Ethan smiled as he remembered, nodding vaguely. He laughed with only a trace of self-consciousness at Ike's words, shrugging them off.
"Yes, it was. I've always liked music." He said quickly, heading off a blush before it had a chance to spread again. "Classical stuff, usually. Some American music... you know, that kind of thing. Anything that won't make my brain implode." He added, quipping a phrase Crow seemed rather fond of.
Julian closed his eyes briefly for a second, praying to every god he knew that no one else would pick up on his....odd behavior. He smiled at Rabid, though, glad she'd decided to forgive whatever he'd done so quickly.

"That's good! No one at home listens to it with me. They like the guitar heavy stuff." He made a slight face, shrugging. "I like it too, I suppose. I just... get more out of piano than bass, that's all." Ethan glanced at the cigarette and grinned slightly despite himself, thinking on something private. "Go ahead. I don't mind."
Julian said nothing, giving a barely-there shake of his head and a look that said clearly, "I'll tell you later." And in the back of his mind, he truly wished he wouldn't have to.
Crow smiled at Malachi, glad to be noticed by someone again.
"Heya, Malachi," she said. "How're you doing?"

"He... he does?" Ethan asked, looking surprised. "Huh. Well... he picked up the language, then?" he added cheerfully. It would be a rare pleasure to talk to someone aside from himself in his first language for a change. He'd really rather like it.
"Thank you for the offer," he said quickly. "I would like to hear him play."
Julian gave her what could be described only as a Look, warning her away from the subject. Not in front of everyone else, thank you.
Crow tilted her head to one side, slightly curious.
"Not bad, not bad at all. Enjoying some peace and quiet around here for a change." she said, the curiosity fading away quickly. Not that she didn't want to know what that had been all about - she just figured Ike'd explain it if he felt it necessary. Casting around for a new subject, she said,"Len mentioned something about wanting to take classes with you, next time school starts up."
