enemies will attempt to circumvete your autority as queen, so I have appointed Vermillion as my replacement. however he is instructed to support whatever you decide. So be careful, yet also be comforted in the fact someone has your back if its trouble your facing.

Now please don't worry about me, but most of all watch your back. Also be cautious of things of state, the peace is fragile, and can shatter things.

"sleeping forever?" she asked tilting her head softly and then nodded it, silently showing she understood what he meant. "He was one of the heroes wasn't he? I'm sorry. He was very kind, but I didn't know him very long....I'm sorry."

------------------

Yami read the letter several times, she wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Killing him sounded like a great way to take out her aggrivation, crying however did too. Why now of all times when she was already weak enough as it is, attempting to run the kingdom while he was recovering. However the thought of Vermillion on her side did comfort her, she was scared and feeling more lonely then ever before. She wanted so badly for things to go back to the way they were. She couldn't control a kingdom, controling her own children was a chore all on it's own, but running the whole kingdom was enough as just a thought to make Yami sit down and curl up. She stared there, somewhere between being ready to cry, and ready to scream

She glided through the shadows, as though possessed by the very spirit of darkness.
Her skintight outfit of black leather accentuated more than was considered decent, but allowed for freedom of movement, and allowed her to slip through the palace grounds unnoticed, The weapons at her belt glinted in the moonlight, Her long auburn hair was braided, and wrapped around her head in a halo. Her piercing green eyes scanned the area for any movement, but it seemed to her that they were all inside, but you could never be to careful.
She ran one gloved hand over her weapons, until she found the one she had been searching for. Holding the dirk tightly in her left hand, she gazed up at the castle calculatingly. She tightened the straps around her wrists, and shivered.
Her garb was reasonably comfortable, and extremely useful, but it failed to entirely cover her shoulders, and left a good amount of her neck exposed, leaving them bare to the unforgiving chill that permeated the air this evening.
She had come to speak with Lord Toleranth, who she hadn't seen in almost a decade, hoping for his assistance, she had seen with her own eyes the fires in the temple lit. Murmurs of discontent among the surrounding kingdoms were everywhere; she had originally intended to travel immediately to Esperanza, not only to warn jadiera of the temple, but also to embrace tightly the closest woman she had to kin left.
Freya casually swung the grappling hook around her head, and released it watching as it flew upward to tightly wrap around her target. Giving it a few experimental tugs, she began hoisting herself up the rope, muscles straining, as they fought gravity to reach their destination.
Admittedly, the front door would be an easier route, but she would prefer to get in and out with as little fuss as possible.

A old man passing by overheard Mimi, and paused telling her his opinion rather bluntly. "Seek not the dragon, but follow in his footsteps. There you will find if he be hero, or condemned." The man kept on going heading off around a corner.

--------------------------------------

The healers and doctors hushed their voices further outside the door to Tolly's study. "We cannot move on the queen till we find it, and learn who he placed in charge besides her. Then we will eradicate the entire family, and pick ourselves and new king who will be conserative enough to forget this fruitless venture and leave this planet forever."

They all nodded and headed towards the connecting hallway leaving the hallway clear. As far as they were concerned they were the only ones besides the witnesses of the death that knew of it. They would send a trusted crew to remove the body later.

Finally, Freya reached the window.
She nimbly swung herself up onto the ledge, and peered inside as she fumbled with the rope, reeling it up, and strapping it onto her belt once again.
This whole sharade was becoming more trouble than it was worth. The vague sound of voices could be heard just down the hall.
She returned the knife to her belt as well, It was readily available on the off chance she should need it.
Looking down at her garb she decided it stood out a bit too much.
Well, nothing she could do at the moment, Freya strolled off down the hall toward the voices.
She strode right into the midst of things, and smiled brightly.
"Why, hello, I was wondering where I might find King Toleranth? Him and I have a few things to disceuss...?"

"Yeah, he was. But it's no biggie, I'll meet him some day." Kura said, then smiled. "So, do you wanna do something? I think I'd be a little bored just sitting here.

The guard looked at Freya as if she were from another planet; "you mean you haven't heard yet, you've traveled a day within the borders of here and haven't heard the news yet, wow, but sorry about my shock. Its just I haven't talked to one person yet who hasn't attemtped to explain how it happened or why it happened without being absoultely wrong. King toleranth is dead, he has been for about a day now, Queen Yami is in control at the moment, but yeah King Toleranth is gone. His cermony will not be till the end of this coming week."

"What sort of things? I ususal just sit places most days." Mimi spoke softly, unsure of whether or not to be so quick to trust anyone, but surely Toki wouldn't have let his watchful eyes leave her even if she was under the care of Yami. "There's very little to do in here....in the castle." Mimi however kept the old man's words in the back of her head, trying not to think on them to hard.

-----

Yami had manadged to make herself look a bit more presentable, Toki in the corner watching her carefully. She wasn't willing to leave Tolly alone, she didn't trust those doctors, she had very little trust for anyone, even Toki who she was keeping there in case he was needed.

"Hmm, if there's nothing to do here, do you wanna check out the town? If you want to, of course. I mean, we just met, so I can understand if you wouldn't want to."

They came in through the door quietly, four of them, wearing black ribbons on their left horns, They stopped in front of Yami, and waited a few minutes. "Yami it is time for us to take him for preperations, Someone will carry you along shortly for his cermony, and Hikari will convey whatever words you wish among the gathered if you wish to say any."
