i kinda see my style as half western and half anime - i kind wish it would go further towards one or the other XD my style differs a lot when i do chibis though D:
i think im still trying to find my own style, slowly but surely.
Kam, i find that hard - with anatomy though people have given me some good tips with faces - the eyes are halfway down and the nose halfway down between the eyes and chin and the mouth halfway between the chin and nose..
Also something i dont do but should
its a good idea to try and simplifiy the human form - breaking it down into shapes like triangles etc etc sketching them out first and also drawing the spine - just a line can really help with posing and such - if you shape person looks correct chances are the drawing will <3
there are some really good tutorials here though in the tutorial forum - some i have to look at ninja

Yup tutorials = good. It's hard to give advice when you don't specify more *shrug* Oh yeah, and unfortunately, practic practice practice practice, is all that helps. And being bold and trying new things and challenging yourself constantly.
Perhaps it's time for you to try picking up that pencil once again? Wouldn't hurt to try!
Personally I've given up on finding my own style, can't seem to do it... so I just draw how I'm used to drawing << I see my style as way too mainstream anime...

Yeah - its hard to sometimes take a step back from our own work, thats why its good to get others opinions - i know i do - i go up to john but he ususally doesnt say much unless i push him , my dad too ish a lil bit like that and my mum well she doesnt know when to shut up XD

what i found helped me was browsing deviantART - or even gaian art arena - looking at others pictures can REALLY inspire me :B

Yup internet art galleries like DA and SA = must for me to get inspiration. Without them I have a hard time drawing... odd isn't it? For Hostile Paper Clip
