Kaimi
Kaimi was only half paying attention to the hatching now. She was more focused on chatting with Paige and Saenshu and, most of all, getting to know Zimrith. It took some adjustment to get used to having another mind within yours, but it was an adjustment that Kaimi was beyond happy to make.
Flowers, mine? Zimrith's mind rifled around inside Kaimi's, seeking an image. Oh yes! I would very much like to wear flowers.
Oh good, Kaimi grinned. Because I thought we might decorate ourselves with blossoms and bells and go dancing about. That will turn them on their ears!

The sand heaved up, sunk down a bit, then resumed its upward push. Suddenly sand went flying everywhere as dragon wings whipped open. A sand coated dragon popped up out of the hole. It chirruped happily as it bounced a few steps toward the candidates. Clumps of wet sand falling with splats. The dragon stopped and looked at those around it. Quickly with a blur of motion it sent even more sand flying toward the candidates.
The blue, which was the color of his side without all that sand, made a noise as close to a dragon laughing as he could get. There was mischief in his eyes as the blue surveyed his handy-work.

Balchas eyed the heaving sand with trepadation, he'd suspected tunnelsnake earlier but now, this heaving sand, surely there couldn't be any MORE hidden eggs.... but there it was, a largeish hatchling heaving itself out of a hole in the sand, as well as sand flying everywhere.
He ducked as the sharding thing shucked off MORE sand, right at the candidates, he kept his bandaged arm close to himself, he didn't want it to get more sodden or sandy.
OH! it was a blue, ok, well it had better behave, Balchas wasn't in much of a mood for being bashed about by yet ANOTHER hatchling.

Jemi how many fragging dragons were under the sand, like really? Who buried four eggs and then forgot about them. Was Hyweth part flitter? She wasn't worried about having stepped on them, sand was actually a really good absorbent but still, eggs under the sand. Not approved.

Paige leaned on the table, one hand caressing Venaith's forehead as the gold rested her head in Paige's lap. The excitement had waned as Venaith's stomach grew heavy and exhaustion set in. The wonder would still remain for some time but Paige found herself trying to drift off and loosing thread of the conversations around her. Even with the rain and storm still coming down around then and her clothing soaked through she could think of nothing better than curling up under the table with Venaith and taking a long nap.

Ocean made a show of slowly getting off of Dianno, as if reluctant. She pressed her nose to his face and blew a breath of hot air at him. No, he wasnt hers. The ocean green slowly made her way to the line of girls. Was hers here? No, this one wasn't hers. She snorted at Jemi, passed Anri and Nilah, tapping them with her tail as she did so, bumping directly into Astri before yawning.

Dianno
He shoved until she was far enough off of him to allow him to get to his feet. Dianno then rolled, and scrambled away quickly. Shaffing beasts! He'd almost been killed! Luckly, while the attack had looked awful, and his robes hung loose off his shoulders, he actually handn't been to badly injured. Thin trails showed through small tears in his shirt but the robe had taken the brunt of the damage. Still, Dianno took the excuse to hightail it out of the Candidate line and retreat to the Healer tables off to the side. If he was lucky, they'd let him stay there out of the way until the Hatching was finished.
With only two eggs left and a couple on the sands, it couldn't be that much longer now. Not unless there were more hidden beneath the soaked sands.

S'aen's eyes had drifted slowly to follow the recently Impressed, particularly watching the girl who had sustained some injuries from her own dragon. He wasn't particularly surprised by that, the hatchlings seemed to have trouble controlling their own limbs properly the majority of the time. However, he still made it a point to keep an eye on the pair, seeing that they got the treatment that they needed. Fortunately, they did thanks to Becka, and he sighed.
It is good that you care, but don't stress too much. The brown bumped his nose into the back of S'aen's head, taking him by surprise. I just feel somewhat useless when I can't control what's around me. I don't think anyone should have to get hurt if I can prevent it. It was an unrealistic point of view, but he didn't much care about that. No matter what anyone said, he knew he could prevent such injuries somehow.
They are all safe right now. I'm sure the intensity of Impressing is enough to distract from any injuries. Even so, they will be taken care of. Rest, Mine! Jaecath rumbled soothingly and planted his head on S'aen's shoulder, a blue eye suddenly whirling next to the boy's face, causing him to laugh out loud.

Wen moved to Dianno, wishing to check the damage. But Dianno was on his feet and moving off by himself to the Healer's tables. What ever damage had been done, was minor if he was moving so quickly. Wen had feared that the candidate had been heavily damaged.

After passing the girls, the Ocean Green hesitated in the middle of the sands for a moment, gazing about. She moved towards Daimon, and pressed her snout roughly to his torso. Big, frightening? No, mine. You are big and frightening on your own. Instead, mine, I will teach you to make friends! Are you ready for this step, Daimonmine?

Jemi watched the green leave and rolled her shoulders, relaxing slightly. The hidden blue and the shooting star one seemed to be non-agressive. So hopefully this went with little to no blood shed.

Dianno
Tch. He rather hated that green right now. Mauling him for no reason just before she Impresses. She probably did it just because she could. Wasn't this the only point they could hurt humans? Well, she and her rider can just go and suck a trundlebug for all he cared.

I wish my siblings would stop procrastinating and find Theirs. Zimrith said through a huge yawn. I am so very tired, mine. Hatching is hard work! May I just... The little green rested her bright head on Kaimi's lap, eyes closing partially. Kaimi stroked Zimrith's head gently, smiling down at the sleepy dragonet.
Soon, my love. I'm sure they will decide soon. And then we can have a real nap.

Sandy Blue watched his green sibling find her rider. That was all sweet and all, but it was his turn! He raised his wings and bugled for the candidates to look at him. Look At Him! He arched his neck and strutted across the sand. Sure now that all eyes were upon him, he made a zigzag line between the girls and boys. Which way? Which way?
With a final zig for his last zag, the blue spun in a circle. Round and around he went until he wobbled where he stood. Woah dizzy now. Sandy blue went crossed eyed as he tried to walk straight and failed.

Wen glanced at the blue and snorted slightly. He wasn't sure if he was suppose to be amused or just sad that a hatching spun around in circles so many times it became drunk.
