Aurostibite sincerely felt that, in the time it had taken him to mess with the computers, all hell had broken loose. One second he was pressing buttons, and the next he was surrounded by absolute madness. There was a cat spitting and yowling, a squire - well, doing the same thing, really, if he was honest - and the door had burst open, there was magic everywhere -
- and somewhere in the midst of it all, Jet and Aquamarine had disappeared, leaving Aurostibite stuck in the midst of a small room not large enough to hold everyone inside of it. There were too many power signatures crashing throughout, some more powerful than others, and there was only one singular ally in the room. The Dark Mirror's name had escaped Aurostibite, but he couldn't leave him behind - and yet teleporting would also use up a great deal of energy.
Which left very few options, none of which were ideal.
He'd seen what had happened to the metal in the room from the Princess' attack, and so his daggers weren't summoned - but Aurostibite made a leap for her anyway, a snarl on his face. There was little point standing around and doing nothing, after all, and going down swinging was better than simply cowering away from their attacks.
He swung a gloved hand forward, fist aimed for the Princess' stomach, but his mouth opened and a guttural yell escaped him, snarled through gritted teeth.

Juno was more well equipped to deal with Typhon, but Verona didn't really wanna be left behind in the fight. The weirdo with cracks in him proved to be faster, but Verona was strong enough to take a hit.
And she took the one he dolled out, head snapping back after he connected. While Juno might get a kick in, Verona's fist swung in retaliation, aiming to return the little love tap before.
Elsa was starting to really hate magic. First there was the squeal and crack of whatever the hell the Squire had done, and then the Princess - who, by the way, was terrifying as ******** to be in the presence of, god he was so many different shades of doomed - did something that made the metal of his bracers and his brooch tug towards Jet - but not strong enough that they actually came off, which was good because he needed to keep hanging onto this damn Squire.
Even though she elbowed him. Which hurt, but he was used to tangling in street fights - he could take an elbow.
He pressed his hand to the Squire's face, the only bit of bare skin he could find. His magic had damned well better work this time, because he was done playing games. "Wendigo Creep!" This time there was no hesitation in him - no part of his mind that said that he shouldn't hurt her, or he should stop and let her go.
There was no room for that. Not now. So as the frost crept from his hand over her skin, he glared around her at the Eternal and the Princess.
"Back the ******** off or I swear I will ******** kill her," he said. It was mostly empty - he wasn't sure he had it in him to murder someone - but he could probably at least put the fear of getting eaten by evil snow monsters in them. Maybe.
Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Wendigo Creep! Elsa grabs an exposed part of one target's skin and speaks the name of his attack, and frostlike patterns begin to travel out from his hand. He must maintain his grip for five seconds, and if he does, the target begins to experience a cold chill, and hallucinate that there is a Wendigo stalking them, which comes with a creeping sensation of being hunted and the smell of rotting flesh. These effects last for thirty seconds total. Elsa can use this attack three times per battle.

Okay. Time for a new strategy. Like now before this poor girl looses her starseed. Aaru brought the candle that was in his other hand, lighting the tip with his finger before sitting up straight. The wax melted quickly and he did didnt hesitate to take action. The page preyed this would work as he bent his arm back, swinging forward to slam the burning candle onto the negas head as hard as he could. He raised his right hand after, balling it into a fist before aiming to bring it down right on the side of his jaw. Shame he had to mess up that pretty hair...
She hadn't expected Aquamarine to jump in the way of Jet. But in the end it didn't really matter, in fact, it probably worked better for her. Because the attack came from all angles it injured both of them and, much to her surprise and delight, the two teleported out of the office. There was a possibility they'd come back, but for the moment Polaris was simply relieved to get the knives away from Maia and cut down the number of opponents in the office. She had no intention of following them out.
"Are you guys okay?" She called out to Maia and the squire, her question answered as Elsa's threat sounded. She didn't know what the attack did, but the fact that she could see something moving from him towards the squire meant it was already enacted. Unfortunately for Elsa, Polaris threw out a threat of her own, one that was not nearly as empty or a bluff. "You'd better be sure you can kill her faster then it takes for me to drive some metal threw you."
She had registered Aurostibite's yell somewhere in the back of her head. Had maybe noticed him coming at her from her periphrel vision. But with her attention on the Dark Mirror senshi she wasn't able to dodge the captain's attack, the pain striking her as his fist found her stomach. A huff of air escaped her, and she tried to suck it back in on instinct.
With a power as offensive as her she often got away without having to do any actual hand to hand combat. But today, in this tiny little office she didn't have that luxury. Her wings jutted out wide in an attempt to push him back and away from her, to give her a second to collect herself so she could defend. Just like the good old days. She had it in her right?
She looked ridiculous. Royal and regal clothing and braids still drenched from Typhon's attack, basically a drowned rat with giant wings, and now she was raising her arms and fists, apparently planning on fistacuffs. Really if it weren't for that engulfing aura she'd hardly look intimidating at all.

Umber snapped from song, and the increased activity in the office forced him toward the periphery until he could deduce how to proceed. Aquamarine took a hit that looked nigh fatal, the princesses encroached, and Elsa came around to deal with Mistral. One of the princesses proved entirely too lethal with her ability to send metal toward Aquamarine and effectively decommission him - Umber considered, then, that abandoning the position might better serve the Negaverse and their situation. The Negaverse agents on the train should have gathered enough starseeds by now.
Jet managed the common sense to teleport his subordinate out of the office, though that left less of a Negaverse presence inside. Aurostibite was in the area, so any retreat would need rerouting through him.
Over a short distance, Umber despised considering teleportation, but the princesses lethal power forced the quick debate. He still resorted to darting between computer desks and cacophony to reach his target. Unfortunately, on his way there, an explosion of static erupted nearby and jarred the captain significantly. He startled, stumbled, and clasped hands to ears temporarily to soothe their burden. Lurching forward, he finally reached Aurostibite's position.
His words came simply, and lacked the formality often expected of Negaverse agents. "We need to call a retreat. We can't hold the office." Luckily Aurostibite wouldn't need an explanation - he stood in the center of it.
If one of the generals came into the area, he'd need to radio them himself. But with Cinnabar elsewhere and Xenotime indisposed with her fight against one of the princesses, there were none to act in aid.

"Sitting around out in the open seems like the safest bet." From his understanding of powered life, refusing to become Scholomance prevented the outpour of an aura that the remainder would sense - and while he couldn't imagine the clutter of auric energy in such a small space, he expected that his proximity from the rest might draw attention. Mostly the civilians scattered about looked untouched, despite the presence of more shadowy creatures intending to devour them. The 'dragon lady' this cowboy mentioned wasn't terribly far, either.
"They're all clustered out there," he gestured vaguely with a wave of his hand. "No way in hell am I going to approach that mess."
Inwardly Isaiah suspected that following this man might lead him into the line of fire, but social awareness suggested that he wouldn't leave the business owner behind. Isaiah imagined physical dragging may ensue, so he acquiesced to the plans that the other man had in mind. "fine, but be quick about it - I'd rather die of lung cancer than meet with a shitty fate here." Isaiah started into a trot to meet up with the girl in a coat shuffling about with a white-haired burden. Others were nearby, one he recognized as Cor Caroli from his encounters as Scholomance, but he offered no wave as Isaiah. He suspected he'd be recruited into assisting with the carry of the fallen.

Xenotime felt her fist connect about a split second before a set of large, blunt knuckles cracked into the side of her face and sent her head snapping back at a sharp angle and though it loosened her hold on soft curls, it didn't remove it. When she stumbled she took the princess along as well with another harsh yank as fingers tightened once more.
She caught herself on her knee, the fingertips of her free hand briefly touching the ground at her side before she was pushing up once again to face the knight that had assaulted her. "Not bad." Her jaw ached where he'd hit her--bruised down to the bone--and already the pale skin was darkening with a wicked bruise. "Better than most, I'll give you that." The fist in Ganymede's hair twisted painfully, but only for a second before the general was using that hold to shove her harshly towards the ground as a leg swept back to wind up for a kick to woman's side.
Whether or not it connected, Xenotime's attention was torn away from the fight by the near desperate call from Aurostibite in the office. The general jerked around, saw the other princess engaged with the agents that had been in holding the office, and she snarled a curse beneath her breath as pale eyes jumped to Umber, back to Aurostibite, then onto the white haired princess.
This was turning into a real ******** they didn't have leverage over the knight and his b***h anymore, attacking them was more a luxury than anything else. Fun, but the general's attention would better serve elsewhere. She cast a last cold look at the princess and the new knight, then she was gone, teleporting away to leave the blonde to her fallen lover.
She reappeared before Polaris, placing herself bodily between the other agents and the princess. A human shield, better suited to handle the threat the other woman presented. "Back the ******** off my agents!" Feral and fierce, Xenotime already had a hand back, was already taking a step forward to plant her feet for balance as her small fist started forward in an upward arch directed at the other girl's face.

While he did mean to make contact, he hadn’t meant for Ganymede to be dragged along with the General. A General with some serious fighting spirit in her for trying to take on a Princess while two other knights stood by. Well, one was somewhat incapacitated, but regardless, there were two knights and a princess.
Sessrumnir shook his hand out after stepping back from the blow, but before he could respond to her, she was trying to attack Ganymede once more. He reached out to try and catch her before she crumpled completely to the ground, also wanting to try and pull her away from the General’s reach. Luckily for them, she seemed to be busy trying to respond to some kind of distress call from one of her own.
“You okay?” he quickly asked, trying to help Ganymede back to her feet, and then quickly looking to see how his brother was doing.

Valhalla has definitely had better days. He continued to empty the contents of his stomach until there was nothing left, although even then he couldn’t stop. His head was spinning as cold sweat fell from his face. He knew he probably looked pale and unfocused from the ordeal, but he’d never experienced something like this after his starseed was tampered with. Mostly it was just pain, but this? This was something that actually concerned him.
He could hear Ganymede fighting and shouting in pain, a General attacking her, and another figure close by, but his vision wasn’t coming back into focus as quickly as he’d like. It was too hot, and he lifted a hand to fumble with the pin in the shape of Jupiter’s symbol that kept his cape over his shoulders. Even with that off, it was too hot.
But there was fighting close by. He needed to help Ganymede. Valhalla was tempted to try and use his magic, knowing that it would likely backfire as it had every time he tried to use it since Laurelite, but he couldn’t seem to find where the compass was.
Wiping his face with the back of his hand, he forced himself to get up, stumbling into one of the pillars that held up the roof and weight of the station above. “G-Ganymede,” he called weakly, surprised by the sound of his own voice. It sounded small and unsteady. He felt like he was going to be sick again...

He'd managed, surprisingly, to get a good, solid hit against the Princess' stomach, a hiss of satisfaction slipping through his clenched teeth. Aurostibite felt something against his side, her wings sending him staggering backwards, feathers in his face, and he gave a muffled grunt of irritation, eyes flashing.
A voice to the side brought Umber to his attention, Aurostibite twisting to look at him. He didn't need to answer, only knew that he was right - they'd done what they could for the office, there was no need to stay when there was. He was not desperate, nor too wrapped up in his concept of defense not to know when a tactical retreat was necessary.
He kicked out, aiming for the Princess' side with a sharp kick, but Xenotime's untimely arrival threw him off balance. He'd certainly called for backup, yes, and he did respect and appreciate her for how well she was usually able to handle herself - but her assumption that he was, in essence, her agent brought a brief sense of annoyance flickering through him, reminded him yet again why he was here in the first place. He served the Negaverse.
It was no matter. Aurostibite was not about to stay when there was no purpose. He would leave the Princess to Xenotime, find a way to recuperate and get their goal accomplished.
Umber was given a nod, and then with a slight displacement of air, Aurostibite had teleported away, landing with a soft tap of his boots outside the office. He immediately made a beeline for Jet and Aquamarine, hair cascading down his back in messy, disrupted curls.
"Wrong target," he said, with a pointed look at Jet, but - "Do you need help?"

Things had shifted by the time Cinnabar came stalking back to the fight, murder in the set of her snarling mouth and blazing eyes. A sweep of them showed the princess and her savior engaged by Xenotime, which pleased the half youma. Together, she and the fighter could do some major damage, even if one of their opponents was a princess. Combat training went a long way in a brawl like this, and now there was youma surging in her veins, filling her with stolen power.
She almost jumped back into it, save that someone was calling for a General and Cinnabar couldn’t turn away.
The one calling was a captain, by the power she felt from him, and he held an injured lieutenant, head on his lap. Ignoring Xe and her opponents for now, growling annoyance at being diverted, Cin changed course to bring her to the captain’s side in a handful of long, ground-eating strides.
“Go.” She hissed at her youma and the three seeming-insects surged forward, going for the nearest order signatures they felt.
God, I’m going to die… The moan from the lieutenant on the ground made Cin snort in foul-tempered amusement as she sank to a crouch beside the pair. Her check was cursory, taking in both sets of wounds and the amount of blood on clothing.
“I think that is enough battle for you two.” Cin seized each shoulder in her hand, black claws pricking through fabric. As another captain joined them she had time to note peacock feathers and dark hair, but little else.
"I'll take these two out." She said to the stranger, casting about to make sure they weren't going to be bum rushed during this pause. Her tone said clearly that she expected to obeyed. "If you're injured, get out. If not, find someone who can't teleport and stick close to them until the retreat is sounded."
With a wrench, she hauled both young men with her as she teleported safely outside of the subway, landing on the grass in a secluded park space a short distance from the entrance. When she released them, the General reached and pulled the weapon from the lieutenant’s side with only passing thought to his comfort and replaced it with a tight, gripping hand to staunch the flow of blood. Her free hand dug into her pocket and from it she produced two glowing starseeds… gifts from the family she’d culled earlier.
“Eat these.” Cinnabar demanded as she shoved one at the unknown captain and then pressed the other to the lietenant’s mouth. “This is why we’re told to cary one for emergencies, Boys. Miracle pills, in small quantities.”
Three insect looking feral youma are loose outside the office! Any order characters nearby are free to have one take notice of them, otherwise I'll assume they'll start attacking whatever civilians are left. Strick is also encouraged to snag them for his own nefarious purposes if it pleases him as the GM. <3
Mistral knew magic when she saw it. She was deeply involved in its study, spent her weekends up to her elbows in magitech and her wonder's inner workings. And senshi - senshi were easy to predict. Mistral felt chill. Mistral smelled rotting flesh. Mistral saw movement at the corners of her vision.
Mistral heard the senshi say that he was going to, quote-unquote, <******** kill her.
"Oh my god," said Mistral. "Are you ******** kidding me."
"First," she said, slapping his hand away, "If you were going to kill me, you should have grabbed with both hands."
"Second, you think the ******** abominable snowman's going to scare me?" She was a little bit scared, but it was all in her head. It wasn't real. She wasn't going to let that show. I've been colder than this. "Do you know who I am?"
She turned towards the senshi, pulling herself up to all five feet four inches of her height. "Do you know who I am?" she demanded, drawing her arm back into a fist. Nothing else in the office mattered to her right now, not bleeding lieutenants or princesses asking after her or anything. "I'm Mistral, punk!"
She threw the punch at his face.
"Get the <********> out of here," she snarled, and threw a glance towards the general taking on Polaris. There was nothing she could do about that fight - if the dark mirror senshi followed her advice, then she was going to go for the console again.

Maia rolled away from the lieutenant when they both went crashing to the ground. He unfortunately for him, broke her fall and fortunately for her was to winded to fight further as Maia stood to her feet.
Polaris swept in calling out an attack on the captain and prevent him from doing farther damage to her, though the slice on her arm was half her own fault. The lieutenant and the captain teleported out. Leaving another captain and the dark mirror in the office with Maia, Polaris and Mistral. Maia made a break for the console, righting it after the captain jostled and pulled it away before.
"We're fine, thanks coming to help. We need to stop the trains. I'm going to try again."
She looked at the all the buttons rather confused and looked for the red button she pushed before. Right as she pushed it, all hell seemed to break loose again. The remaining captain attacked Polaris and the dark mirror threatened to kill Mistral.
Maia turned frowning fist balled tightly, but it seemed as Mistral punched the dark mirror in the face she had it covered and the captain had nothing on Polaris. However, the general who saught to punch her in the face earlier came in and Maia shook her head.
"Mistral, the console," she said as she stepped forward and called out her first attack. "Sweet Harmony."
She started to sing again, facing the general and the captain, the music filling her and the notes popping into existence before spinning in a mini tornado towards the captain and the general.
Jet looked up when he felt the aura of an officer approaching him, but the relief he felt was fleeting when he saw it was Aurostibite. Had this been a different setting and had Aquamarine not been sporting one of his own daggers in his side, Jet might have taken the Lieutenant’s hysterics as a good sign; at least he had enough fight in him. But as it were, with them both covered in their own and each other’s blood by this point, all Jet could do was stare helplessly at Aurostibite, unable to stop the tears.
First his parents, then Sorin, a Negaverse Captain himself, and now Aquamarine? It was too much for Jet to handle. “P-please,” he practically begged, not caring what Aurostibite might think of him as long as he was able to help Aquamarine. “I-I don’t know w-what to do,” he sobbed, holding his friend as tightly as he thought would be safe, given their injuries caused by that Princess’s attack.
Thankfully, he didn’t have to find out if Aurostibite would actually help him or just stand and laugh, for the General he’d sensed before approached them and said she would take the two of them out. And while Jet hated feeling as helpless as he did, he was thankful that someone would actually be helping Aquamarine.
Suddenly, with the General’s ability, they were no longer in the chaotic subway, but sitting in some soft grass. It was almost deafening in its quietness there when compared to the subway. Jet winced when she pulled the dagger from Aquamarine’s side, and then looked up in surprise when she handed him a starseed, before having Aquamarine take one too. He stared at the gem in his hand for just a few moments, before lifting it to his mouth to eat as directed. It was the first time he’d actually eaten a starseed, but the General was right in that it replenished his energy.
“M-my name is Jet, General… T-this is Aquamarine. Thank you…” he tried holding back the tears now that he knew they were out of the subway, but it was difficult after that close call. “S-should we power down, or…?” He had a feeling Aquamarine should be taken to the hospital just in case...
