"Wel it could be worse." Dwinky began while puffing out another puff. "We could have the seat away from the wall which would open us pp to a really bad night." Chances were that etheir Sabine, Hera or Rese owoul show up and tell them that they would say thatthey would needed to stay there for a night, to teahc them a lesson.
"okay so be hoenst with me he ethier goaded you into it or sweet talked you. How it go down?" he asked sense he knew Dib wouldnt loose his rize so easily or stupidly.

"I'm thinking Sabine sh'e got a soft sot for you. Though I don't think anythin aobut her is soft." Dwinky flicked the rest of his cigerate away as they left the cell The gaurd lead them out of the holding area and into a larger room that could be considered a waiting room to a certain extent.
Except it wasn't Sabine or Hera or Rese waiting or them.
"I believe you humans have a syaing, 'Thank you'?" Zim said with a smirk stanidng arms crossed in the middle fo thte room.
"I retract my former statemnt." Dwinky muttered now not sure fi he prefered the cell or not to this.

"Well i am your non complacent captive right? Alittle hard to race across the galazy when you have m ship welded to yours. Allso the debt is rather nice I wll admit no need to thank me. Or you could go back ina nd I wil tel your lovley captaint hat you let me go and she'll leave you hear to rot. Whatever works best for you." That smirk, thoug hidden under helmet, could be felt.
"I think I prefered the ell." Dwinky muttered.
"Well your free to go back if you want." Zim shrugged smirk still in full effect. "But as far as the others know none fothis even hapen. Of course if you don't want to keep ti that way tha'ts fine to ."
"So your blamailing us?" Dwinky knew thi dance well.
"I call it invesment to be collected at an appropriate time. Sounds better and more calculating."

"Such a sore loser Dib thought you'd be used to loing to me by now." It was little notice to see anyone walking out of the detainment cells so no one batted an eye to thm. However humans were a rare species so they did get osme looks, fortuantly that was all.
"And yes I could detatch my ship easily but that would make more noisetan I want right now so .. deal wiht it."
"So we are still stuck with you huh?" Dwinky coudlnt really be hoenst with himself if he said he 'liked' the Irken. Zim had a very hard personality due ot his erratic if not desturctivly violent behavior. Dwinky coudl tolerate him, yes that was a nice word but perhpes that would be it.

"Nope I'm here becuase I'm bored."

"I dont ant to know." Sabine said flalty after her and Dib finished with their sparring match. She could tell when somehting wa sup and there was somehting upm but frnakly she didn't car eor want to be envovled.
"I know the smell of a holding cell well enoug but relaxe I"m not etting the cpatian know aobut it. " The last time this happened Rese nealry throttled Dib but at the time well .. he wans't exaclty at fualt etheir.

Week Later

2.1 Million Light Years form the Milky Way East

Purple had been watching the crew carefully. Events had changed and had made many rethink their stances, not on a massive level but mre on a level of uncertanty.
Zim's disaperance weeks ago had been an anger enducing shock for the crew but what trmpted that was the Irens reapperance less than a week later.
f that wasn't enough he also carried a cruiser full of supplies for them, a strange form of trade saying he viewed them useful enough to nto fully abondon.
"Your not certian how to ask him than?" Purple asked Dib while the human was in for his weekly phsical check. The human wa sin superb health however Dib used it as an excuse, and thus so did Purple, to ask the former leader queshtons no one else dared ask or wanted to.
Despite all signs being in the green the human didn't remove himslef form the examination talbe or put hsi shirt on not that Purple care done way or naother. "As I said the action is a means of trade saying he views you enough to keep you alive or now. Or are you digging for somehting else?"

"Unknowingly or not your attempted to apply wht is considered normal irken behaivor ona Defect. It doenst work like that for us we think as you say outside the ox." Purple wouldnt shy formt he word even though it was an incorrect title. But it helped give the huamn a better context to draw fom than trying to say this Irken or that Irken ver and over again.
"Or you could ask himself again. You might have better luck this time" Purle offered witha snicker sense the last time Dib attempted talking to the other Irken it erupted into a literal fight, which resulted in the two havng to be forcablly seperated. "Besides explosives arne't hsi style from what i've learned. He seems to liek up close and personal ove far away."

Purple got more from that than Dib probalby realised. In fact the Irken wondered why it took him so long to see it, than again he had more inportnat tings on his midn than the poetnetial sick obessesion relationship of a human and an Irken. "What do you feel when you fight him than?" Purple manuvered the onversation carefully wanting to see if Dib could figure it out on his own. Irkens were violent by nautre and any attathcments were few and far between. However when they did form the vioalnce execalated to the point of obession and addiction all in one.
"Your inside knoledge such as it is, does it give you mch else on his mind set?" Je asked.

Zim had little enough desire to have the others on is side. It woudlnt matter in the long run he just needed htem to live long enough for him to do what he needed Dib's accerlated helaing would be a great assest to him and would help him. However he could do with less of the other human, but such things had to be tolerated.
