Zar shook his head and made a no big deal gesture. "Even if I was upset. Like I said, I was being petty over things which are pointless. I should only look at the positives and not get bogged down" His tail hadn't uncoiled from where he'd put it moments before. "I'm just so negative you know? Silly me, sometimes I just get carried away."
He cared too much, he always made the mistake, cared too much when the world frankly didn't give jack about him and never had. Sometimes in his hopefulness he forgot that everything had to be a fight, that there was no downtime or reprieve, not really, not ever. Even this booth, meant as a place of relaxation was far from a sanctuary.
And part of him felt there was justice in it. Barth would not give him what he wanted, but in doing so he would ensure that Zar would not relax at all that day, in fact he was more tense and tightly wound than he could remember being in months. It was only a pity that Barth couldn't feel it twanging on every pleasant easy-going word he spoke.

"Upset over...?"
Barth proceeded very, very warily. He felt like he'd woken up and found himself in the middle of a minefield.

"The rose was irritating, that was all. But like I say, it's irrelevant, I was being inwardly focused and selfish about it. It's a useful artifact I'm sure. I should get one for myself someday, maybe one that makes my jaw more sturdy." And he rubbed said jaw with his thumb and forefinger.
Barth got a slow blink for his troubles and a raised brow. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"Me? Al-alright, I suppose. If you're alright... Ah. Ahhh, the rose. That, err, well," Barth toyed with it, swirling it slowly in its lapel. It shifted color subtly, hypnotizingly beautiful in its own right. He didn't have to wear it the whole 24 hours, any part of the flower kept its effects the rest of the day, even without being present.
"I'd thought," he tried, "since there were, crowds, you know, it might err- might be an ideal time to test its range. I thought of putting out err, a bowl of the petals, you know, they're effective on their own- I err, I explained it to you earlier, didn't I? But thought, well, the environment wasn't particularly contained- they're regenerative, you know, but it's been impossible isolating any of the singular properties. So, since I am relatively stationary...and since this is a public function..."

Zar nodded in open interest which showed he was indeed completely alright and not harboring some deep bitter resentment just below the surface. His tail uncoiled just a fraction.
"Ah so it was an experiment." he said. "That makes sense." And it did, it was just a selfish one, like him running a booth where the mandatory thing to do was standing and walking around. He looked keen. "You did explain it to me, yes, I was just unclear on a few minor details." It wasn't that he had forgotten most of said details, that he hadn't really understood in the first place. Once again he felt like he was being lectured by his father for being an idiot as he lost the thread of what the other demon was talking about. Contained environments, regenerative, singular properties...
But he tried to maintain he he followed. "But that clears things up. I did not know the petals were effective individually." The idea of more people being effected by the heinous object made him want to retch in disgust. "It was probably the best idea to keep it just on you on this occasion, it would likely go terribly wrong somehow if it got out."
The tail neatly re coiled itself.

In a bout of adventure, odd enough for him, Waits wandered away from the safe haven of his brother's booth with little to no aim. Perhaps simply to look what the interesting creatures of Halloween had put together. For the most part, things did look interest; what with the games and contraptions they had all put together. It was a shame things were to be closing soon, perhaps he should have ventured out a little further a little earlier. Well, in time he would try to meander to a few of them.
For now, however, there was a particular sign that hung over a booth that held his attention. Not to mention the large sofa and over sized pillows that just seemed so soft and comfortable. (Though, really, he could find anywhere comfortable). Thought there was interest, Waits still held a placid expression with half lidded eyes as he made his way over to that booth that promised of naps. His black wings fluttered slightly as gazed upon all that it beheld and even dared to reach down to a pillow and pressed a bony finger to it; a test really, how soft was it? "Is the game to see how long one could sleep?" He asked to no one in particular. That could easily be won.
There was a human fable about beds though, off the top of his head he couldn't recall it. The horsemen hummed softly as he glanced about. Would that be it? Or something else.
At that time noticing the small dispenser of tickets. (Which he pulled).
Either way, he made his way properly inside and decided to test all the cushions and pillows for good measure. (Oh, there were drinks, how delightful).

Lock tried grabbing one more, but the ticket ripped and it was ruined. He supposed there was an elegant lesson here about the hubris of man or something.
But he just stepped aside and let the next person take their ticket. He'd come back later.

Having long debunked his theory as to how napping affected his ability to handle the electricity booth, Arrakis was more than willing to take another detour for a rest. This was easily turning into one of his favourite booths here, to be completely honest. It was good for a breather! On his way in, he remember to try and snag a ticket from the reel. Well, he tried to anyway. He was a bit too casual with it, and the ticket tore. Well, oops. Shrugging, Arrakis continued further in, found an open chair this time, stretched out his long frame, and dozed off.

Quillan suddenly felt very tired after seeing the sofas, pillows, and blankets and decided he might as well take a small ... nap ...
The ink demon woke up after a strange dream and started walking back to his booth. He saw a bunch of tickets, and sleepily reached to grab them, but tripped and ripped the ticket in half by accident. At this point, he was awakened by the realization of what he'd done and he quickly tried to smash the two ends of the ticket together (as if that would magically mend it), failed, gave up, and quickly left before anyone could realize what he'd done.
