Jaw set again, he gave her a slight nod about getting it back. When she spoke again, he regarded her a moment from the corner of his eye. "I have a feeling you will be able to sense something then." When the glow started to appear around her, he instinctively moved a ways away from her. It brought back a memory and he was not prepared to deal with what she was able to do when her aura showed. Now was simply not the time to try and process that happening again. "Anything?" His voice was quiet as he gazed from her to the surrounding area.

((For what it's worth, how I think it's set up is if you think of the booths as a sort of long, wide pathway, Orrin is at the far, far end of it, out of eyesight still, Gwen, Lucky and Minty are kinda in the middle with Xashowd floating above, while Sammy and a few of the Gwen-shadows are slightly further down, Sammy isn't visible to the rest of the group right now but she could probably hear anything yelled at her. So I suppose it depends where you think the Hall of Mirrors came out at?
Monster, River, Falinn and Dr. Sciurus are all in imaginary limbo somewhere having naptime and snacks because they're smarter than the rest of us and you can't convince me otherwise.))

Determining the winner now to give people time to focus on their anons for the upcoming event. ^^ If your character wins I'll quote you and you can have them find it wherever they are in the story. They can keep it for themselves, return it to the museum, whatever, just please no using its power to god-mod or anything like that. <3 The thread will stay open for a while though so you can keep posting till you're bored.
Congrats Ravena! To answer your question a little more, there's a vague map I drew up in the spoiler button on the first page. Since the House of Mirrors is in the same area of where Sammy's hiding (the side show tents up on the bleachers) she might be able to sense her. She's not transformed but she did manage to summon her wand.

(OoC: I'm so sorry for not responding in the past few days, I'll try to tonight. I'm in the middle of moving into a new house so I spend my mornings moving stuff and then my afternoons and evenings are spent at work. So I've been an exhausted wolfy, but I'll try to muster up the energy tonight.

*No problem! I've been kinda at a loss as to what to do myself. Looks like things are wrapping up though, so I'll think of something once the dust settles.*
((I was waiting for Gwen, but I think I'm gonna go ahead since she's gotta do the moving thing. Probably not as good as it could be, but sometimes you need done more than you need good))
The little pink healing spell collided with Minty...or rather it collided with a cocoon of magics that surrounded her. Powerful dragon magics snapped at the little healing spell, their anger fueled by the terror of the soul they were tied to, sparks of magic beginning to go off like fireworks around Minty as she struggled to her feet. Sammy's healing spell threaded through webs, sparking and shining as it collided with other spells. It speed along strings of magic, mystic powers and down right miracles. Layer by layer, the healing spell was allowed to pass.
Minty had found her feet and was up and running again. The air around her alive with auroras and star showers, and the occasional mass of tentacles and eldritch eyes appearing and staring into the souls of the nearby before disappearing again. None of this seemed to concern the woman at the center of it all. Minty ran through the fairgrounds like a travelling pyrotechnic show, her mind focused with animal intent on escape. All the while the little pink spell made it closer to it's target.
Fate (or more like errant magics) decreed that Minty's flight path would bring her into a head-on collision with Orrin, the very person she was seeking. As magics, and particularly very old magics, have a flair for the dramatic, Sammy's spell was allowed through the final mystical barrier between it and Minty. There was a last, blinding flash of light and then the healing spell glowed, stemming the flow of blood and knitting together skin and muscle before fading.
And just like that, the magics around Minty were gone with no evidence they had ever been there. They left behind what was, for all intents and purposes, a perfectly ordinary human. For her part, Minty sobbed with relief into Orrin's chest.

A tiny flicker, like a small firefly, blossomed near the concession stands. She couldn't see who it was, but she could feel the magic coming from them. To her, it looked like a small pink flame, scatters of magical residue emanating from its center. 'Finally, some luck!' Letting her aura fade out, Rae opened her eyes, a smile lighting up her features.
"I found something! It's only a flicker, but-- Toby?" Pausing mid sentence, the smile slowly fading, she saw Toby was not as close as he had been only a moment before. That's right, he wasn't fond of her powers. It must have reminded him of bad things again. 'Moron, get your head in the game!' she thought, silently berating herself. She approached her friend, slowly so as not to spook him. "I found someone with residual magical energy. We can find them and maybe see what's going on out there.." It was a shot in the dark, but maybe they could ask for help in their search.
Just a she was about to suggest they head on over there, Rai reappeared, flickering excitedly. "My Lady, I found it!" Blinking in surprise, she took a quick look over Toby's way before holding out her hands to the star. Without further ado, he drops the astrolabe into her waiting hands, still chattering excitedly in Stellar. Switching over to his language, the tiny princess examines the astrolabe in curious delight. She owned an astrolabe of her own, of course, but that one was an older model.
"You did it, Rai! Where did you find this?" Though Toby probably couldn't tell what was said, her tone was definitely happy, and anyone could see why. "When you and Tobias found that hidden room, it got me thinking. What if the thief had stashed it in another room just like it? I scoured the separate floors, and finally found it buried beneath a loose floorboard in a hidden room on the second floor. My Lady, this is the genuine article!" Turning back to Toby, she switched back to English so he could understand her better. One day, she would have to teach him to speak the language of the stars, too.
"Toby, Rai found it in another hidden room where the maze was! Now we can turn the moon back to normal.. although I'm not sure how to do that.." Her voice trailed off, happy tone fading away with the smell of cherry blossoms. This astrolabe was a newer model than the one resting in a display case in her study at the palace, so she had no idea how to operate it. However, she knew of someone that could. Maybe her sister Lucky could provide some insight? There was only one way to find out.
((I was going to wait for the others to respond, but since everyone ha been busy bees, I thought I might try to move it along a bit more before the event begins.))
