She nodded in agreement, though she had never had the experiences herself. Her father was the only teacher she had, and while it was often boring, he would try to make it exciting. She was a bit impressed with Matt, seeing that he knew more than a lot of educators. "I hope not all students are like you. You'll put teachers out of work", she giggled. "A lot of adults don't like to admit they're wrong. They shouldn't get so hung up about it…Kids know a lot these days. Too wise for their years…", she sighed, starting to sound like an old lady.

Matt felt himself calm down a bit from his earlier anger and decided to try to keep a calm train of thought. "Haha, I doubt there are many students that know as much as I do.." He replied with a dry laugh. 'Obviously they wouldn't, I've been to worlds where science and technology were thousands of years more advanced and naturally I have all of their information.' He thought to himself, deciding he should check out some of that stuff later. "Adults can be like that, but there are those know it all kids who don't actually know what they talk about, so it goes both ways." He stated with a light laugh and smile as he looked over at her.

She thought it would be best to change the subject again, "Say, what's the most interesting thing you've learned?" She figured talking about information would be more fun for him, seeing how much he liked his parents smarts and his own.

Matt gave a light smile at her as she seemed to think about something for a moment before changing the subject once again. "Most interesting thing I've learned? Hmm... If I had to choose, it would be martial arts. I've learned many different ones." He replied honestly as he gave her a smile. Surprisingly, his answer was more physical than a than a mental one as he did enjoy learning new ways to fight and kill. It helps get rid of his enemies much more easily and sometime quite quickly. But, that was something he did not say out loud since he did not want to be found out. "What about yourself? What was the most interesting thing that you've learned in your life?" He questioned her curiously, bringing the conversation back to her.

"Oh…", she was surprised by his answer. The kid must be pretty disciplined to study all those fighting styles. Smarts and a sense of control. What a deadly combo… She wondered if he was bullied as a kid. Lots of nerds end up taking self defense classes or some sort of sport to compensate for the giant target on their backs, right? Still, her face didn't show any pity, but she did look a bit impressed. "You sound like the kind of guy to be a jack of all trades", she said wilt mild amusement. When he asked her about her own piece of knowledge, she found it difficult to come up with anything. "Me? Well…I don't think I've really learned anything interesting. More like useful.", she spoke the truth. She was never trained to do anything besides wait on tables, and her father only gave her the tip of the iceberg when it came to schooling. When it came to life lessons, it mainly consisted of techniques to survive. How to lure travelers away from each other, how much strength it takes to over power someone bigger than you, and what to do with those who hurt you. She didn't have any tidbit of info that would amuse or intrigue anyone, at least she thought so.

Matt smiled a bit at the look of surprise she had at his reply, he bet she didn't expect that sort of answer out of him. It was clear that she was impressed with it, and called him a sort of jack of all trades. "Well, that isn't far off, so far I've mastered most of the martial arts I've learned and currently working on others. With how easy classes are, I don't really need to worry about my free time." He replied with a shrug, blatantly stating that the classes in school were considered easy to him. "Also, any piece of knowledge is useful, whether it's useful or not. Though knowledge is always useful, it just depends on the time and place. So for me, I find any sort of knowledge interesting." He replied honestly with a wry smile and a shrug. What he had said was true, since information for him along with his skills are the only thing that kept him alive in any world he's been to.

"Hmph. If classes are so easy, why doesn't he just skip a grade?" she thought. Maggie was finding herself a bit envious. Maybe her life wouldn't seem so uncertain if she got an education, but it was much too late for that now. She shook it off, no use thinking about what ifs. Her smiling face faltered only a bit, but it was barely noticeable. "Well, I don't think anything I know could apply to you…unless you plan on becoming an almost irresistible thing like me"

Matt noticed the strange look on her face when he mentioned how classes were easy. 'Ah, she is probably thinking something like if classes were so easy, why don't I skip a grade.' He thought as he looked at her. "I feel like you were thinking something like why don't I skip a grade, right? Well it's simple, I don't want to be the youngest in college, and plus there are things that you can learn even in school that they may not teach in college." He said with a light chuckle. "Though, there are colleges that do the same, I believe. They are also the places where one can get their GED" He added as a side thought. He couldn't help but smile lightly at her comment about being irresistible like her. "Well, that depends on the occupation, for example, a spy or secret agents of a government would definitely have a skills like that so that they could get information or assassinate a person." He replied after a moment of thought. He had actually had to resort to something similar to that just to get some interesting books in one of the previous worlds he been to, one of the worst time of his life as a person who hates everyone.

'Mind reader!' she thought as her eyes widened a bit. She wondered what could have given herself away. Maybe the kid was actually magically gifted….People who look human can have magical abilities after all. It would also explain why he was so smart and talented in the field of combat. Magic can always assist with strengthening skills. She raised a brow at him, "Do you plan on becoming a secret agent?"

It seemed he had hit the nail on the head based on the reaction of her widened eyes. "Who knows, maybe I am a secret agent already and am just leading you on~." He replied to her question with a light smile before chuckling lightly, though it was actually what he was doing, he was playing his 'role' as a high school student. "Also, I'm not a mind reader, your facial expressions give a lot away on what you're thinking. You can call it mind reading, but it's more accurately called experienced guessing. It's a technique in some martial arts that let you guess where an attack from an opponent will come from. I can't use magic after all, so I have to make up for it with something else, you know?" He added with a smile as he looked at her. He had his ways with dealing with magic, you'd be surprised what things occurred naturally or were made by people in the different worlds.

She giggled at his response, "I think you're a bit young for that". She was happy that he was joking around with her, he seemed to be a pretty serious boy, despite the smiling face. "You could've fooled me…", she replied in response to his ability to guess. "You could probably make money off of that", there are her 'life lessons' showing, exploiting your abilities to make money.

Matt smiled lightly at her comment about him being too young, "Oh really? Are you positive I'm even human? I could be from a race that just ages slowly, or even a shapeshifter. Though, I am indeed human, you should never judge a person by his appearance." He replied with a light smile. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit when she said that he could have fooled her, obviously he could have, but why should he? He had trained for years, gotten experience on using it, why hide that? "I could, but you can make money using many skills, it just comes down to the time and place. And it doesn't work on everyone, but it works very well on the really expressive people." He said as he leaned back on the bench. 'Ugh.. I hate long conversations, it always gets harder and harder to keep my facade when I start to run out of things to speak about that is relevant.' He thought to himself in annoyance that he didn't let show on his face.

His comment about judging appearances annoyed her a bit. He sounded like he was lecturing her, and this wasn't the first time either. She knows a human when she sees one. Humans shouldn't get too disrespectful around her, she has ways with dealing with them. A lot of other creatures, however, would be a different story. "Humans have a certain…way about them. It would be pretty bad for me if I couldn't tell the difference between a human and a shapeshifter", she explained. Maggie didn't want to go too in depth on the different smells and even sights she picks up on when it came to life forces. She was irritated, and didn't care if it showed. "You're a smart kid, but you shouldn't assume things. No matter how much experience you have, you can't know everything.", she spoke as she got up. She could tell he was done with the conversation, and she was too at this point. Not wanting to leave things on a sour note, she added, "I'm gonna finish my walk. You should drop by The Watering Hole sometime, I work there".

Matt let out a wry smile as she stated that humans have a certain way about them and it would be bad if she couldn't tell the difference. She then went on to say that he shouldn't assume things and that he can't know everything. "It's not an assumption when it comes from experience, after all, did you know that the original shapeshifters could even change their aura, their life force, to match the form they transformed into? As well as Dragons, with their powerful magic, they are easily able to transform and make their life forces appear to be the creature they have transformed into. This is something I've confirmed, miss Maggie." He explained with a hand on his chin and slight serious look as he looked to the sky. He then looked over at her as she stood, "I see, enjoy your walk then, I'll try to come over there if I have time." He said with a kind smile.

Ooh. She could just about rip his arm off. What's with this kid and wanting the last word? At what point will she ever meet one of the original shifters or a dragon? Her experiences were just as valid as his, maybe even more so. And where is a human who lived beyond the Veil getting this knowledge in the first place?! She silently simmered and gave him a friendly smile, "That's right. See ya around then, kiddo". Sure, it sounded nice, but he could probably feel the venom behind it.
