Jason had opted to stay back for now, wanting to stay close to the medical bay just in case someone needed to be patched up (there was also the shackled Sammy he had to keep a eye on). It was also a good chance to take a breather, since he may not get a chance later on. The bay itself didn't have much, but there was a supply of bandages which he took advantage of, wrapping up a deep cut on his left arm to take the edge of the pain. Thankfully the cut wasn't serious, just minor pain when swinging his blade, and that could easily be ignored. Walking out of the tent, the moon hunter heard Caroline's request for information. He hadn't seen her around before, although the one following said trainee he had seen a few times before. Usually with Robert. "R-rep has gone off to the temple with a few others. Other then that, I'm not to sure. We d-did fend off some horsemen earlier..." HP: 41

Jordan hung back for a moment, returning to where the prisoners were kept. He needed to talk to Sammy, and he needed to get a bandage or two before he went out to fight again; he'd be less than useful if he went out again on half a shield. "How'd you wind up here, like this?" he asked Sammy, staying close enough that they wouldn't have to talk too loudly.

Sammy hadn't moved much, the only thing that had changed was her hands where now in front of her instead of behind like Rep had intended for her to be.
When Jordan approached she looked up with a weary grin, "Saving the world one drunken disorderly conduct arrest at a time Jordan, Ferros." It was odd, but Sammy did have a habit of greeting both given Ferros was a creature of halloween. He deserved that kinda respect. Plus he had +2 kill counts on her right now.
"Honestly though, horsemen where bringing students and lost clans members over to help raid some temple. I know you guys are never far behind so I took in the walk in the woods, found a Horsemen trying to kill Jason and Joy and I helped them out."
She frowned, "You guys need to teach Moon's how to fight better, great defenders but they should hang out with whats-his-face twoswords. Harry?"

Jordan nodded a greeting, and the stone in Ferros's ring lit briefly in response to Sammy's acknowledgement of him. "So they're bringing students over as well as other horsemen? A loyalty test, maybe?" Which Sammy had clearly failed, as far as the horsemen were concerned; she'd be in danger if she was caught by the horsemen, now. "Cut them a little slack, they don't have as much experience," he said. "We usually don't send trainees out alone, for that reason." There were things trainees and intermediates could handle alone, and then there were things that they couldn't, and horsemen could easily fall into the latter category. A brief frown flitted over Jordan's face as he remembered how often he and his had been sent out with too little backup against too-large obstacles, but that wasn't a topic he wanted to discuss. "His name's Harrison," he added.

Melvin had been back at the perimeter barrier to check the stability by knocking his head against it and mouthing "stupid-stupid-stupid" a few times when the last caused his to look up and head where other hunters were gathering.
Something was happening and it didn't feel like it was a point in their favor. Moving to Rep, he gestured to catch his attention. "I'll scout out if anyone wants to come with."

Rep nodded to Melvin, glad of the help and it was just in time for Mikael to eagerly appear at Melvin's side like an over-eager labrador.

Melvin tensed as Mikael materialized beside him eagerly volunteering. Trying not to react too much, he focused on the task at hand. Mik and I can go check the area if you have an idea where we should be going?" He didn't want to double up with an a other team when they needed more of an area covered.

Rep nodded, giving Mikael a dubious look. From all that he'd heard the little s**t had shown no desire to fight or do anything at all and his only good feature was that he was good looking, blonde and young.
"Er. Be careful." he said, and deciding to take a little pity on the other man, sent him to the side of the temple where they'd had least reports thusfar about horseman activity. It was one thing to send him into the fray well equipped, but the blonde kid was a known ******** liability.
Mik was delighted at getting to spend more time harassing Melvin and obediently made his way to the side of the othe man. "I'll even help you fight!" he said as if this was some grand, generous undertaking. "Horsemen aren't people, so it's ok to hurt them!"

"Will try. We'll head back if we see anything too dangerous." He informed Rep before grabbing his gear and heading but out with Mik. Moving forward through the jungle alone with the other out him on edge but he kept husband eyes focused on the temple up ahead.
"Well I should hope you have my back should anything attack us. I'm mainly on healking duty but I'll take the offensive beat I am." He looked at least at Mik.
"I don't think I've seen your weapon in action much."

Mik seemed less sulky and sullen and more cheery as they moved through the jungle, a bit of a spring in his step. "I'll take care of you." he said. "You'll be ok. I used to be scared to fight, but I'm not afraid anymore. I won't hurt people, I'll help people."
He didn't summon his weapon yet though.
"He's kind of long." he said. "He's a gun meant for...far away fighting."
As they approached the temple there was a crunch in the undergrowth and a huge set of sentient armour crashed out in front of them, turning to face them with a clank of ancient steel.
"Oh...oh no." Mik said, in spite of his comments, getting behind Melvin.

"You should have some caution for them. I -" He looked at Mik and thought of all the horrible possibilities involving any mission. "-lost someone close because of them. I can't help but fear them for the ease and ruthlessness of how they could kill anyone, but I also hate them with every fiber of my being."
"Well..seems we're not alone." But it wasn't a horsemen and he wasn't sure if he should be relieved or not. Mik however seemed to want to take this enemy as a serious threat and he was glad for his display of caution even if it didn't help him.
"Come on, Mik. I can't be the only gun slinger out here. I'm going to need your help."
Aiming, Melvin fired and dinged the armor's helmet by just barely. "I..might need a lot of help."
He cringed as a branch of a tree was then thrown at them and he shouted DODGE before he moved to the left.

Mik summoned Fenrir in a flash, the long dangerous looking sniper rifle resting across his shoulder as he backed up. He hadn't really used the weapon very often, in fact the last time he had had probably been against Horace. As it was the jungle wasn't really suited for it, nor was this kind of range, but he still did his best to help Melvin out.
"I'm just.. I'm not used to.." he stammered as he looked down the scope before realising he needed to do it without the scope
He wasn't fast enough to dodge the branch, but did manage at the very least to get a shot fired before it struck him.

Treasure. It was an understandable desire and there was no denying now that there was one and that was why they were even there. It was for this reason she decided to scout on her own, drawing close to the temple. She could almost taste it.... Until she heard something. A twig snap sent her spinning around.

Guns were ranged weapons but sniper rifles were even worse and he knew that Mik would have a hard time the moment he saw his gun. Melvin's was more of a blaster than a gun and while he did like range he could manage well enough in a close-combat fight.
"Get some distance and a shot! You just have to make due. I'll try distracting it." He called to the other as he picked up a branch and waved it like a flag before dropping it to fire.
It worked as far as good string the knight to come over to him and striking against him.

Lawrence had no intention of wandering off alone, not after what happened, but a patrol turned into being hopelessly lost very very quickly in the dense jungle and even Butch's sense of smell wasn't enough to lead him back to camp.
And so there he was, far closer to the temple than he thought he'd end up and really really wishing someone strong was with him. He'd even tried calling Rodney but there was no reception at all for anyone.
