He shrugged. Guy didn't give a ******** really. He didn't even sound repentant of his error- he just sat there and waited. And in a bit, a man who looked in his mid-forties walked in, wearing a long white lab coat. His black hair hung to his shoulders, with hazel eyes staring inquisitively at Eripse, though it wasn't an intense stare.
"She was right... it's not entirely good. One whole arm and a leg. I've seen this before, but I still have questions to ask you. How long have you been like this, miss?"

Eripse studied the man quietly, long and hard, eyes furrowing into his face like a million maggots, eating his features, and storing them like fat, into her memory....
"The arm's been gone for a good eighteen years. The leg is a recent problem. White Phosphorous." She explains simply, slowly rising to her full height of four feet, and scowling at him.
"And who, exactly are you?"

"My name's Dr. Frank Neuman. And yours, miss?" His tone was no less professional or polite, despite the searing look she was giving him. His opinion of her hadn't changed... yet. He was a patient man, and could even deal with people like the man sitting next to Eripse with very little effort.

Eripse would slowly move forward, offering her good hand. "Erica Baird." She executes this lie flawlessly, looking around... "So... Do I get to peruse the merchandise first, or do you recommend something, or what?"

The good doctor nodded and said, "There are plenty of accessories to choose from here. It'd probably be best if you did look for something." Let's head towards the showroom here and see if we can't get you set up with something. If you'll follow me..."
He headed towards the room to their left... and she'd see pretty much everything in any metal, including some rare ones. There was nothing illegal though- he did have his morals about him. He wasn't officially a part of the black market- he was just a doctor who was heading towards the place where people needed him the most.
"Just pick a set and we'll get you started based on your measurements. Simple enough procedure."

"Erica" as it was, would study everything in site, curious. Fingers mulled on lips, talons nibbled quietly... "Mmm..." Eyes glazed thoughtfully, peering at one of the higher end arms, High Density alloy, Flexibility, Strength... She'd purr, reaching to point at it, thoughtfully. "This. And a matching leg." She says simply, purring, as she turned to peer at the doctor.

He nodded for a moment. "Hmm... Titanium. Quite a good choice- it won't be easy to shoot through or destroy, except when it's trumped with a stronger metal. There is something stronger, naturally... so how about this one?"
He directed her over to another one that was quite shiny and had a pattern forged design. "It's a pattern-forged combination of steel and titanium- more resistant to damage than either alone and still flexible. Not to mention it does have its asthetic side to it, with the water marks and wave pattern. Interested?"

Erica would shrug, and nod. "Yeah." She says simply, and looks around more, quiet and thoughtful. "Hmm... Would I be able to get... Talons?" She lifts her good hand, showing off the rather nice talons. A shiny black, and to a decently violent tip.

The doctor looked at her good arm closely, wondering if he had something like that in that compound alloy. "It could take a bit in order to manage that. That is, if we don't have something like that in your size already... let me check." He went to a nearby computer, checked the inventory...
"Ah, there we are. We do have something exactly like that. Seems that no one's taken it, not even as a show piece. It's right up your alley, Erica. We'll get you fitted for one right away, if you'll just step into the examination room."

Erica would do so with a little yawn, one of boredom...
"Little past my bedtime, eh doc?" She murmurs with a lazy smile, sitting on an exam table if there was one.
She watches him closely, oddly enough not exactly trusting. She didn't know why...

There was no outward reason to be untrusting of the doctor, really. He was just doing his job. He began taking measurements of the whole arm and leg, making small talk as he did so.
"So then, how long have you been in the city? It's a quite dangerous time for Aekea, mind you. I doubt you're here for just the tour. Oh, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to; I'm just a bit curious, is all."

Erica would be as helpful as she could, not resisting the measurements. "I've been here for a good hour and a half, maybe a bit more." She merely answers, watching him work.
"No, not here for the tour... Hardly."

The doctor shrugged. "I didn't think so. But it's not my place to ask any further. We'll talk about payment options later as soon as you are capable of doing so. Or would you rather talk about it now, before the operation? Mind you, it could take a few hours."
What? You thought it'd be for free? Please... he wasn't exactly running community service. He had to have money in order to keep the place running.

"Step out." If he didn't obey, she'd become more aggressive, but... subtly. She'd aim her shotgun at his knee, through the sleeve. If this didn't work, She'd glance at the doctor. If he'd left entirely, or the doctor ushered him out, she'd begin to explain, producing a pouch.
"The fee is inside, and then some, for information. About fifty thousand. I have a request, on top. You don't put me under, for the surgery. Information wise, I want you to tell me everything you know about the illegal prosthetic users. Where they get their goods, what their goals are... As a supplier, I'm sure you know what they're doing, or atleast you've heard things."

The guy didn't have to think twice after a look from the doctor. When she explained that the amount was there with her, he smiled. When she explained that there was more, but he had to give something in exchanged, he started to nod... but when she explained what it was she wanted, he stopped nodding, his head still inclined. After lowering it and looking her square in the eye, he sighed.
"...You do understand that these are serious times. They're still my patients however, and I have to keep our interaction confidential. One thing I will say however is that they don't get their additional parts from here, and once they get the standard things they don't come back.
"There is one store I do hear rumors of... that would be the one somewhere in the furthest part of the south city, a few miles from where we are. Other than that, I have no idea. You should check there... but it's only a rumor, nothing more.
"I thought you were here for something else... but don't worry- this is kept between us just like everything else. But... why would you not want anesthesia? This stuff hurts, y'know."
