Troll:Caiden Banksy
Not eligible to win.

Maybe it was because Caiden was born with an unusual interest in all the colors, even the mutant ones, or maybe CamoDad was just a softie for his weird child, but Caiden will always remember this story from CamoDad. CamoDad had first told it to his boy when the child came back in tears from playing with some other kids. Apparently they had made fun of Caiden's favorite jacket. CamoDad probably should have gotten on the band wagon and convinced Caiden to discard the multicolored garment, but he didn't. Instead he curled the brownblooded child up in his reptile tail and climbed to the top of the tree their hive was built upon. Once the two were curled up, snug as a troll and a giant reptile could be, CamoDad pointed out a group of stars in the sky, especially one that sat right on the cusp of the moon, and explained what they were supposed to look like. The story went like this.
Quote:
"Once, long long ago, when the first white lusus accepted the first wigglier troll, and our entire lifestyle started, there was no hemospectrum. A redblood was as special as a purpleblood. There were trolls with 3 eyes, there were trolls with 4 arms, seadwellers and flying trolls. As the trolls grew they created their society, and made their laws, where things are as we see them now. But at the beginning it was the seadwellers and the winged trolls who were the rulers of the race. Of course the seadwellers were not okay with this. They declared war. It was air vs sea, with the land dwellers stuck in the middle. This was back long before any technology was around. There were no books or paint, only stories passed from lusus generation to lusus generation. In the end the winged queen saw the destruction that was happening to the land trolls. They were the ones suffering in this war. She surrendered to save them. It was suicide for her and her fellow winged trolls. As she was about to be killed by the seadweller queen, the winged queen flew into the air and said one last thing. "No matter what you end up born as, you are all trolls. Wings, fins, powers, and lungs. We are all trolls. We should all love." She then flew into the heavens, to become one with the stars. Since then the seadwellers have enforced the hemospectrum, and have shamed mutants. But the winged Queen still glitters in the stars. Every troll is a troll, no matter their color, or looks, or clothes. Don't forget that.

A-trekking through the woods I go!
Troll:Miache Gahiji
Inventory: Daywalker Spray, mushroom snufflin' gerbils, city slicker's field guide to farmland, 'used' bowie knife, night vision goggles

Location: Treaturous trench
Choice Picked: A
Item Used: Mushroom snufflin gerbils

Mushroom Count: 9
Stamina: 4/10

Miache heaved his breaths. Why had this become so exhausting? He must be out of shape or something. He walked the rather lovely, easy looking path for a distance....but as it seemed to be going his luck turned. The path veered sharply downhill, making walking nearly impossible. He groaned in pain as he crouched down, shuffling down the hill while trying as best he could to avoid getting himself dirty....rather difficult in all honesty. He couldn't believe his poor luck, it seemed every path he took was simply fated to curse him.

As the blueblood walked his way through the trench he froze, eyes wide as he heard the noise. What in the world could that--oh no. He grit his teeth and pulled a snarl. This was getting even worse. It hadn't exactly started on a high note, but somehow it get worse again. s**t, where could he go? He was too far ahead, he refused to go backwards, only thing left was to find refuge in the mountain. Maybe he could take a moment to rest as well, he could do with the breather. The Outpost hadn't exactly offered much rest for him, barely stopping there a moment before he had to soldier on.

A-trekking through the woods I go!
Troll: Alifax Bunsem 9/10 stamina
Inventory: fishing rod, daywalker spray, night vision goggles, dynamite

Location: Treacherous Trench
Choice Picked: A I'LL RAISE SARCE UP SO SHE CAN CLIMB ON MOUNTAINS
Item Used: dynamite lol

Mushroom Count: 12

That was Sarcel - dependable. Alifax's bloodpusher ached a bit as he thought about it. Why did she get to be dependable and not Frossa? She was athletic, responsible...Frossa had been some of those things before. She was a vicious fighter. Perhaps she still would be. You couldn't lose something your body remembered, right?

Well. Who cared, Alifax thought. Apparently he didn't really have control over who he gave a s**t about, and it wasn't like - it wasn't like Frossa acted the way plucking more mushrooms as they walked. There were a surprising amount of them around here, actually. It was far less sparse than it'd been back in the forest, even without dynamite or fishing rods to guide their way. At the sound of fish flopping Alifax grinned - an unusual sight. "I'm pretty excited to eat that," he admitted. He didn't really get to eat fish very much, unless he, well, caught it himself. He certainly wasn't quick enough to do it barehanded.

After a while spent walking Alifax was peeved to hear, uh - ******** - a rock? He tapped Sarcel furiously on the arm and took out his dynamite, ready to run off to the side and out of its path. Gravity meant there was only one path it'd take, right?

A-trekking through the woods I go!
Troll: Vulpin Cadmea (9/10)
Inventory: gerbs, knife, yarn

Location: Loamy Foothills
Choice Picked: A) Follow the Fauna
Item Used: Mushroom Snufflin' Gerbils

Mushroom Count: 11

Vulpin treaded softly up the mountain, careful to keep his eyes peeled for dangerous fauna and, of course, the prized mushrooms. Knowing he was alone, he gave a soft laugh. For the first time in a while he found himself enjoying a trek into the wilderness. So often he was used to seeing it as work, and work alone. But this felt different, leisurely almost. He wasn't in a hurry to see or do anything, he was mostly enjoying the sights. He could move slow and enjoy the world around him for what it was.

For a fleeting moment the orangeblood considered a more... vegetarian career. He shook it off, knowing how silly of an idea it was. Fur trapping provided him with a sustainable income. How would he live without making a frivolous purchase once in a while? He gave another soft laugh.

Vulpin set down his gerbils, a smile growing across his face as he watched the smaller, dumber beasts scramble about. They brought him a lot of entertainment this trip— no, they brought him company. Perhaps, even if they weren't that skilled, Vulpin would take them in anyways. He did always have a soft spot for docile beasts.

A-trekking through the woods I go!
Troll: Sarcel Cincil
Inventory: City Slicker’s Field Guide to Farmland, Super Protein Snack Bars, Potato Sack, Daywalker Spray

Location: Relief Station
Choice Picked: A. ONLY IF YOU JOIN ME AT THE PEAK ALIFAX
Item Used: field guide whoospsps

Mushroom Count: 7

Stamina: 9/10

"Same here," she agreed sheepishly. Had she ever had fish? Not that she could recall anyway. The smell was unusual for sure; could Alifax even cook? Well, she supposed when they met on the mountain he had been roasting that delicious—okay, okay, doubts resolved. She was 100% excited now. "We can make a picnic out of it! I mean, I guess all we have is the fish and those snack bars... maybe we'll find something else?"

The trek wasn't that difficult, but Sarcel was pretty accustomed to the mountainside. Not like Alifax was, and her shoes definitely weren't the best fit for the terrain, but she was keeping up rather nicely regardless. Remembering she had the snack bars, she opened the sack up, only to remember the fish keeping them all company. Ah... everything was a little slimy in there...

Oh well, could have been worse right? She grimaced a little as she pulled out Field Guide, now a little sopping. It was mostly still legible, but the edges of the pages were a little tattered from the rambunctious meal present in the bag. She busied herself flipping through the damp paged; was this even applicable right now? This wasn't really farmland... her focus was torn away only when Alifax was tapping on her arm. Her head snapped up, the rumbling was in her ears a moment later. Book in the bag, she was ready to bolt, "W-Watch out!"
