"Shun," he grunted out his name as Temperance referred to him. He took a moment to take account of what people's names were, then went back to the matter on hand. Shun had considered going first, but Al seemed ready and willing to do as such.

"If you want to take point, I will keep an eye on our rear. Just watch out for anything weird," he stated.

He wasn't sure how likely it was that something was going to be coming up from behind, but he didn't want to take any chances. Getting caught off guard was hardly ideal.

Shun stared at Juniper.

"By watching our rear, I will have to be last in line," he stated flatly, "That way I can try to deal with whatever might come from behind without anyone in my way."

Temperance sighed and worked have rubbed a hand over her face if not for it being plastic. She still didn't want to think about it too much. "Sorry, Alister, Shun." Things were getting to her a little too much and it was horrendously unbecoming.

"Alister, me, Juniper, Shun - okay. How would we dismantle the trap door? ..maybe put a stopper in the hinges." Glancing around, she looked for anything they could use to jam the trapdoor open. Over her shoulder, she called out into the audience. "Connor, Lily - you coming?"

Chris was thankful that the entire weirdness of the situation led Connor to believe him, to not question his explanation of magic. He would've been willing to explain more, of course, or to try and prove it in what limited ways he had. But it was incredibly helpful that Connor was just willing to listen and accept, and so when Connor asked his request, Chris just replied "I promise. No leaving you behind."

He watched as the magic was done, seeing some form of change happen fortunately, that there was at least proof of something physical seeming to happen. But there was no real way for him to know if it had worked, if he hadn't led Connor to try and hope only to get no results. Tentatively, he asked, "Can you see now?"

Temperance would find there was very little in the way of things to jam the hinges. Most things had been removed from the theatre, as if it was made as safe as possible for one reason or another.

"I can't get closer to that light!" The voice called out after having seemingly listened to them talking. "Messing with the door won't help you! They can change the environment! The glowy people things! This is their place but I can help if you can get me out of here!"

There were stairs that lead downward, steep and rickety. Even the light Temperance showed did not show much aside from looked like a dusty floor.

"There's a barrier I can't get past!" the voice called back.

It stung, and he hissed in a breath, but it was still something, and something was more than he had, at the moment. There was...almost a pressure, like something besides his hand pressed against the plastic that had once been his eyes, but as he spoke, it all became much different, unlike anything he had ever felt or experienced before.

He let his hand fall, and while things were still dark, he could feel again what he couldn't before. The movement of his own eyes behind closed eyelids. He opened them, blinked, a rather stunned expression on his face.

And then he turned to the man nearby, presumably Chris, his apparent saviour.

"Well, hello, handsome." He grinned, a slow grin, before letting out a strange, half laugh of pure disbelief. "That was...wow. ******** wow. How....?" He really just couldn't even believe it!

Nearby, on the stage, the others had all converged around...something. He couldn't quite see it from where he sat, but Temp's wave was returned with one in return, as he gave his head another disbelieving shake.

"I guess we should probably join them."
