He pulled out of it like the others and said nothing and thought less of what he had seen. He simply picked up another bottle without realizing it was one he had already tasted before...
He was alone again but this time knowingly, this time having witnessed the destruction that had taken place and had seen all of those that had died in its wake; those that he could name and those he could say in some small sense he might have cared about in the littlest.
This time had had left the clans by choice to wander alone as he was, to find a quiet spot in the destruction and rest. He paid no mind as his Humbug Infected, Lurks, fluttered about his head, following him like a loyal creature even with its inane chatter. It wasn't a true companion. Not like... well, them, any of them... even in the littlest sense...

On reflex, Waits reached for another bottle and explored the contents. It had an interesting taste to it, he wondered how others took to it...
"I was going to try to tame it," he muttered under his breathe in annoyance - thankfully with the mic set to off. Still though, even if he didn't manage to send anything through the online system he got a few messages onscreen from his current party member.
Ying - the archer of the group - seemed concerned, was asking him why he wasn't following or collected his loot. Then asked if he had lag.
It took him a minute to compose his response as it had to compose himself. Coming back to this game was more than what he had expected, everything changed in the few years since he had left it and it was hard to handle again. Everything was different, the dynamics of the characters, the enemies they faced and even his own character. Part of him felt lost. And he didn't want to admit it, nor that he did not like everyone else in the group - that Shaheen chick just totally killed that thing. But he wouldn't complain, not at least to Ying. She had been nice enough to let him join in.
"Sorry, was trying to figure out controls again." He told her over pm.
She replied with an 'okay' and a smiley face and another offer to guide him through it. He declined. And walked his character over to collect the left over spoils - at least there were a few things that he could use in his alchemy job. That was at least worth it.
Then he decided to ask, "can you tame those things? They're really cool."
What he got back was a laughing face and a no, Ying then went on to explain how the Insanity mobs were not unattainable because of their power. How hax it would be and all that jazz.
He sighed.

Waits returned the bottle to its rightful place as he let the haze of the dream fade from his vision. He gave the table a bored sort of look, growing a bit tired of its games and its inability to release him.
Though, the different scenarios he encountered were rather fascinating - hm.. could he keep these liquids as well? Tempting but he moved on, rounded about the table and chose another.
Sour...
Sour was the look he gave his brother as he was pulled through the hallway of the Deus dormitories. He had just gone through the cover and retrieved his weapon and now had a screaming voice in his head that wouldn't shut up and clicked audibly - apparently it had been some sort of insect. Combining it with the inane chatter of his hyperactive brother. Well, nightmare inducing.
With the nature of the island, as he was beginning to learn about from the babbling, Waits would have expected any excitable nature from Lurks - a nickname for him since childhood - to be toned down. No, it was still there even after being a Hunter for a little longer before he woke up. (Maybe he just hadn't seen a lot to mature...)
"So, we have to go live in the basement?" The taller of the brothers asked as he was lead down a flight of stairs.
"Yeah! No room up stairs but its still really cool down here, lots of bugs and creepy things." Lurks grinned, wiggling his fingers as he explained.
"Could be interesting." Waits replied still, pushing his glasses into place as he looked at the charred looking walls they were now travelling through. The place looked like it was once a dungeon. (Could be fun, yes).
He let his eyes linger on the barred doors, a few open to see what were placed inside - some set back to the standards of a normal looking room despite the concrete and the lack of windows, that didn't seem to be too much of a problem for him. Lurks went on explaining as much as he knew about the divisions, expressing his hope they were in different ones that were compatible to work together, and a few of the schedules and duties of each.
"Life seems like it would be fitting." He remarked when they finally got to the room he had been assigned, right next to Lurks'....

Drink 1
Sammt wandered into the last room, it looked like it was set up for drinking, people of each faction where milling about grabbing bottles and seeming to gaze off into the distance confused and dreaming? No one seemed to be dropping dead so poison was out, but why the dazed looks?
Grabbing a bottle she took a sip and found out first hand why.
The game was familiar, Sammy was Mantis again, sword in hand slipping the blade between the ribs of the strange bug. Waits was near by, cutting through a few more bugs in the strange house. They'd been playing for hours and they still hadn't found any good loot yet.
"So we go? Basement?"
The words where cut short garbled, strange even. Sammy only shrugged, "Fix your mic you sound like garbage," she said before turning towards the basement door, she paused flipping through an options menu poking the open button sighing. "It's so not fun, I like being able to kick doors open, not click a button."
"Life seems....fitting!"
Sammy only looked back shaking her head, "Wait you're mental you know that?" Moving into the door she started down into the dark and the dream slowly slipped away.

"So we go. Basement?" The voice of his friend, Sammy, spoke to him as they moved along. "I don't know, shoulding we LFG first? That ones not really meant for beginners, and I'm pretty sure I'd spend more time protecting you then doing anything else, and I'm not a ******** tank!" adventuremaster replied. "Fix your mic, you sound like garbage." Adventuremaster fiddled with his mic a bit, disgruntled at the comment. "That better?" He asked, waiting for a reply. "Anyways, like I was saying, the loots pretty sweet down there but you're way too green so I thin---" "You're mental, you know that?" "Ya okay ******** you buddy. Keep it up and I'll be kicking you from my guil--" The dream faded to black.

This is not a position he ever wanted to be in, with his most hated enemy, Ripley, looking down at him, his body lying on the ground, broken, battered, bruised, and bleeding. The other man smirked at him from above, holding his sword, the blade wet and red, high. "So it has come down to this, Finn Connor. You have been defeated by me, and now eye see it's time to even out that pathetic excuse for a face!" He cackled then, and Jack, who was hunched over and leering from behind piped up. "The ball is in your court, master. The eye-ball, that is!" The maniacal sidekick let out a shrill laugh, and Finn groaned from his position in the dirt, more from the terrible puns then from any pain he was in. "Just get it over with. Please. I'm actually begging you to ******** kill me already." He'd rather be dead then endure any more of this particular brand of torture.

Oliver the Genie. That didn't even have a nice ring to it at all. Finn wrinkled his nose up at the introduction, giving the so called djinn a speculative and slightly suspicious look. "So you're going to give me a wish. Any wish at all?" He asked, and the genie, Oliver, nodded back to him. "So say, I wanted my eye back. Poof! New eye?" The genie nodded again, but then spoke up to say. "But remember, as the old saying goes, you must be careful what you wish for. All magic comes at a price." "Ya okay, look, just give me my damn indestructible eyeball and we'll call it a deal." Finn's needs were, it seemed, quite simple. Plus he figured nothing could really go wrong with that particular wish, could it? "All right then, if that is your wish..?" Finn nodded in a assent, and made an impatient 'come on lets get this show started' motion with his hand. "Then so shall it be. Oh, uhh...s-sorry about this, Finn." The genie made a gesture, and a puff of smoke billowed up around Finn, clearing only to reveal.... The dream went black because Finn's RPers mind has gone to mush.

This dream was awfully familiar, only this time it was Jack, holding his broadsword up on high, his face split into a fierce grin. "I told you not to get ahead of yourself." He sneered, while Ripley quipped up from behind. "He's heading for a loss" Jack laughed and added on, "It's nothing, really. No reason to lose your head over it." Ripley continued. "Or in this case, we'd actually prefer it. Don't worry, it will only hurt for a second. In fact, you might call it a splitting headache." Finn just wanted to die already. Please.

Finn wandered into the school, and all he could think of was how very stiff his limbs all felt. He could see that his skin was all mottled, green and blueish pale white, and in some places closer to black. When he tried to speak, his voice came out scratchy and low, and when he tried to walk, he could only manage to shuffle along. "Yo, you new?" A voice sounded up, and a pink haired girl with pale purple skin came drifting on over, her feet not even touching the ground. "You look new. My name is Chelsea, or you can just call me Chel." She gave him a cheerful smile, and a wave of her hand, before continuing on. "So like, you're obviously undead, and that means you're practically at the bottom of the social ladder." She paused, giving him a sidelong glance. "But you're kind of cute. Got that zombie pirate thing going for you. I dig it." She shrugged her shoulders, and continued to chatter on, and on, never letting him get a word in edgewise as he shuffled along beside her, attempting to have his slow brain process everything that now seemed to be happening much too fast for it to keep up with.

Defeated, by a woman. He always knew that Fini kicked all kinds of a**, but he liked to believe that when it came down to it, in a fair fight, he would never lose to her. Oh how she had proven him wrong, and now, with her hand gripping his throat tight, and his body pushed up against the wall, she was ready to finish it. "The time has come, Finn. Are you ready to succumb?" She squeezed her hand a little bit tighter, not quite enough to completely cut off his air supply, but close. "All you have to do is admit that I. Am. Better. Then. You." She suddenly smiled at him, sweetly, releasing her grip just enough to give him a chance to talk. "I'd sooner kiss your poisonous, lying, manipulative lips then ever admit anything like that." He coughed out, which earned him his head getting slammed back into the wall as her hand closed around his throat with much more force then before. "Do it, Fini! Kill him! Kill him!" An almost shrill and childlike voice spoke up from somewhere behind the pale haired woman, and Finn caught a flash of ginger hair, a sure sign that Abbi was there, as she always was, watching. Fini, perhaps encouraged by the small redheads words, tightened her grip more, and more, and more still, until Finn could no longer breathe, his feet scrambling against the ground, his fingers clawing at her hands, his face turning blue.... And then everything faded to black. Again.

"You tried to betray me." His words were as cold as the expression on his face as he stood above the man whose face was pressed against a barrel, awaiting his execution at the hands of his own King, who's blade had been sharpened expertly just that morning. "You would have our enemies come down upon us and strip my title away. Already there are those who would question me, my power, who wonder if I am still worthy to rule." A snarl on his lips as he leaned down, closer to the man who's hands were chained together, unable to move. "I'll kill you now." He whispered, "And after that I will repair all of the damage you have done, making your attempts completely in vain. As worthless as you." He straightened, the man trembled, and in one mighty swing of his sword, all had ended.

Quote: EVENT 5: You drink a drink that tastes a little savory-sour. You dream a dream where you are of a different faction (pick and choose a different one). Here, you are shown around by (the character of the person who posted above you. If there isn't one just pick a friend of your character). They give you informative advice such as (whatever garbled dialogue the post above you has). You adjust to your new life. This drink was sour on the tongue, and Qarah did not mind it. A human led it through white-painted halls. A human? A friend. It, too, was human, and a presence rode with it in its mind, not like the Many (bugs? I thought it remembered bugs, but the thought drew unexpected horror that it flinched away from), but a companion, a chill presence, still strange but growing familiar, and the bracelet on its wrist beneath the white coat would be with it always.
This would be home, its friend explained, giving it a faintly sardonic smile, and it patted his shoulder and answered, "Home sweet home," sarcasm and amusement in its voice. Its room was bare and stark, but it had never needed more than that, and perhaps this would indeed be home. The dream left Qarah faintly unsettled and thoughtful in a way that none of the previous dreams had done. Its dream could not be accurate. Could it? Did humans think like that? Did they have companions too? 5/10
