"First impressions huh?" Sighing he cleared his throat looking out at the rest of the party crowd before turning his gaze to her. "Honestly? Gorgeous, intelligent, beautiful voice, hard working woman. Not to mention I'm very glad I didn't skip this little shin dig for once." Smiling charmingly he gave her a moment to process that before asking his question, "So what's your first impression of me, darlin'?"

All the woman could do was blush at the comments. So he thought pretty highly of her, huh? She thought for a moment and realized that it was probably the truth -- this man didn't seem the type to be a user. Not at least from what she had known of him.
She smiled sweetly before responding, "My first impression of you..." she stated before looking the man over quickly once more and then trailing her eyesight off to the different crowds for a moment, thinking of how to answer the question.
"Definitely handsome, charming, lovely accent, and also quite an ambitious man. All good qualities. So far I haven't had any reason to think otherwise." she stated, moving a hand through her hair, pulling it over her shoulder and letting it flow daintily down her front.
She looked down at the time on her watch -- realizing that it was getting rather late. "Oh my, how long have we been talking?" she asked surprised.

Well it was nice to get a bead on how she had viewed him. He like that they were of the same mind at least. This little game had turned out nicely but the time sure was flying by. Looking up he didn't know how long they had been sitting there talking. "No clue. We've been here the whole time. Looks like things might be winding down though." He looked around noting Domo and Lala were talking with an older Raevan at the crafts table. Spotting the plate of pineapple salad was still unfinished he reached for it, taking another bite. "No point letting this go to waste. Want some?" He asked holding up a fork full.

Melanie nodded in agreement, also looking over to where his charge and sister were. Time was flying by -- but that seemed like it was a good thing.
When the bite was offered, Melanie smiled and, with a nod, took the bite straight from the fork, chewing, swallowing, and then finally, speaking. "Thank you. I do have to say that is probably one of my better batches." she said with a slight giggle towards the end.
"So, since this party seems to be winding down, looks like we'll all be leaving soon." she said with a sigh. She hadn't even gotten much information for her article -- but that didn't even seem to matter to her anymore. She liked spending time with Xan, it was fun and fresh. Something she hadn't felt in a long, long time.

He smiled when she took a bite and went to scoop another bite for himself. Once he was done chewing and swallowing he gave her a soft smile. "It'd be a shame if I didn't get your digits before we left. Can't take you on a proper date if I don't have contact with ya, darlin." He gave her a pointed look then laughed while pulling out his cellphone.

Melanie laughed as he spoke. It was truth, however, that she did need to give this man her number for that. She smiled as she began to speak. "You're quite right about that." she began. "It's 102-890-1123. Text or call me so I have your number too." she stated with a smile, pulling out her own phone in return.

He began jotting down the number then sent a quick text back. Hey darlin, Thanatos here... ready for that date? <3 He just laughed and turned the screen off on his phone placing it back in his pocket. "There ya go. I'll call ya with a proper date and time but the place will be my little secret. On that note, I'm taking another dare..." He leaned over to kiss her gently on the cheek. "Hope ya don't mind."

When her phone buzzed, she read the message and began to giggle with a slight blush. "Sounds great." she said with a smile as she clicked the screen off and placed it back into her small bag.
As he kissed her cheek, she felt flushed. He was the most charming man she had ever met. Not taking it too far on the first meeting was a huge plus for her. A true romantic it seemed as well as a very kind gentleman. That was for certain.
"I-I didn't mind at all." she said with a smile, still blushing from the romantic cheek kiss.
The woman stood and turned around to view the man sitting before her. "I better be going, it's getting rather late. Thank you for a really lovely evening. I had a great time; and I look forward to hearing from you very soon. Take care -- and tell your party I said good night." she said, smiling, trailing her hand out over towards Domo and LaLa before taking a quick head bow and walking towards the exit, waving goodbye to the other guests as she passed them.

"At the end of the first table!" Pasha answered Laz, motioning towards the buffet towards the platter she'd brought. Curtsying with a little dip in the air, she accepted his offer of mangoes with a smile. "I'll go pick one out now, and bring it next I see you! I have a new lotion for the Doctor as well, I think he would like it."
Her voice was a little wistful, but she raised her hand in parting to Laz with a warm smile. She was overdue for the games, and from there she wanted to see Lulu and the others she hadn't gotten to greet yet. Melisande exchanged the rest of her goodbye with Lazarus and turned to drift towards the food tables, taking only a single peek back to Zul and Cesc as she left.
She wished, very much, to still be part of that conversation…but there would be time for that soon! She shot a small smile to the Demon, across the way, and turned once again.
